@Tecogimuchasveces A dia de hoy no existe en Francia ni una linea TGV que supere los 350 Km/h comercialmente, ya que a 574Km/h el TGV tarda 35Km en frenarse por completo. Por cierto, los franceses son la gente mas racista del mundo.
El record del TGV se hizo con un tren vacio con las dos locomotoras en marcha y dejando sin luz a varios pueblos por donde el tren paso, pero su velocidad real, o sea, la comercial es bastante inferior.
En las pruebas del AVE Madrid sevilla el AVE alcanzo los 411km/h con el tren de serie sin modificaciones de motor ni irregularidades en el tendido electrico.

what you talking about? the german ice are driving 300 km/h but germany has only 2-4 highspeedlines, in generell german ice drive mostly 250 or bit less. the french tgv are better with the lines, they have 17 or more highspeedlines and can drive 300-320...and, 320km/h is not driving in germany

It's true that firstly we started buying Alstom and Siemens ICE, but currently we have two strong companies: Talgo (for high-speed and logistic trains) and CAF. CAF is one of the strongest train providers for short distances. Some notes: Talgo could achieve the deadline for giving the trains on time, but germans were out of deadline to deliver their Siemens. Talgo works better in curves and for accelerating, better than the siemens' trains.

Rápidos no. Realmente la velocidad de crucero la determina antes que el tren en sí, otros factores como el sistema de señalización. Así se explica que las velocidades en Europa sean generalmente mas altas que en Japón.

The trains AVE(HIGH SPEED TRAIN) were constructed by SIEMENS and GEC Alsthom, railway group that integrated(repaid) the societies ATEINSA, MTM and MEINFESA. Different railway Spanish industries have taken part also of important form in the construction of the trains: CAF, in his workshops of Saragossa and Beasaín, SEPSA and IBERIAN STONE, in his your factories near to Madrid (between(among) others).
I don't know why it's so important this. What really matter is was constructed by european companies, doesn't matter the country. Spain is Europe, and German & France too.

They are both safe or unsafe depending on the maintenance; read about the Eschede accident background. Technologically the difference is not that much. The Velaro (that's how the producer, SIEMENS, calls them) is not for so high velocities as the TGV, as it makes no sense; compare Germany and France on the map, the ICE has simply shorter routes and more stops than the TGV.
Well you know it's all more political than technical. Both technologies are good anyway !
The problem is Germany has many more mid-size cities, and all of them negotiate a stop in their stations...so it's not the ICE is slower, the problem is that Germany is much better "spread" than France, that has higher distance between big cities ;)
Thank you for posting this video of the Talgo 350 S-102. I saw this train last year at Malaga Maria Zambrano station and promised myself I would travel on it some day.
Well that day is soon arriving as we will be travelling from Malaga to Madrid Atocha in 9 days time.
I now have a better idea of what to expect although not sure how fast we will be travelling with only one stop at Cordoba. Time says 2hr 40 min.

The train is build by Siemens and the model is called Velaro.
The ICE3 is not a Velaro it is a earlier generation build as joint venture with Bombardier. In 2011 Velaro will come as ICE3 in service for the operation between France and Germany.

da1ada: Los españolitos en material ferroviario Hace ya décadas que tiene tecnologia de 1ª linea, los Talgos funcionan en USA desde el año 1955, y son exportadores de material ferroviario desde hace años, CAF es la empresa ganadora para la construcción de la alta velocidad en Turquia.. Tampoco es verdad que el AVE, subsidiada totalmente por la CEE, aun que así fuese no sería nada de más , para eso se paga un IVA del 18% en todo que se consume y va para las arcas de U.E, algo debe rotornar

no es que sean mas avanzados tecnologicaamente, simplemente es un medio de transporte que es muy costoso y solo es redituable, en paises con densa poblacion y no tan grandes, y espana es uno de ellos, esos trenes probablemente nunca se veran en Argentina o Mexicoo simplemente en usa,para eso esta el muy barato autobus o tren converncional y el principal medio de transporte de paises grandes , es el avion, en realidade no hay nada que envidiar a los espanoles, todos los paisesw son bonitos

Por favor vean el siguiente video y comparen su viejo tren con el tren frances, el mismo año 04/2007 escriban "RECORD DU MONDE DE VITESSE TGV" por GOOS38 y veran que atrazados estan todavia; aparte claro de ser el pais mendigo de europa. Si piensan que su tren es el mas rapido y mejor demuestrenlo con un sustento valido y no con su ignorancia racista que solo demuestra que son un pais ignorante. Saludos desde francia :)

El record del TGV se hizo con un tren vacio con las dos locomotoras en marcha y dejando sin luz a varios pueblos por donde el tren paso, pero su velocidad real, o sea, la comercial es bastante inferior.
En las pruebas del AVE Madrid sevilla el AVE alcanzo los 411km/h con el tren de serie sin modificaciones de motor ni irregularidades en el tendido electrico.

what you talking about? the german ice are driving 300 km/h but germany has only 2-4 highspeedlines, in generell german ice drive mostly 250 or bit less. the french tgv are better with the lines, they have 17 or more highspeedlines and can drive 300-320...and, 320km/h is not driving in germany

Rápidos no. Realmente la velocidad de crucero la determina antes que el tren en sí, otros factores como el sistema de señalización. Así se explica que las velocidades en Europa sean generalmente mas altas que en Japón.

The trains AVE(HIGH SPEED TRAIN) were constructed by SIEMENS and GEC Alsthom, railway group that integrated(repaid) the societies ATEINSA, MTM and MEINFESA. Different railway Spanish industries have taken part also of important form in the construction of the trains: CAF, in his workshops of Saragossa and Beasaín, SEPSA and IBERIAN STONE, in his your factories near to Madrid (between(among) others).

