  • How is it that Iranian mobs and secret police can be bought for a few dollars ? Seems to me that the blame for the coup rests with corruptible elements of Iranian society. Why was propaganda against the government effective? Where were the ethical and rational Iranians dxuring this turmoil?

  • It was all about oil back then.

  • finghilli

Your a bloody idiot & a facist how dare you call Mossadegh a communist or attempt to demonise him You moron he was a Nationalist if anything Mossadegh was a GREAT man A Prime minister with integrity Who ACTUALLY CARED about the Iranian people Thanks to Him Irans oil was NATIONALISED which Stopped the EXPLOITATION by the British not just of Irans Oil but of its oil workers who the British Co's treated like shit Mossadegh had the BALLS to stand up to Britian & say NO MORE FREE RIDE

  • Dude, youre just typing things that are clearly out of personal feelings, ncollings3 is right back up your statements if youre sure!

And by the way from what i understood Dr.Mossadegh didn´t support communism.

    youre just ignorant.

  • This sounds eerily similar to the Cou de ta in regard to Chavez not that long ago. Are we being manipulated in the reverse in regard to Chavez?

    Very interesting and worth researching.

  • then why put it up here?

  • ncollins: savak was created and directed by mossad and cia. it was head of savak that saved khomaini's life. it was 2nd man of savak the betrayed Shah during 1978 and helped islamic regime to establish new savama and left with tons of money, unharmed to isreal while nationalist from armed forces were executed

  • Yes, the Shah did control SAVAK. He actually created it in 1957.

You're really having a hard time understanding that the Queen of England has no authority. The Shah most certainly did.

How did the Carter betray the Shah?

  • Exactly my point. Just because you say it doesn't make it true. You must back up your own statements.

So again, I'll ask: what is your source for your statement that Mossadeq dissolved parliament? Give a magazine/date or a book/page or even better even a weblink. If not, then should probably stop making things up.

  • You say that you do not need to back up your own statement that Mossadeq dissolved parliament. Fine.

Watch this: The Shah of Iran was actually an alien from outer space. I don't need to provide a source. It's simply true because I say it is. Right, Finghilli? You have the mind of a child.

  • Finally, at least you admit that SAVAK existed under the Shah. You said before that the Queen of England and Shah were similar. Does the Queen of England control MI6?

We're in agreement about Carter then. Of course he supported the Monarchy. Like I said, he stopped the payments to the mullahs in 1977. I've also seen video of him partying with the Shah.

  • ncoolins: carter may have shown to be friend of Pahlavis, but in reality he was in touch with mullas when he spent in Iran for new year, mullas were not in power in1977 and carted never stopped any payment to them.

  • I'm aware that the mullahs were not in power in 1977. However there were payments in the millions that the US govt was making to keep the mullahs quiet under the Shah:

"The payments to the ayatollahs and mullahs began in 1953 and continued regularly until 1977 when President Carter abruptly halted them."

    SOURCE: SF Chronicle, March 3 1980, p15

  • Again, I don't know why you insist on making up your own history. You need to provide a source that Mossadeq dissolved parliament or admit this is baseless. In fact, the parliament willingly granted Mossadeq emergency powers.

You or your family must have must have benefited much from the Shah days, if you can't even admit the existence of SAVAK.

  • 1. Are you saying that SAVAK did not exist?

    2. Please tell how the Iranian people could have selected a new king. You claim there was a way. What was it?

I agree the Ayatolahs are horrible. But Carter did not support them. In fact, he was the first president to stop millions of dollars in payments to them in 1977.

  • You keep ignoring the atrocities and undemocratic methods carried out by the Shah. You are in denial.

    1. The Shah's SAVAK trained by Israelis to torture Iranians

    2. No choice for Iranians to remove or replace the Shah

    3. People could not even speak publicly against the Shah

Were these true or false during Shah? Please answer that.

