so very fascinating - i had known that he stacked canvasses together, and assumed that they were still damp when he did so, so i've always wondered if paint from one would transfer to another, and if so, what did he do about that (if anything)? being able to determine exactly which paintings were stacked together is an amazing bit of sleuthing!
