  • As an owner of one of these cars, I abslolutely love it. I have the 6 spd and 2.5 4 cyl and it gets 34 on the highway, drives through 12 inches of snow like its nothing, and a Montana morning at 20 degrees below zero doesnt even phase it.

  • this person is a true fuck head

  • A 10 year old could do a better review then this dude! He should be FIRED!

  • This guy is a douche..

  • Cars.com should use a standard format when evaluating cars. Where did we hear about the mechanicals? Boxer engine, symmetrical all wheel drive, cvt automatic transmission that is more efficient than the manual, superior crash test ratings, lower center of gravity, etc. Least substance in a review I've ever seen. I hope he volunteers his time, otherwise Cars.com is getting ripped off.

  • If you need it capabilities? Really, you don't need all wheel drive until you NEED all wheel drive. Driving down the road and hit a puddle, black ice, or oil then you'll wish you had all wheel drive as you go skidding into on coming traffic with your kids in the car!!!

  • Great value. You get standard AWD , impressive reliability, and the best crash test scores, yet it costs either the same, or even less than the competition!

  • thigh supports on long trips??? how about knee support u cock sucker! go team subaru!

  • incorrect review strategy. if your considering this car it is because subaru and jeep are the only people that will let you bundle a cool looking car with awd and standard trans. people who consider this car probably dont want a more family sedan like accord or Camry.

  • this GUY AND THIGH SUPPORT!!!!!

  • @ironbackalien yah you'd think he's reviewing a sofa or something haha what a dumbass

  • this GUY AND THIGH SUPPORT!!!!!

  • im rewatching this again. this shit is outrageous someone should kick him in the balls for his leg support

  • Wow, I'm so glad I watched this biased ass review 10 hours AFTER I bought my Legacy. This guy should be reviewing either video games, pc games, computers, or smart phones lol. I'm VERY VERY VERY content with my purchase.

  • kelsey mays tells the truth. honesty is respectable. he is not comparing the dependability of cars, just the initial quality.

  • This Kelsey guy is the worst reviewer of all youtube and everybody knows it.

  • I don't know why so many people are upset with somewhat negative review about legacy. I'm pretty sure most of you guys haven't tried both camry and legacy because the difference is huge. your opinions lack the evidence. I have tried them both. I assure you camry has superior handling, it's smoother and delivers outstanding overall driving experience compared to legacy. I didn't find anything remarkable about legacy worth to write about.

  • Continued: There's a reason Subarus have higher used resale value than many other manufacturers. They don't *NEED* that long warranty to last well into 150k+ miles with minimal repairs.

Everyone has their opinions, and they're entitled to that. However, I'll stick with Subaru for AWD & overall dependability.

  • The problem with a lot of cars today is that most people compare the bread & butter features (push button start, auto darkening mirrors, etc) of cars to make their decision.. features that just add to the amount of things that can go wrong.

What they're missing is the fact that Subarus have long term reliability. The "reliability" in some other manufacturers (hyundai, honda) comes in the form of long warranties, so when it does break, you can get it fixed for free.

  • Im sorry but this man is a douche!!!!! I have owned many cars and the subaru legacy is the best car i ever had.

  • LOL I traded in my Lexus GS for the 2011 Legacy 3.6R, my subaru is the best car Ive ever owned. Glad I made up my own mind :)

  • Compare this to a 2008 Honda Accord, you'll find this to have better gas milage, better option packages, and AWD. Great value. You could get one of these w/ heated cloth seats, heated mirrors, and windshield wiper de-icer for around $24,000.

  • This guy is an outstanding reviewer. I don't understand the idiots that come on here and criticize every reviewer, get off your butts and get a life.

  • I think Kelsey Mays is a good reviewer. It seems that these negative comments from wievers are completely biased! Is he not American looking enough? Not that Americans know anything about cars.

  • This car has a great look, but I can't help but ask why the wheels on a subaru always look so tiny compared to the rest of the car?

  • get a suzuki kizashi awd they have 180 hp and with discounts can be had at about 20,500. also you can push a button for awd or 2wd

  • Thigh support :D That is something I don't think about when buying a car.

  • @Carsdotcom: can u please replace this reviewer?!? Give him a cushy desk job with a seat that has plenty of thigh support! He stinks at reviewing cars! Wayyyyyy tooo biased going into his review. If he doesnt like the car hell tell the viewers the competition is better. Ironically hell do the same thing with the competition.

  • he looks 16

  • wtf? ill take a Legacy over a Camry any day

  • Every review i've seen with this guy is terrible. He really enjoys pointing out the negative on each car and stays focused on them the whole review. Not to mention how boring he can be. I think he should stick to a desk job!

