A donation for charity is not a good solution, the environment that made a starving kid starve will still be there tomorrow if you just buy him food today.

Poverty is not the problem, it is only the visible result of a bigger problem, like in medicine it is bad practice to treat the symptoms and not the disease.

I'm not hating on charity, of course it's better than nothing.. but it gives people the false notion that they can fix poverty by donation, but reality is you can only prolong it.
