XS Lever Scout Mount. It's made for intermediate eye relief (scout-type) scopes.

For a girl with her frame, that rifle has too long of a length of pull. She's hyper extending her left arm in order to reach the front stock.

Beautiful rifle though and she handled it well despite the sizing problems.

The hottie shooting this Marlin is without a doubt no fucking slouch...... 405 grainers @ 1800fps are STRONG MEDICINE... Lotta dudes would have touched off one round and handed it back.. which is what i was expecting after the first round shoved her back a foot... Nope. . she comes back for another.. and another... and another... If your dating her and she'll have you.. marry her asap or you may regret if for the rest of your life.....

a moose killed with a .45-70 from 1/4 mile away is the unluckiest moose to ever walk the earth. the bullet drop is so much, the shooter would have to aim at the moon

@berhorst59 1 mile is 1760 yards, 1/4 mile is 440 yards, with a 325 grain Hornady leverevolution rnd the following ballistics apply for a 24' barrel. >>> (45-70, 325 grain - +3" @ 100 yds, -4.1" @ 200 yds, -27.8" @ 300 yds.) So yes its a lot of drop but not even close to impossible. 300 yrds tends to be the upper limit of normal skill with this kind of weapon.

hey what type of bullet load are you using? these seem to be kicking a bit hard for standard 325 grain Hornady rounds

They're Remington 405gr JSP bullets at 1850 fps.

I felt like the Hornady Leverevolution 325g had little difference in recoil but they ARE definatley superior in accuracy. At least that's my opinion.

Yupper...that is a genuine Marlin 45-70. Hell of a gun. I was lusting after one at Gander mountain and the employee came and asked for it because another had just decided to buy it. RATS! Foolish me. I took too long to make up my mind. It was used, in mint condition and almost half price of a new one.

That will gun will smack a bear, moose, or bull elk to the ground with one hit.

A 45-70 26 inch barrel can kill a moose from 1/4 mile away.

It's not a shotgun it's a big bore rifle commonly used for game such as moose, bear, and other large game, but it also can be used for deer and hogs. Scopes are also found on slug guns which fire projectiles ment for big game like deer, ect.

It's a rifle (a Marlin 1895 .45-70 Guide Gun, to be exact), not a shotgun. Furthermore, scopes are quite common on shotguns designed for big game hunting. HAWKstriker (lol), you might want to hold your comments as they only advertise your ignorance to others. Also, you really should pay more attention in grammar class.
