Lost 7 teeth, came back out 5 minutes later, and went on to win the Stanley Cup and Norris Trophy. Duncs is the consummate badass.

Though I will say that I will forever cherish the image of him hoisting the Cup, with his unkempt hair, scraggly beard, and toothless grin. It looked like the Hawks picked up a homeless guy on the bus from Chicago to Philly and put him in skates.

Someone said only a candian would say its just teeth, but to honest thats a Hockey player. If Lebron or Kobe, hell if anyone is the NBA or NFL lost even one tooth they be out for two weeks minimum. Hockey players lose a mouth of teeth and dont miss a shift.

@kambelzful Hockey pads are a lot different than say football pads. They're mostly to make skates, sticks, and pucks less life-threatening. Football pads are designed to distribute force and reduce the impact of hits.

Then take into consideration hockey players are flying around at 20-30 mph smashing each other into boards and ice, and the fact Lebron will cry if his headband gets knocked off...I think it's safe to say basketball players aren't even a fraction as tough as hockey players.