  • You say there's nothing wrong with what happened in 1953. Ok. There's nothing wrong with SAVAK and having Israel train the Shah's police how to torture their own people? There's nothing wrong with endless rule of the Shah without any elections so the people can have a voice? There's nothing wrong suppressing freedom of speech so that nobody could even speak out against the Shah? Then you should really like the mullahs, if you liked the Shah.

  • The point is that Iran suffered because of foreign intervention by the UK's blockades and boycotts...not because of policies of Mossadeq. The bottom line is that the Shah remained in power thanks to capitalist powers in the west....despite what the people of Iran wanted.

  • So what if the UK has no written Constitution. The Queen is a figurehead. The Shah was more than that.

So perhaps you also prefer the Supreme Leader over democracy too? I'm sure it is illegal to go against them now just as you claim it was illegal for Mossadeq to go against the Shah in 1953. With that reasoning, Iran will always be under the mullahs.

  • WHAT A LOAD OF CRAP --- I guess CIA has to put this kind of shit out to say that they are capable bunch - but we all know that their are shit and full of liers and incompetent cunts - look at what they have dome in 2001 and in Iraq ... hahahah

  • The Queen of UK has no binding authority. The Shah absolutely did. You are proving yourself wrong.

I AM focusing my efforts on my own country. My own country interfered with Iran's politics in 1953 to control their natural resources by keeping a puppet in power.

This is in the National Archive. It's like you are denying the sky is blue.

  • The 1979 revolution is a different topic. Let's settle the 1953 one first.

  • Okey there is nothing to settle my friend. First of all both mossadeq and the Shah is dead.

The only thing that is important now is that Reza Pahlavi is the real opposition against this mullahs. He dosent have to be king when iran will be free. The guy has PH.D in Political science and alot of other atriubtes that he can bring Iran.

    LONG LIVE FREEDOM..

  • The nation suffered because the UK began a naval blockade among other things to make the Iranian economy go down.

  • According to the CIA their projects be preskiberade over 30 years. How is it that the media knew about the so called coup? Think a little people the CIA was behind everything the Iranian revolution 79. They wanted khomeini to the power.

  • Finghilli jaan: I belive people use the word puppet in wrong statments.. How could the shah be a puppet when he wanted the best 4 his country? He just made business with them.. and if people watch his interviews they will se that after 1973 shah turned his back on the west cuz they wanted to interfare to much in irans foregin affairs. All this mossadeq shit is american work..

  • 1. What question?

    2. Negotiating for 20+ years? Shah knew if he tried interfering in the oil plunder, he would face the end of his rule.

    3. You gave me names. Give me an article or a book.

    4. This seems to be the disconnect. WHO ELECTED THE SHAH?

    5. If I was a UK/US agent, why would I post videos about UK/US covert coups? You're not even trying to be rational.

  • 1. You are ridiculous. If it was democratic, then tell me who elected him?

    2. The Brits were taking HUGE shares of oil revenue before Mossedeq tried to nationalize. Do you deny this?

    3. For the 3rd time, send a source that says that Mossadeq dissolved parliament. I want a link or at least a book and page number. Or are you making this up?

    4. A ruler for life. Yes, that's bad. Certainly not democratic. Think of Saudi Arabia, North Korea. You must be a grandchild of the Shah or something.

  • well could you please tell me who elected mossadeq? He got the power cuz the shah gave him the prime minister post. SO how could mossadeq be a democratic man ? he wasent elected?... You should instead look how jimmy carter helped khomeini to the power. their is alot of video clips her on the tube.

  • The parliament elected Mossadeq, but it was ultimately the decision of the Shah to appoint him. Again, when one person has the final say, it's not democratic. How can Mossadeq or anyone get a true democratic election within a monarchy? You can't. Mossadeq favored throwing out the UK/US which were controlling Iran via the Shah.

  • 1. Of course trying to rid your own country of a monarchy/dictator is illegal...because he makes it illegal. It's not necessarily against the country...it's against the ruler.

