Holy crap, this is good. Never heard about this guy until a fellow guitar picker played a couple of his tunes at a party last night.

I think it's the arrangement with the cello and the soft vocals that suggests Nick Drake.

Damien is pretty good, he sometimes recalls early Neil Young more than Nick Drake.

@91Degas...dig. Nick Drake=God with the fingers as far as folksters go. Doc, my man could take him. But this guy? Not "channeling" Nick Drake. If he were, we'd hear more sound emulating from his guitar.

the description of this video says Jurado "channels Nick Drake"...isn't that comparison getting a little old and stale? Jurado is so much more than that (not saying anything bad about Nick Drake)...he has his own creative genius, and he is constantly evolving and putting out great music.
