to make my icons i draw them in paint (i'm a good drawer) then edit it gimp. use the lasso tool around it. right click and slect invert. then select clear AFTER i added and aplha channel layer.

Find the icon you want to change, Preferences>Change Icon>Browse and select the one you want, then hit okay. But you have to save it as a .ico file I think...

Instead of dragging a new path over the path you want to connect to, all you have to do is hold ctrl and click on it. The paths will automatically link.
