what i did is i took a skate board truck cut 2 holes in a pice of wood were the berrings fit in then i attached that to the skate board truck then i glued a rocket engin to it then i lit the steal wool and lit the rocket engin and it was cooler

That is incredibly unsafe. As the steel wool burns it turns molten. Your design doesn't do anything to catch the slag, which will fling off and catch fire to the things they land on. There shouldn't be ANYTHING within 25-30 feet around you, even if you are doing it with "proper" equipment. That close to your garage could light it on fire if slag flies on to the roof.

This is good, but I have a different way. Take some gasoline and throw it on the steel wool and simply light it with a lighter.

Just a suggestion. Drop the coathanger, replace it with a chain. Add a weight to the end of the chain, for example, a lead fishing weight. Make sure you fasten that tightly or it'll fly off and break something.

Also, wear safety goggles, gloves and, if possible a mask of some sort over your face. The hood was a good idea, keeping hair back. Otherwise this would go horribly wrong.
