@DANATRINGWOOD that is debatable. civics and integras can go either way. civics have to much body roll and they are under powered. the integra has a fantastic suspension but weak unibody. it flexes so much when the car is on a lift the doors wont shut. i used to own an integra and my mom had a civic. older models like 96. i bought a 2001 turbo bmw m3 just a few weeks ago. still fixing it up but i think the m3 could make you look at a honda and think rice. when im done with it ill have videos

@DANATRINGWOOD sweet thanx. it will be a wile. needs a clutch and the motor has sludge in it not bad. but enough to make me uncomfortable.so im going to tear it all down clean every inch inside and out and put in new bearings and seals. i rebuild engines for a living as a chrysler gold certified tech. mercedes engines are used in many mopar cars. jeep liberty is an example. the special tools needed are the same for most german cars. shouldn't be an issue.

Well yeah shore, but the thing is that the most common extinguisher in cars are powder extinguishers, and they generally cause more damage than good because that powder finds it´s way everywhere in the engine and when it get into the electrics etc it´s finished. it´s impossible to clean up, and i don´t know how it works with the insurance companies in your country, but here in Sweden they don´t pay for the damage caused by the extinguisher, so you can just as well let it burn

the first thing you need to do when your car is on fire is keep the bonnet closed! So the air can't get to it so easy! And then you take your fire extinguisher (srr for spelling I'm belgian) and spray under the hood when closed or a little bit opened! It's a shame really, love this little sportsback! R.I.P.

I didn't know anything about Fiesta ST's it was the 1st time i'd had a chance with 1. It totally disappointed me on the acceleration "WOW" factor. My Leon FR TDi can beat it on a straight with its 200Bhp remap, don't even ask about its in-gear punch. I was behind an old 1.4CL Polo going for gold on the M27, I dropped the cogs flat out, I couldn't overtake it!

Its 200Bhp but its still a Diesel that beats a weak-ass petrol which is 150Bhp & is smaller & therefore should be faster. Leons have great taste I know, Hows this for taste: Ford Fiestas look like Kermit the frog when you look at them from the front but look like a MK1 Fiat Punto at the back. This old Polo 1.4 8V CL was not even 90Bhp & a Fiesta ST with 150Bhp & a 2.0 16V engine (Gears dropped @ 87Mph with the right RPM) couldn't even hardly get past it. I only started to slide past it gradually after nearly hitting 120 miles an hour but it was an effort. The only time it was quite reasonable was 1st & 2nd gear any other gear was crap. After borrowing 1 I would rather have a VTS anyday even if its built like shit & French, its actually quicker & less fuel juicy . ST was no fun.

too much to modify? ive spent £600 and gained nearly 40bhp. cheap compared to some company's charge for sat nav at about £1000. the standard st parts are restrictive so more young drivers could get insured. in its class its probably the easiest and cheapest to modify
