If I remember rightly, it was VERY rare for anyone to perform live on Top of the Pops, the production just wouldn't allow it, so it seems a little pointless to remark upon it as if you're exposing some great secret.

Amazing that Radiohead get away with loads of pretension but Mansun were crucified (by critics) for the same thing, awesome band and severely underated. N.B really like radiohead also.

agree agree. talking about pretension look at the current heap of british bands. they're a joke compared to a predecessor like Mansun. the Six album back then was too advanced for for the general music fan, thus all the crucification. Six is always and forever a classic masterpiece in my book.