  • He´s not knowing about his job, he has a low performance.

  • i really want to buy this car

  • I'm gonna disagree with Kelsey on this one.

  • iF YOU Can mAKE a better review-post it!

  • Fuck this guy... he clearly is a white-bread when it comes to cars. A Camry is sooooo bland and plain compared to a Subaru. I, as a matter of fact own a 2010 Subaru Legacy in the sleek black. It's great in all aspects...

    I LOVE MY SUBARU!!!

  • They should another presenter for this particular type of car, it should be some outdoorish dude

  • With Subaru associated with Gay and Lesbians, I wouldn't be caught dead in one. I predict their downfall very soon, due to their supporting perverted behavior.

  • I bet his boyfriend gives him a little more thigh support!

  • he got no brain at all!he know shit about subaru

  • d....u...m........b reviewer.

  • i love subaru ,legacy is way better then camary and accord, thats for sure!

  • Kelsey Mays... a little more thigh support? You move around in the corners since the car is designed to handle it, but apparently... you are not.

  • All he talks about it the AWD. this guy is not a good reviewer.

  • This guy just hates Subaru. i traded in my fusion for this car and i have no regret. Its simply revolutionary.

  • ustedes yankes tienen q aprender a comprar autos! compren autos japonenses y no las porquerias q fabrican ustedes...motores 6 u 8 cilindros q te consume muchisimo...inmensos

  • legacy is a good car, but i just dont like the way they designed the interior, i went for the S4

  • cant stand this guys reviews.

  • hey kelsey u suckkkkkk

  • Looks like a G37

  • Bla bla , i don t like this subaru in other words.

And who the f... care about what you think, subaru sales are up,there most be a reason for that, don t you think kiddo.

  • WTF do you know about cars? What are you like 18? So you have 2 years seat time behind the wheel of a car and think you know everything about them? If you are biased about a certain brand, get someone who will objectively review it.

  • what a toser, you don't deserve to review anything, a salesman would do better...stick shift requires you to wind out each gear? WTF? What if you don't redline it, you're not allowed to change gear? Some other cars in this segment? Why don't you name them dickwad, don't you know them? Go back to your mom's house.

  • this is the worst review.....he barely talks about anything and seems very biased about other cars

  • yea this guy is a mega-doushebag. Legacy will smoke a Camry on any course

  • why prefer legacy over a camry or accord? I'm thinking safety, and the legacy definitely wins in that regard.

  • @cate502 The legacy beats the camry and accord in safety by a long shot and has very comparable mpg (23/31, as compared to the Accord's 22/31 and the Camrys 22/33). Personally, I also prefer the styling of the Legacy as well, besides the fact that it's price is very comparable (my mom took home her automatic Legacy with the harmin-kardon audio system, heated seats, cargo tray and rearview mirror for 22.5k last night in white and it's great looking).

  • @Windgrace yeah subaru is awesome jst don't talk shit on honda awd all the time cars are horrible on everything gas brakes they jst wear everything out quickly not an opinion a fact

  • This guy is a d-bag. Why'd he bother reviewing it twice and just talking about the same thing? He drives it but barely talks about how it drives.

  • This guy has a weird obsession with thigh support haha. Extremely annoying. This car looks promising and I'm looking to upgrade from my '02 Impala.

  • omg how they can fucked up so cool car. now its look like some fuckin chevrolet !!! blahh

last 2008 is realy good looking

  • wtf? fuck you kelsey mays u dont know shit u would rather prefer a camry over a Subaru? reallllly?

  • I fucking hate this faggot also!

Hope his gay ass gets fired from this job so we never have to see his face nor hear his annoying voice ever again.

  • @junstar81 you're a retard

  • @Panasonicboy, is there a gud reason why you're defending this fag?!

Is he your boyfriend or something?

Does he toss your salad every night?

Think of something better to say next time you're defending your man, faggot!

  • @junstar81 you'd better watch your mouth or I'm going to have to tell your parents that you are up past your bedtime

  • Its because he can't afford it. Subaru dealers don't really compete for customers. You can either buy it or you can't. Many people can't afford them, so they go Toyota, Honda or Ford, because financing is better, not cars.

  • @nova123 I agree ... sounded a tad bit biased... no disrespect to toyota though

  • subarus are good but their JATCO trannies are problematic I mean shifting throu the gears, constant jerks, kicks and up rev-s and CVT trannies are also problem trannis from JATCO, WHY? because FHI orders cheap trannies from JATCO, this really shows how FHI cares about it's customers, have a look in google

  • Dude, what are you talking about? Just because you bought a used Subaru for $3k that somebody trashed, doesn't mean all of them have bad transmissions. Go test drive an Accord. Talk about jerky ride.

