  • i love this excercise, after doing this set (for a few more reps perhaps) i usually like to switch my final 2 sets of 5 and then 6 plates to the one arm version for 10-12 reps with the angled grip (i use overhand when i do both arms, much tougher in my opinion)

i feel this is the one excercise responsible for my beastly back (even more than pullups/pulldowns and i do love those too)

  • great lift man, don't pay attention to all these other people who can "supposedly" lift way more without any proof, great job!

  • What part of the back does this workout? The lats?

  • @ancientdagger yes, BUT really the entire back other than lower back

lats, teres, rhomboids (alot), rear delts....... the jury is out on traps, mostly because no one can agre on what are the traps (visually assumed as the very top of the back and a lot of time confused with rhomboids in the middle)

  • Why are u grunting like a idiot? I know high schoolers pushing the same weight and for more reps and not making any noise, even when squeezing out the very last rep. ur a moron. UH! HUH! ARRGH! GAAAH! GUUH! PFFT!

  • Dude, the grunting is mad annoying and intimidating to new body builders, don't do that.

  • Light weight! I just made 4 plates last Back workout. Next goal is 5 plates.

  • hey i weigh 190lbs and i can do five plates on each side with 8 reps sets of three. so take that to the bank!!

  • You guys are full of shit, lol...4 plates is actually pretty good and its not that easy...maybe you guys are all 300lb freaks on roids and do 20 plates on each side...but 4 plates is not exactly for the weak morons.

  • looks good

its not that impressive if you look at the overall weight but

bodybuilding isn't about how much you lift its not powerlifting.. its about getting bigger and bigger

anyways, keep lifting hard (i assume you lift alot more by now by looking at the submission date)

    5 stars dude.. no less

  • Thanks for the encouragement. That vid was a while ago and as you said its a process. I was barley breaking 180lbs of bodyweight in that vid. As you said its about progression. I hit a high of 217lbs at 5'7" this season to cut for competition in the middle weight category. i am really big on contraction of the muscle being worked. But good looking out and thanks again.

  • sup knine. youtube is filled with depressed young kids. disable commenting or just ignore them. nice lift.

  • thanks alot for the encouragement. Its funny though that they make all the comments yet they have yet to understand that I don't post to say how strong I am. I post just because. 75% of Americans are either overweight or obese so even if it is only 4 plates its 4 plates more than 75% of the couch potatoes out there. Also I grunt when I lift....most of the folks on here that make silly comments could NOT do an entire workout with me.....period!!!

  • SouthFlorida got pwned

  • Seriously, 4 plates on that particular machine isnt too impressive. So you should get rid of the grunting. I have seen high school students, at a mere 140 lbs, do 3 plates at my gym for sets and reps and no grunting.

  • I really don't understand where all of the hating is coming from. Like I stated on a few of my other vids there are a few things that you should ask before talking out of turn.

    1. Do you even know how much I weigh?

    2. Do you have any idea what set that is for me?

    3. Why talk about how much the students do, lets talk about how much YOU are doing.

    4. Go to my space dot com / k_nine110 and compare your back development to mine

  • Couldn't agree with you more mate.

SouthFloridaFusion is a tool. Any person whom regularly works out knows, its never about how much you lift.

  • @faightyoubloke except for people for whom it is...... you're an idiot, who are you to tell people what their goals should be

  • Grunting often helps psychologically. Without it, the odds are that he wouldn't be able to lift as much. Look it up, the research is there.
