This crash is a blessing in disguise. The greatest danger to the world is our blind worship of free markets. The commercialization and competition they foster are suffocating the planet and the human spirit. The human race is One. Why don't we share the world's resources more equally. I've heard it put like this, 'There can be no peace without justice and no justice without sharing.' The poor are just as human as the rich after all.
I grew up in China and you haven't the faintest idea what socialism is.
It is thanks for the free market and economic reform under Deng Xiao Peng that we got out of the Mao catastrophe. We had millions of people die of famine under Mao's Great Leap Forward. Governments and simple-minded idealists are clueless about basic economics. Communism was a failed experiment and the same would happen to socialism. Even Vietnam opened their stock exchange a few years ago.
I agree communism has failed but it is equally true that pure capitalism is also failing. Look at the catastrophically destructive inequalities and environmental depradations that laissez-faire capitalism has caused. This is not a success story; in fact it is pushing us towards a precipice.
What I have been persuaded of is a system comprising a blend of the two; 70% socialism 30% capitalism.
It is destructive to surrender to any ism, ideological and religious fundamentalism included.
Yep, it sucks how we taxpayers have to pay for big company fuck ups and give away millions in severance packages to CEOs. Whenever a small business falls you never hear of the feds helping them.
it's the illumaniti. its planned. satan is running the planet. you will see. concentration camps in usa, soon economic collapse. unify of america, canada, mexico. now new world order later on. one world government.
Agreed about looking drunk. I thought the same thing.
I heard somebody say once that listening to GB talk induces the same kind of uneasiness you get when watching a drunk man try to get across a busy ice covered street.
Either he's a complete idiot or just plays one on TV.
Well, I don't like what Bush has done. BUT! Wait just one minute! Can't blame Bush for this mess.
In his defense Bush back in 2001 tried to put some regulations on Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae to prevent all of this.
Guess who blocked him every step of the way? Just one guess? That's right the house Democrats blocked the regulations!!!! SO THEY get the credit for this mess not Bush. Bush actually tried to prevent this and couldn't. Sorry partisans that's a fact.
LOL, what a line of bull shit. The banks that lend to these businesses aren't going to stop lending money to their most profitable customers or they go under. This whole thing is a scheme to devalue the dollar so it is less then the looney and the peso so the NAU( North American Union) and the Amero will sound like a good idea.
Economic Collapse = the greatest disguise of all to us.

How is this bill providing money so the banks can give loans?
I thought the big bankers were just unloading their defaulted mortgages on the US taxpayers and keeping all the assets.
In Europe the government took over the entire banks, good and bad debt.