  • U rubbish frog, how do u know what i have? I bought it new from dealer and it is really disappointing when u have a subaru legacy new and fuking tranny makes me angry driver, a made a search in a google and it's not me alone,

  • @83ls I totally agree. I just got a 2010 Accord auto trans and it's very jerky especially in the lower gears. My econo 01 Civic had seamless shifting but what's up with the tranny on this Accord?? I can achieve smoother shifting with a stick-shift.

  • i think this is a really good car but, i kinda think that the previous generation of legacy was better-looking...

  • A [different] kind of test drive drivelikenoother[dot]com

  • Why would you get a stick on a normally aspirated sedan? Driving enthusiasts would get this 170hp car over the competition cz they know their shit : Awd +boxer. Rest who wants something a little less "racer boy" than imprza with the oumph would get the GT - thats known. Now stop demeaning the Legacy Mr. Mays! - a car with history of rallying and record breaking

  • Does this guy ever like any car? It seems he's always complaining about the most stupid things. He made it clear before he even started driving that he preferred the Accord and Camry. Anyone that prefers a Camry (which is a nice car) is obviously not a driving enthusiast. I never seem to enjoy any of his reviews no matter which car he's reviewing. I think with him, the glass is always half empty.

  • This guy sorta looks like a girl.

  • Agree! Why girl is reviewing a mans car? Toyota RAV4 that what it shoulb be reviewing.

  • hey what an asshole how can he compare a subaru with a honda or a toyota??? fuck him subaru rocks

  • Should've had someone that liked this car do the review. Everything he says is like "the Legacy is a good car BUT.." This car deserves more credit than that!

  • i'm really starting to hate this guy.... he's always putting honda and toyota in front of subaru.... this legacy rocksssssssssss.... plus we never talks about the super handling on the legacy

  • I just test drove this car, and average mpg, cvt version showed 33-34mpg at 70mph on flat highway. Steady speed. Did anyone else get this, or was that a super efficient Subaru. My plan is to get this car in a couple of years.

I guess GOVT rating is when you climb a mountain in Colorado. They rated it at 31mpg.

  • The new Toyota sports car, code named FT86 which is a rear wheel drive car, has a Subaru boxer motor...Why you may ask? Because boxer engines are proven to be more efficient which leads to the longevity of the engine. Look at Porsche as an example...

  • This guy does not know anything about cars and how to review them properly. He needs to stay in a cubicle. Leave to car reviews to individuals that do the research.

  • i have 08 fusion and its sucks,,, i dont thing new one much better i used to have 04 forester and it was great car, so i think this new legacy is really good!

  • In response to the bad ECU @ 2000 miles, every car maker has its quirks. Although i find it hard to believe that an ECU would go at such low mileage. I have had my legacy for 10 years and traveled 280,000 miles in the thing. I had to replace a transmission mound because of a minor accident, but other than that it has all been routine maitenance. But my Grandfathers 2007 Toyota Camry wound up with a cracked head after about 10,000 miles. See what i mean about quirks?

  • does anyone have this car? if u do tell me about it

  • Comment removed

  • Let me start by saying that Subarus never caut my eye, but when I saw this new Legacy, I fell in love with them. But the price is too much.

  • stolen design lol

  • By what you pay, I mean in repairs over the life of the car. There is a reason why Volvo, BMW and Audi sell for less than Subaru, after 5 years of ownership. There are almost no repairs with Subarus. There are no problems with accessories, lights, broken power seats, car not starting, transmission quitting, ac not working, windows falling in the door, when raining, suspension breaking, etc, something you will find in VWs, Jeeps, Volvos, BMW and Audis, so called "well" engineered vehicles

  • I like this new Subaru. Kinda sceptical with the front headlamps but it donen't look too bad. I really dont know what the asian was smoking, but i would take a Legacy over anything today. I have a 1999 Legacy and i love it. Subaru's have always amazed me, and im not gonna listen to some crakhead-asian who tells me it sucks.

  • I don't mind the exterior rear styling, but those front headlamps looks very weird.

  • Comment removed

  • who is this gay chinese guy?

  • shut up you Canadian asshole

  • This faggot doesn't know what he's talking about. It's such a great car and is so much fun to drive, especially the GT version. He doesn't know a good car when he sees one. He probably can only afford a Kia. He's not crazy about this car because he can't appreciate it. I want to get one. This is a sweet car.

