I never gave much importance to cronological time in this film, I just took the three stories as metaphors completely. Knowing the dates can make you start wondering if he lived all that long or something like that. I'll try to watch it again at filmsi.co.cc with a different point of view :)

God, I'm a MMA fighter, I know quite a bunch about violence, but still I can't imagine myself causing either physical or emotional harm to any woman like in this movie, this horrifies me knowing that even nowadays, there are still some women are living such conditions.

I swear if I ever come across such individual(s), I'll kick their asses, and make them learn what's a real man like, who respect women, and fight for the weak.

This is an AWFUL movie. It's really really good but just all of the cruelty and stuff sickens me to no end. Don't get me wrong, I loved it. It's just that people like these portrayed in the film exist everywhere and it's so sickkkkk.

Saw it yesterday at the ICA in London. It had a very promising first half and some truly heart wrenching scenes. However I was disappointed by the use of fairly straightforward horror conventions once the 'revenge' started. The final payoff with the main character from Seoul was very weak. Still, very nicely shot (although colours and blacks on the DigiBeta projection at the ICA were very washed out) and wonderfully acted.
