Jefferson to the Danbury Baptist Association of Connecticut saying "I contemplate with sovereign reverence that act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature should 'make no law respecting an establishment of religion, prohibiting the free exercise thereof,' thus building a wall of separation between church and State."

@villanonickXgmail Jefferson quotes the 1st Amendment then uses "wall" to separate the government from interfering with religion. the First Amendment puts Restrictions only on the Government, not the People! The Warren Court re-interpreted the First Amendment thus putting the restrictions on the People! Today the government can stop you from Praying, reading the Bible, etc in school. This is different from Jeffersons visions, protecting the people from government interference with Religion.

Just answering. Anti-military (within our nation) is someone who shows or exhibits disdain or a conscious indifference towards our military. This is a problem when you desire to be elected President (which carries with it the job of Commander-in-Chief of our Armed Forces). While the New Testament contains all sorts of peaceful messages, its credibility is established only by the Old Testament where a messiah was prophesized. So, Jesus is supposed to be the son of God but God, the father, was the main character of the OT. It is God the father who instructs believers to wipe out entire communities, kill adulterers, offers rules regarding slavery and a whole host of other atrocities. Like Obama says, READ the Bible.
