This tag team wasn't exactly the best as it never made a huge impact or anything because it was an incarnation & incarnations don't usually take-off well but I liked it as it worked at the time when it was around back in the day & did it's job with no fuss.
Not everyone has to win the Championships. It's about having unique careers/resumes that make wrestlers stand out & that is what we remember them for.
It's important we remember the teams, men & woman who were not around WWE/F for that long.
Were the New Blackjacks supposed to be heels or faces? i never figured it out. anyway i can't believe Vince pulled the plug on that, they could have worked and been tag champs, i mean windham could have taught Bradshaw a lot more including how to act to wrestlers in the backstage.
Except for the New Age Outlaws! Heh, I get what you mean, though. New incarnations of old teams rarely take off... New Midnight Express didn't. Even the new Four Horsemen in WCW didn't.
So i have a question and someone please reply back JBL NOW WAS BRADSHAW THE GUY WITH LONG BLACK HAIR? THAT USED TO HAVE A GROUP FORMED CALLED LIKE APD OR SOMETHING WITH RON SIMMONS A.K.A FAROOQ ?
yes, they used to have an "office" backstage and used to play poker and drink. When someone came up to them, the APA shouted at them to walk through the door, even though there was no wall :P
the blackjacks remind me of a southern style deuce and domino, windham = domino, the big strong cool headed tough guy, bradshaw = deuce, big, strong, short tempered tough guy, won't hesitate to crack someone in the mouth.

actually, he used this before teaming with Windham, but was not his original theme.

I thought this was a great gimmick and tag team, but unfortunately it never took off. Not sure why. Windham ending up back in WCW.

any time there is a "new (fill in blank)" tag team, it never takes off.

Yeah. It's A.P.A. (Acolytes Protection Agency). There always has to be that one tag team that everyone is afraid of, and they were it for a while.

LMAO at the ring attire.
Wasn't this the "New Blackjacks" gimmick that he and the other guy had? (Don't remember his name)

What is the Blackjacks i think it was Blackjack mulligan
trainboy15 3 years ago
Thanks! I realized after I made this post that it was Barry Windham.
PHJ21 3 years ago
The New Blackjacks were based on the fact that Barry Windham is Blackjack Mulligan's son and that JBL was supposedly the nephew of Blackjack Lanza.

@DANfan69: that's what I heard but I thought they were both the son's of the blackjacks.