    2. He was a puppet. He gave the British and Americans the resources they wanted: oil.

    3. I asked you for a source here. You said he dissolved parliament. Can you back up your own statements?

  • 4. You're saying it was illegal to overthrow a Monarchy. Yeah, ok....I'm sure it was.

    5. Again, you're ignoring the huge support here from the US and UK.

    6. Yes, the Cold War was going on. No, he was a nationalist. He wanted Iran's resources for Iran. If that makes him communist, fine.

  • Aren't you the same person who 2 years ago commented: "Long Live Monarchy in Iran"? You start off with negative credibility.

    1. Mossaddeq was democratically elected. That doesn't make the government democratic. From what I read, the election was non-binding. Like you said before, it was a monarchy.

    2. Right. It was the foreign governments who enacted the coup in behalf of the Shah (their puppet).

    3. Can you provide a source that tells that he dissolved the parliament? Never read that one.

  • The Shah was psychologically co-opted like any President of the United States, just another servant.

  • With his oil revenues he turned iran into an armed fortress against communism and its true he stood up to stalin but he knew what show had been put on for his return and that torturing people would prevent his opposition from repeating the CIA's operation and against him. He claimed before he died he'd stopped torturing people because the Red Cross had asked him to do so. CIA murdered the elected man who'd dared to direct the wealth of Iran's oil away from the west, they fed poison to him.

  • Furthermore , if the US and other western powers continue to behave in this way ..it will only continue to , justifiably , enrage Muslims , to resort to acts of "terrorism" ..If a Muslim flys planes into a building and kills 3000 Americans ..it's the end of the freaking world ...

When America enforces an embargo on a much smaller country , killing 1.5 million Muslims ..Oh well ..Collateral damage. It was in our "interest" , we can do that , we're Americans.

  • Mosaddegh went down for the stupidity of religous iranian. nobody was caring about his democrasy. nobody support him the time he needed it so much. If CIA hadnt intervened, mullahs would've take him down anyway.

  • The people elected Mosaddegh not the Sha ..more the Sha was not a religious figure but rather a brutal secularist dictator fully supported by the US and other western powers . A puppet .

The US doesnt have a right to do what it did in Iran , nor take control of the resources of other countries . The religious revolution of 1979 was a direct result of 25 years of the Sha .

  • I didn't say shah elected mosaddesgh, neither did I say Shah was religous. But he was always hand in hand with mullahs, may be just because he need their help tu suppress communism. Anyway Shah and Kashani were making problems for Mosaddegh from the first day to the last. Remember that Kashani's son was the second person to CONGRATULATE overthrown of Mosaddegh to the peolpe of Iran !!! (we forget the history very soon)

  • If he would have been "hand and hand" with the mullah and the people backed him , there would have been no Islamic revolution ."Anyways" ..Iran has a right to nationalize it's national resources , control it's own resources ..No other nation , USA included , has the right to do what it did . It was criminal . The US did the same thing in Iraq , but in an even more brutal fashion ..essentially resorting to genocide , in the 1990s , for it's own perceived vested interests .

  • from wikipedia

By withholding his support, Kashani played a crucial role in the success of the 1953 Iranian coup d'état that overthrew Mossedeq. [3] [7][8] [9] Following his break with Mossedeq, he gave support to his former adversary, Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi. [8]. and even declared that Mosaddeq deserved to be executed because he had committed the ultimate offense: rebelling against the shah, `betraying` the country, and repeatedly violating the sacred law."

  • Cold War politics...

  • The UK ordered the thing in the first place, and it was the US that ended up reaping the dirty benefits, and the UK got jack-shit. Hahahahahaha... Too funny.

There's no honor among thieves. What a dirty bit of business this all was... The Iranians elect Mossadeq, and he gets taken down on the mere WORRY that he might ally with the Soviets.

How disrespectful, to not even give the man the chance to prove otherwise.

