Star Trek: The Cage Original Black and White intro

I'm glad I recorded these episodes on VHS in the 1980s and then transferred them to DVD later, as they originally appeared, before all the modern computer graphics were inserted. To me, it's like colorizing Bogart's Casablanca. Butchery!

It would have been nice if they included the complete original pilot as an extra on the series DVD. I've seen others, such as The Munsters season 1, where they included the original unaired pilot.

I do wish the entire black & white version were available (having the original voice of the 'Keeper' throughout). I would not be surprised, however, if it were destroyed when they reconstructed the color version in the 1980s.

wish i remembered the difference, mostly something about a missing scene of elevator melting or entrance to elevator altered to hide some secret door trick.

It would be interesting to see the original edit of The Cage. Every version available is at least a little bit different than the one the NBC guys saw in 1964.
