AC/DC died when Bon did in my opinion. Brian Johnson is a good recording artist but fights to sing every note live, it's uncomfortable to watch him. Not trying to offend the new generation of fans, it's just if you grew up with a unique original like Bon, the replacement who filled his boots never improved the band.

They went more mainstream, and thats not AC/DC were about. They were, and are, about rocking out and not about being in the charts. Still, they became more successful and well known.

ITs a bit of a hard call. If you had seen them in the 80's or early nineties Brian could crank it out just like he does on the albums. The voice ages as everything else. If Bon was still here he wouldnt sound anything like his recordings either. Brians in his sixties, or course he's not going to sound like he did 30years ago. First few albums he sang well, but age and touring takes it toll on everyone, Robert Plant is another example.