  • @TheLogicJunkie mate all wars are created by the rich for their profits fought n paid for by the poor with their blood n tax money the reason ALL govenrments lie to us all i just have no faith in politics or politicians at all, now if anyone can get T Jefferson Back i'll Vote for him

  • The key was the generals in the army.....

    watch what happens in Pakistan.....

something wonderful is planned according to some sources....also something external is in the works....

  • webster tarpley is talking about that huh ? Brake the country up in three parts, just like kosovo. In that way pakistan will not become a powerfull ally of china.

  • Google "Operation Ajax" son, you might actually learn something.

Then compare "Operation Northwoods" to a not so long ago 'event'.

  • Mossadegh was not a democrat.

He wanted 6 months of dictatorial power from the majles and he wanted to close down the majles.

  • It is useless to turn the clock back. At any rate, we are not able to do that. That is why we must accept that such events are not gonne go away with out any consequances of its kind. The world goes forward with a very high calculated manners. Another words you harvest what you cultivate. Or the nations get what they diserve. In my view the Nation of IRAN had diserved the MOSSADEGH national GOVERNMENT, but someone ripped them off!!All one can say, is to be a good LOSER in oder to be able to ...

  • Docs leaked in the NY Times confirm this had nothing to do with the claim that Irans oil would go to the commies. Mossadeq was a nationalist who wanted Iranian oil revenues for Iran

England didnt like that so they involved the CIA and cut a deal giving up some of Irans oil to US companies.

This was a money grab & the communist bogey man was trotted out to mask the evil perpetrated here. And now we have the mullahs instead of a moderate democratically elected government Syriana prequel?

  • I believe you...but do you have a source for the leaked docs? I want to be able to use this in debates.

  • Although Soviet threat may have been hyped it cannot be disregarded completely. The US could not afford a soviet take over in Iran during the hieght of the Cold War. And the Shah was viewed as the strongest man to prevent this. Also, remember, for more than two years before the coup the US pushed for an agreement between Brits and Mosaddeq on oil dispute. US majors were not interested, in fact the Gov't pushed them to participate in consortium.

  • Super excellent compilation on that vid; I'm down for the cause to stand up and out against the bullsh!t Federal Reserve Act plus I'll stand up against the IRS stealing from my neighbors and myself. Thats why...

... I just heard word about a national rally for the Abolition of both the Federal Reserve System and the IRS dated for April 15th, 2008 (Federal Income Tax due date). The march is building across the country and the people are ready. (how I heard - watch?v=GCJRug9wrns)

  • I really dislike the logic of the voice over at the end which claims that the british did not benefit cause they only kept 40% of the oil over the monopoly they had. However Mossadeq was nationalizing the oil and kicking BP's serfdom economics out of Iran so keeping 40% is much better then 0%.

  • The United States always thinking of short term gains all around the World, ended up messing up the natural order of things everywhere! Operation Condor in South America is a great example of that!

  • Wrong. The gains are very long term. It was (and still is) about securing US access to oil because our economy would crumble without it. If the USSR had beat the west to Iranian oil, they would've had the US and UK by the balls. Both were becoming oil dependent. The backlash of these policies, of course, is a problem they did not foresee.

  • Yes, Mossadeq would have been a great socialist leader for Iran and Iran could have organically built a democratic system over generations. BUT, it didn't happen. The clerical power was underestimated and the power of the conservative masses was very deeply underestimated. Too bad. Now, a mullahcracy exists in the world.

  • Mossadek ws better than the shah and wouldve kept order from the ayatolla and their terrorists

  • Any body who believes this crap is nothing more than an ignarant person. SHAH was SHAH, before, during and after mossadegh. mossadegh was only good to hide himself under ahis blanket at home. He was NAKHOSTVAZIR_E LAHAAF va PATOO.

  • Ignorant to believe it? When the CIA admits to something of this magnitude, how is it ignorant to believe it? I would say to not believe it is to be in denial of reality.

  • Do you really think CIA does some thing and comes out telli9ng the whole world about it? ....or does it sound like cia needed to be credited for some thing?