They are both safe or unsafe depending on the maintenance; read about the Eschede accident background. Technologically the difference is not that much. The Velaro (that's how the producer, SIEMENS, calls them) is not for so high velocities as the TGV, as it makes no sense; compare Germany and France on the map, the ICE has simply shorter routes and more stops than the TGV.

The problem is Germany has many more mid-size cities, and all of them negotiate a stop in their stations...so it's not the ICE is slower, the problem is that Germany is much better "spread" than France, that has higher distance between big cities ;)

Thank you for posting this video of the Talgo 350 S-102. I saw this train last year at Malaga Maria Zambrano station and promised myself I would travel on it some day.
Well that day is soon arriving as we will be travelling from Malaga to Madrid Atocha in 9 days time.
I now have a better idea of what to expect although not sure how fast we will be travelling with only one stop at Cordoba. Time says 2hr 40 min.
I will post some video after the trip.Thanks.

If allEurope could build railroads like these, air travel on short distances could cease, which would be a good thing for the environment and for the congestion in the airports. The train is build by Siemens and the model is called Velaro.
The ICE3 is not a Velaro it is a earlier generation build as joint venture with Bombardier. In 2011 Velaro will come as ICE3 in service for the operation between France and Germany.

Uno como es sudaca, de Chile, no sabe mucho de estos trenes, que son de otro mundo, espectaculares.

El tren Velaro de la empresa Siemens que puedes ver en el video es de ancho UIC (1.435 mm). Toda la red española de alta velocidad - serán unos 10.000 km en el año 2020 según los planes del gobierno - se construye en ancho UIC. También está previsto cambiar toda la red convencional de 1.668 mm a 1435 mm. Mientras tanto, también han puesto trenes con rodadura desplazable que prestan servicio en toda la red.

The trade name is Velaro-E (Siemens S103),this train is similar but is more fast,more powerful and more luxurious that ICE-3, maybe in one year can reach 350 km/h commercial speed, RENFE (the spanish operator continued working on it

I think that Spain has demostrated how a poor country can became developed with a good utilization of EU money. Spanish HST and HS railways are only an aspect of this. In general Spain has good infrastructures built with the money of European Union.
RENFE is a well-known train-maker all over the world, and the AVE-S 103 is the quickest HST in the world (when it will possible to reach the max speed of 350 kph), and one of the coolest!

Nowadays is certainly not a poor country, but surely was not in today (good) conditions 20 or 30 years ago. This is because the Spaniard politics has improved all the country in latest 20 years utilizing also the EU money. I only wanted to make a compliment, because if Spain was not a poor country, today is surely richer than 70s or 80s!
In Italy there are persons that receive EU money for create firms and utilize it to buy new cars. Did you understand in what kind of country i live?

YES . Many ROMANIANS are work in SPAIN For develompent of that country. Only me i know 14 Railway DRIVER ENGINEER ( work for modernisation rail to European gauge ) and 1 Second maintenance Manager on RENFE with ROMANIAN nationality.

Otro sudaca tirando mierda. Pregúntale a los alemanes si les ha venido bien tener un mercado abierto de 45 millones de personas más. Ah, y pregunta también quién ha pagado la sanidad durante años de los muchos jubilados alemanes que viven en España, que generan gasto social y no contribuyen en nada. Vamos a ver subnormalón. Eso es simplemente un test a ver qué velocidad alcanzaba. ¿Te crees que van a ir a 600km/h en servicio comercial? España tiene el récord de velocidad en máquina diésel (238km/h) que lo consiguió GIF con el Talgo XXI.

Si te sintieras orgulloso de algo de tu país, usarías internet para alabarlo, pero como no es el caso de tu tercermundista agujero, dedicas tu tiempo a hablar mal de los que están años luz por delante. EU is not a non profit organization, but an exclusive club where everybody takes profit. Look why they want Turkey to be part of... are they stupid people giving money for nothing in return? You are so puerile. Spain, Portugal and other incorporations, opened their markets to another countries, sacrificed part of their industries, etc. etc. Oh, and Spain pays a contribution to the EU, don't forget. The ICE-3 is operating with commercial speeds around 320km.
Velaro is just another version of ICE. (both Siemens). And there are also different versions of Velaro.
The Velaro RUS, Velaro -- E, Velaro CRH3.
They are already planing a brandnew version of Velaro especially for the german market as successor to the ICE-3.
AVE S-103 (=Velaro)is still operating with 300km, but soon it will go with 350km.

This train shown here is also made in Germany, like the chinese maglev "Transrapid".

Nice train, but totally subsidised by the European Community. As nearly everything in Spain (airports, railstations, freeways...). When do they finally cut the Multi-Billions of Euro each year from Brussels? Taxpayers from net-paying countries of the E.U. are getting rid to finance all this, we are already paying since 1985!

I think you all should stop arguing about whether Spain or Germany has a better economy. We are two active members of the European Union (the European Super State as Americans use to call it currently :P) Both Germany and Spain are highly important parts of it.

Very, very cool train! Many complimets to Spanish Railways! But i heard about some problems on Madrid-Lerida line. Have already been solved that problems? And when will the ERTMS/ETCS system be installed for reaching top speeds (350 Kph)? (Sorry for my English!!!!!)

da1ada: Los españolitos en material ferroviario Hace ya décadas que tiene tecnologia de 1ª linea, los Talgos funcionan en USA desde el año 1955, y son exportadores de material ferroviario desde hace años, CAF es la empresa ganadora para la construcción de la alta velocidad en Turquia.. Tampoco es verdad que el AVE, subsidiada totalmente por la CEE, aun que así fuese no sería nada de más , para eso se paga un IVA del 18% en todo que se consume y va para las arcas de U.E, algo debe rotornar
