I hear everybody saying the DD Hammock is completely waterproof, well when I ordered it they wrote back on ebay and said it is not completely water proof and that is why they sell the tarp to go over the top. So I would advice you to buy a tarp just in case.
@Disbeat123 He is usually with me yes. I just bring dog food of course. Haven´t been out for week-long trips with him, so the weight really isn´t a problem. If I would though, I would probably have him carry his own. He is way too close to me and the girl to run off and he stays within 40-50 meters from us at all times.
Nice clear vid. Could you tell me if you get any bad condensation inside the Travel hammock? I am thinking of buying one but not sure to go with the Frontline or the Travel. I also live in Sweden. Thanks.
@scratchliquid Tjenare! No I haven´t noticed any condensation what so ever so far. In my humble opinion, you can´t go wrong with the travel. One should not forget the awsomeness in using the travel-version on the ground as a simple tent. I have done this before, sleeping two people inside it without any problems. On the other hand, the other person was my fiancee, so snugging up was no serious problem. I use a synthetic sleeping bag for that same reason - moisture. Rather be wet and warm.
@BoIwar Hej på dig du. No problems with it so far, although, since I use it inside a hammock, sticks and stones punching holes in it is not really an issue. Not sure how it would hold up used on the ground. German shepherd.
Yo guys... haven´t been on for a long time. Thanks for all your comments. The thermarest is probably a better match with the hammock, but it would get a little too cold here in Sweden except for mid summertime. New tarp, yes. I can never figure out how to fold my map in half in the same spot twice, let alone a whole tarp. The dog is getting old and finds it much more appealing staying in one spot nowadays...
i like to camp with my dog too. i thought that with a hammock your dog has no shelter to sleep in. where does yours sleep?
