Their relationship is doomed from the start. Can you imagine Mad Dog Lane as a wife of "playboy Bruce Wayne"? This means give up being a reporter for her, and becoming a mistress of a manor, attending charity balls instead of chasing hot stories for the articles. Lois can't stop being the investigative reporter, it's like asing Bruce to stop being Batman.
