Am i the only one that saw these omnious mountains when i entererd zangarmarsh and when i finally became the required level and went in through that tunnel and saw the chasm and all those spikes WITH this music in the background could only say one word?
One of my favorite places for questing in Outlands. I'll probally take flight in my Turbo-Charged Flying Machine when I return to the changed world of World of Warcraft and perhaps revisit this hot spot. Can't believe I quit WoW for almost a year. Great Track!!
I hadn't quested here always going to nagrand instead but I gave it a shot on my second DK and it's a really good zone it's a shame you level so fast through outland and northrend now .
Guys I was killing the eggs for the quest in this place once and this dragon pops out and sais something about taking over th world, ive googled it and no1 has an answer, please can someone explain to me what happened?
I don't normally give Blade's Edge the love it deserves. It's a wonderful zone with amazing music that fits it so well. The rock formations are stunning (although frightening to someone who hates pointy objects >< ). Really amazing to fly over on my Nether Drake.
@DreamingRecluse Great music, SCARY LANDSCAPE. I got the willies every time I flew over it, especially that bit at the edge between it and Netherstorm and the Dragons' End area. >.>
When I first came to Blade's Edge Mountains, I said by myself "I could stay here for years!". It just lookes soo awesome with those Sharp Rocks all coming out of the mountains.
It's like a maze. There couldve been quite a fe wthere when you were. you just couldnt see them. When I lvled there, Id run into alot of other player when I went to the camps every now and then. But then theyd all be gone.
I must say, immersion into the lore and world of Azeroth was what Blizzard accomplished first thing. It's incredible that all of this...the atmosphere of the zones and the music really make me feel like I am really there. God WoW is amazing...Warcraft for life!
@thedonoftrek playing Wow taught me what "addiction to magic" (prince Kaelthas) means. I quit playing this game for good, I actually never played more than 2-3 months per year during a period of 3 years. But now Im constantly looking for something that could possible bring this magic back, knowing of course that there isnt anything, not even WoW itself. But I always keep a USB-stick with WoW music in my car and its what I listen to the most. Brings back instant magic, even to real life.
@thedonoftrek True, it was immersive in Pre BC and TBC, but it feels so soul-less now, it just feels like your playing a game and not like your in another world. It's all about gear now, not about exploring the world and enjoying it.
@angelofdarkness49 That's why I stopped playing, and it really pains me to say so. :( I hope they continue on the series through more RTS games...it'd be a shame for Blizzard to just keep pumping out expansion after expansion, killing the franchise ever so slowly.
@thedonoftrek I agree, i also unsubbed only a couple of months into cataclysm, there is no hope in going back to it unfortunately :( The only thing that would bring me back if they brought out an appearance tab, because the new art department has not a clue how to individualise classes anymore, everyone looks the same! If you look at tiers 1-6 comparing them to new ones, you'll know what i mean.
I know right? The Burning Crusade and Diablo 2 had the same composer, but I found it to be a real treat when I heard the guitar being pulled out for this place, brings me all the way back to Tristram. First played Diablo when I was 6, and the music there was so memorable, I still remember it even today :D
Ah yes the much maligned BEM, my favorite zone in outland!

This song always reminded me of diablo for some reason. The part at 7:17 specifically
oaknairb 1 year ago
@oaknairb The reason is that it's the same composer. He also did Aunchidoun or how do you spell it.

I found blades edge mountain kind of a lonely place, there never seemed to be anyone there when I leveled through

To me it sounds at some points like military music, like before battle.
