"I was dead before I knew you. And I would know you again, and again! AND AGAIN! AND AGAIN! AND A THOUSAND TIMES AFTER -UFF!" (probably about the time they started to rough me up, if not earlier) I'm afraid I wouldn't last very long in that world, being the crazed conflagration that I would be.
I'm afraid I harbor little delusion of retirement age NOW...
Why not, it is indeed to keep the current structure of society intact. they distract you with a "war" on some abstract or obscure thing, then they take your freedom.
"war on terror"
"war on drugs"
victory is not possible. they are meant to be continuous.
@CommanderGene And yet there is no defined path to victory, considering "terror" is a TACTIC, rather than a sovereignty, or a well defined enemy or state. Just think about it. Only about a year ago, veterans like myself who fought in the "war on terror" have now been deemed potential extremists by the department of homeland tyrann- er, I mean "security"
The last people who learn the true meaning of "Never say never" will be the first slaves of state.
I understand, but people said the same thing about the Cold War. How can you fight a concept like "Communism" after all? It's not a sovereignty or a well defined state, yet eventually Communism has fallen in Europe.
@CommanderGene You maybe have a point...but communism is still a concept while "terrorist" can still be doublespeak for anything, with a flexible definition. Just look what Big Brother did to the Hutaree with such an applied convenience...
I looked at your profile, and I see much of our views coincide... i.e. hating big government for example. I can see where you're coming from now, I just mostly agree with the war on terror because I come from Israel, so I know the kind of damage terrorists can cause.
@CommanderGene Israel? I'm sorry about how our president treated your prime minister. He has been disrespectful of all our close allies in the past year, and he doesn't represent us adequately. The bastard and his cronies are trying to remove "terrorist" from the public vernacular, except when they want to persecute Christian patriot militias merely for exercising their Constitutional rights. It's an outrage, and we've been growing in our defiance.
I know, the current administration pretty much just wants Israel to solve all their problems in the Mid East, all the while criticizing us for daring to defend ourselves against the poor terrorists.
And as for the word terrorist not being a part of vernacular, it truly is ridiculous. I actually heard someone on the news blame the attempted terror attack in Times Square to probably be the work of a man who's upset with the healthcare bill, not a terrorist. Really??...
well it show how progression can lead you to a trap if you don't keep out a keene eye for deception. it's about unity and we are all seperated on our own cause, there is no one out there trying to unite it's up to you.... people like alex jones try to create fear, there is nothing to be afraid of we are together in this, the people are in control they are just blinded to unity thus taking that power away.
What would I say before they took her away?

I doubt that the war on terror is fought for the same reasons that Oceania's government fights a perpetual war.

@CommanderGene They TRIED to blame it on their own countrymen. But the contrary evidence proved embarrassingly otherwise.
