@uknownada Seriously doubt that Phelous is a Hunter. Pretty sure they didn't have rocks or shells attached to their sweaters and it doesn't seem to fit with the fantasy/adventure motif. And I could have sworn that 8-bit Mickey was supposed to be dressed as Peter Pan. And Jew Wario is the Goblin King from the Labyrinth (that David Bowie movie).
