patches aren't downloads.

When you play a game with xbox live, it'll have mandatory updates that you have to download.

clearing your cache removes just those.

they did patch it but you can just go to your dashboard and go to system settings>memory and press y xx LB xx RB and hit yes.. then start rsv2 and dont update.. now you can do it again

I've seen this before, you don't need to use your team mate to do anything. All you have to do is stay within 9 meters of the guy disarming the bomb. This prevents him from disarming the bomb saying that "you're to close for him to concentrate". Once you move past 9 meters, that's when the enemies spawn all over and the story progresses.
