  • someone, can send me a message? i don't understand what kind of external microphones I can use with my Panasonic gf1 (like Olympus ep-1)

  • I like the video quality but disappointed now that there's no mic socket. what kind of post production was done?

  • This is actually great sound for a mono microsoft. I hope the lx5 mic sounds like that too.

  • Wonderful video. I have a GF1 and can't figure out how to open video files with iMovie. Advice?

  • whats so good about four thirds

  • Great videoqality and musicans!

  • Thanks for uploading!

Typical for digicams: you can see the 30fps. It should be 60fps, but it is not (actual) in the compact dslr class (pen1/2 & gf1). :-|

  • the build in mono mic is better than those nikon dslr.

  • autofocus

  • Why no body only release? that will much cheaper and rival d90 buyer.

  • Hi fourthirdsuser!

    Good video! ;-)

I love the GF1 and I would buy it, but my fear is that videos without OS are not good, too vibrations...But your video is good. Have you used GF1 with 20 1.7?

If yes i think really to buy it :-)

    Regards :)

  • Pretty decent quality from a stills camera I have to agree but what was going on with the focus, was it on auto and hunting and, if so, can I override that? I need to check and see if the GF1 has a mic socket. Footage that I have seen of the GF1 elsewhere looked fractionally jerky in movement.

  • There is no mic socket. Focus was on auto, but you can minimise focus hunt by moving the AF sensor to a stationary area of the subject or switch to manual focus.

  • Thanks :) I felt sure there would be a mic socket! Does the mic have manual level control or is it fully auto? I bought a Kodak about 18 months ago that had HD, lovely quality but I couldn't find a way to override the focus hunting, drove me nuts and I took it back to the store, very little manual control. The GH1 looks to be better than the GF1, on low light and def, though pricy. Have you compared it to a camcorder?

  • Not bad. So many new camera choices this last month...

  • Nice! The quality is very good!
