  • When will the people of Greece realize that Mr. George Puppet-Dreou and his ilk have sold out their country to the European central bankers. I guess the state of the Greek economy speaks for itself with respect to the promised prosperity for joining the EU. And then of course their is the new religion of the climate change fraud. George has surely agreed to sign away Greece's sovereignty at Copenhagen. Our birthplace of democracy will soon be one of the first to fall to the new world order.

  • @geeleegoat

wow so the economy was ok before he was elected? damn i never knew that :D so he messed it up in the 3 months since he has been elected? or was it that other fat ass

  • Except that the president of PASOK has shown that when in power, he delivers. As mnister of education he made it law that all positions for professors are announced on the net. He founded the Open University. As minister of foreign affairs he brought in grass-roots organizations into the process of international affairs

(recall his seismic diplomacy) He is also the only leader in GReece voted in from the base, not through party structure. Who else has done that?

  • I keep one thing out of this...World nowadays is indeed being ruled by money and market in general and Greek economy is by a big part based on the tourism which tourism is fragily depended on the climate,so if we were gonna meusure the action suposed to be taken by each country,Greece should be one of those who should give the biggest fight against enviromental issues.

  • @beberatno Tourism is also dependable on political stability(no strikes/riots) and on the price range in the tourism country. What ruled the world before?? you don t think that states didn t borrow money on a moneymarket before? that states can t go bankrupt due to missmanagement?(Mexico 1982,UK nearly 1976)

  • I am Greek.

I couldn't agree more with what Göran Persson said in this video:

The only thing that the Market does well is to MAKE MONEY AT ANY COST. They just don't care!

THERE HAS TO BE A POLITICAL WILL TO SOLVE SUCH ISSUES.

  • I would suggest to the President of the Greek Socialist Party to direct his resources towards Education and the greatest feats of all, which is to CHANGE the GREEK MENTALITY towards a more secular, competitive and wholistic state, without changing its good characteristics. Hard job to do....

  • Would it not be better if, by taking into account the tendency of the Greek people as individuals and the tendency of Greek society to NOT change, serious Greek issues are adressed gradually and the main points tackled one by one?

Does the President of the Greek Socialist Party really think that CHANGE can come so easily in this land?

  • I would also like to ask the President of the Greek Socialist Party if he is actually contemplating the possibility of a transition to a greener Greek economy (if of course a PROPER transition is implied) without considering the economic capacity required for such a feat and therefore the time that is required for such a transition, not to mention the political ramifications during his effort. So I guess it is better to speak of easily achievable feats at least when talking to the Greek Public..