  • There are documents from the National Archive that prove this happened. Further, the Shah's government was a perfect puppet government to our government for the entire reign of the Shah. Also, where did the Shah flee to after he was kicked out? Like I said, if this is not enough to convince you, then you are in denial of reality.

  • Ncollins is a first class ignorant imposter. What documents? CIA release documents !!! or did you brits made it up? What are you talking about? Talk about your OWN country and not mine.

  • Do a Google search for "CIA wilber iran". Wilber was the CIA agent that wrote the report. Read this, then tell me again who is ignorant of history.

  • Don't give me that Google search. Even CIA admitts that they had NOTHING to do with this. But to order to get FUNDS from GOVERNMENT of USA and continue working they FAKED their own reports. Google that!!!

  • This funny. First you deny that there were documents. Then I point you to the documents. Now you're telling me that the documents that you didn't think existed were faked by the CIA. This is called resistance to reality. Sorry the truth is so tough for you.

  • No,that's not funny. Funny is that people like you should go and take care of their own little sad pathetic island of thives and murderers and live us alone. Did you get lord full of S***.............

  • Now you're not making any sense. You must have got your feelings hurt when you realized you were wrong. Face reality: The CIA played a large role in the 1953 effort in keeping power firmly in the Shah's hands.

  • I suggest reading the book entitled "All the Shah's Men," by Stephen Kinzer.

  • Yes he was Shah - but had less power than the british queen.

  • Shah would have kept his popularity had he not screwed mossadegh...perhaps khomeini would have never come to power had mossadegh stayed as prime minister. people never forgave (even to this day) the West and shah for what they did in 28th mordad...so shah, my friend, enjoy burning in hell cuz its gonna be along long time.

  • u do the best of our history film video thnx foe your job ! majidreza

  • I would like to thank ncollins3 for taping and sharing this clip with us.

Mossadegh was Dream of the Iranians which was murdered by the CIA. Formation of a True democracy in Iran got killed by CIA at the embryonic stage in 1953.

May God bless Dr. Mossadegh and may his ideology carrys on.

  • What is this video from? Which country's TV news ? What is IRTV ?

  • I think it stands for Iranian TV. Perhaps it's broadcast out of Los Angeles. I taped it off of cable TV in Oakland, CA.

  • Everybody needs to find out about this, again. Before it happens again. Ron Paul 2008!, don't be afraid America can take care of its self and everybody else will love us for it.

  • us government over trow the shah in 1979 and replaced It with a government that would not allow Communism to spread to Iran and that's how we end up with this so called Islamic government. all for US national interest .remember that 30 years ago Islam was not a major treat to US, the boogyman was Communism.

  • if the united states had left mossadegh alone in the 1950s, iran would probably still be america's biggest ally in the middle east. great job eishenhower, you've destroyed american foreign policy.

  • Love you Mossadegh! I don't want that USA, Israeal, England etc. invade Iran because of its vast reserves of Oil or another reasons. People of Iran should do something for their Freedom, Women Rights, Children Rights, rescue the environment and do something against Pollution etc. I'm fed up with countries like France, German, Italy, Russia, who are working with islam Mullas in Iran and exploit my country!

  • Long live the shah? Pahalavi Dynasty? bezaar dame koozeh abesho bokhor. Antar!

  • ignorance is bliss.

  • The ignorance of the American people regarding this spectacular. The Zionist stranglehold on the American mind is fascinating!-Signed an American(with a Canadian flag on his luggage)

  • British/american Inc. staged a military coup. in 1979

and brought some serial killers into power and called it ISLAMIC REVOLUTION!!!!

Good Old U.S. is the creator of Khomeiny and bin ladin..

    attention beer loving! LOW IQ-Americans!

  • You left out the French.Seria killer is a very polite description for these animals.

  • And to think that some people actually still think that the US is going to help Iran. They created this and then they wonder why Iran is how it is today. Never trust the US. Work together as Iranians, this is the only way we will ever triumph.

  • TRUE>>>>Thank you
