I am a recovered fibromyalgic who left the care of the medical profession to discover the cause and cure for this horrific disease after 15 years of failed treatments. I understand this illness completely from the inside and back out again. Symptoms are often mistaken as a cause and what can help does not cure. Please, do not give up and keep going. See my You Tube video "Curing Chronic Fibromyalgia - Choosing What Works" and my best wishes to you all!!!

This lady really does have a personality, that's a good thing. I just think it is stupid, yet cool and a good idea how people have their own personal channels and even though they are strange nobodies, it is still a good way to reach out. Me on the other hand, do not care. LOL
Thank you. You are very kind. I sometimes wonder why people enjoy hearing me talk, as well. But, five years ago, I was very sick with fibromyalgia, and now I'm not. I lead a very active, healthy, full, rich life. Dr. St. Amand says that all of us who get well have a debt to those who are still sick to help them get well. I thought about this, and thought about the people online who encouraged me when I was feeling my worst. So, I decided it was payback time. :)
Happy, Happy Birthday! You're so right about the 39 year mark, although I've never used it. I'm glad to hear you enjoy your birthday. You amaze me with with the things you do. Get getting well.
Thanks so much! Although, I must admit it, I overdid it this weekend. Sometimes I'm feeling so much better that I push my body too far. My body pushes back and says: "Hey, idiot. You can't change the reality that you do still have fibromyalgia." I was a hurting the past three days. I'm fine again today. I went to bed early, got extra sleep, drank lots of water, and ate super healthy. So, my body has now forgiven me, and I feel better again. Its easy to overdo it when you feel better.:)-D.
I'm feeling great. Thanks for the good wishes. My girlfriends took me out on Saturday night in San Francisco for the
"KFOG- KA-BOOM." It's a big fireworks show coordinated to music. One of my girlfriends' friends has a boat, docked on the bay. It was foggy, we froze our butts off, (it was San Fran, after all), and had an awesome time. So foggy you could only see the bottom of the fireworks. "Ooooh, red fog." (BOOM!) "Oooh! Sparkly white and yellow fog!" (BOOM!) We really did have fun. :)
Thanks Urnotalone! I love your username! I'm glad I bring you a smile. I've always been something of the clown in the family. I guess that is common with "last borns." I am the youngest of four. But, then again, my oldest brother Mike, has the same wacky sense of humor as me, so I guess that dispels the "Birth Order Book" a bit. (I liked the book anyway.) Mike and I are still both the ones to goof off at the dinner table, even now, as adults, when we should know better. :)
Happy Birthday! I got my dog Lilly a year ago on May 6th. Wisconsin had it's first 75 degree day on may 6th. We spent it outside doing some lawn and garden stuff. It was a great day. Glad you did your favorite thing!
Hi McGee! Yes, the board can be fixed. You have to use something called a "ding" repair kit. Hits to your board like that are officially called "dings" in surfer lingo. You apply a fiberglass patch with some very stinky glue. It has to be done outdoors so you don't pass out from the stuff. You can keep repairing a board until it literally splits into two. Eventually, my board will crack, as it has taken some heavy blows, but so far it has held together. :) - D.
Thanks, McGee! It was a good weekend. We didn't actually run the 10K, although I wish I could say I did. We walked it. I haven't done any serious amount of running since high school. I think it must be a fibro thing but when I run, my head hurts. weird, huh? Anyway, these Cystic Fibrosis 10Ks are actually walks. Still, 6+ miles is still a pretty decent walk. I was pulling my son in a wagon so my back, arm and shoulders hurt more than my legs. I may have overdone a wee bit...
I guess that's the danger when you start feeling better. It's easy to overdo it. I must admit I was a hurting pup on Monday. My son ran around so much before the walk started that he was too tired to walk the thing, and wanted to be pulled the whole time in a wagon. The trail was not paved, so it was a good workout pulling that wagon over gravel, sand, dirt and uneven grass. But, I'd do it again in a heartbeat. We care very much about two girls with Cystic Fibrosis who go to our church.-D.