  • Why is this nerd the only person who has reviewed the '10 Legacy on Youtube? I want some diversity of opinion!

  • @greenblueprints He did another review on the Legacy and said... (This car is nice and all, but you would rather get a Honda Accord) If I ever met this guy, I would punch him right in the face so very hard.

  • the styling is growing on me. at first i thought it looked like a clown grinning at me

  • Yea, same here & it's not that bad

  • yeah i think it looks realy good

  • Looks alot like a HONDA ACCORD at certain angles

  • Interior space is larger than Camry's, which always had the largest midsize interior. Quality and resale of Subarus have always been better than Honda or Toyota, but not as good as say their luxury brands, Lexus and Acura. But you get great gas mileage, 4wd, plenty of power and safety, and the car is gonna be worth 50% of what you paid for it in 5 years. Compare that to 20% you get with GM, Ford and Kias. Honda and Toyota also have good resale, but cars are too boring.

  • yes you could go out and buy a fusion or a malibu, but here are a few reasons you should not. 1.) The Subaru has a much better resale value than either. 2.) After 100k you will not be replacing the engine or trans like you would with ford or chevy junk.

  • Hahahahaha....... whenever I want to turn anything beautiful into something ugly, I'd consult Subaru right away =D

It's not that ugly but the previous generation looks better. They should've kept the front and focused more on the back.

  • Gotta be AWD here in Canada.

  • Oooh a 4 cyl.

  • LOVE THIS CAR, LOVE THIS BRAND

  • they "facelifted" it from a sporty, classy sedan to what looks like a chrysler or korean family car. GJ subaru

  • the previous gen looked way better

  • i like it

  • First the new wrx then this. Subaru really know how to fuck up good cars!

  • i like the exterior design

  • looks shit.

  • actually it's 23/31 for the cvt trans which is pretty much what most models will have in it. And yes your moms ride is nice too, I was checking out the interior of it when I was nailing her in it last night!

  • im sorry what did YOu say?! Talk about my mom again..

  • it was hard to squeeze her in the back conisering she is the size of a kia!

  • well thats a very stupid comeback cos a kia is small. its your fatass predator that couldnt fit in the back, and plus, your mom bangs me hard every night in the back of my crown vic, plenty of space. WASSUP!

  • i fcking love this car

  • they butchered this car.

  • Comment removed

  • so will there be an STI version?

  • @2fast4all Probably not. When Toyota took over Subaru, one of the main goals was to make Subaru profitable as well as more main stream. Versions like the STi only appeal to boy-racers that end up destroying components on the car and then making warranty claims agaist the manufacturor, so that's a big money looser. Little by little they are going to tone down the entire product line in favor of greater reliability tp attract more responsible drivers.

  • well the sale are up because the company was relatively small to begin with. You can only get better with a small company like Subaru. But they do have top reliability (better than toyota) and they are known for there amazing AWD system.

  • Did you guys shoot this segment in Wicker Park? It looks like it.

  • Then back looks like a Civic and Accord fused together.

The front is just ugly, I'd take this over a Camry though... Camry's are terrible.

  • ..and that BACK. hello bmw.

  • Now that Ive seen the review, your right

Just put the turn signal and reverse light on top and bam, 3 series mock up.

  • this video sucks

    more wining than anything

if you want a great reliable car for the mud, snow, dirt and boxer engine

    then this is it

    subaru for me!

  • Great looks, needs a turbo V6 WRX version lol.

  • pshh...camry rules!

  • the front kinda reminds me of an Infiniti sedan....i don't like this one! it looks boring! it looks like sumtin my granny would buy......

  • The Legacy's exterior styling is really awkward. Why didn't Subaru play it safe and keep the theme of the Forester ?

the only thing it has going for it is AWD

  • Exactly, the new one (shown here) is more boring than the camry. The Forrester is the best lookin in their fleet. I used to like the legacy, especially the GT. Oh well ........ hoffmeister kink ftw

  • the forester looks like a kia hard to tell apart

  • perhaps, but it is one of the better looking subby's out there. The Impreza (ick). The Tribeca (ick) the new legacy (ick) note: the opinions above are simply regarding styling.

  • why not its a Subaru, they're the best!

  • yo this bitch lost weight

  • this guy sometimes doesnt make sense. he says stuff and doesn't follow through or complete his sentences.

  • looks alot like the new Accords

  • It looks too generic, the Fusion, Malibu and Accord look better IMO

  • You cant talk trash (Not saying your talking trash) untill you see it up close and in person, just like the impreza. I have and i have to say its really nice.. trust me. I do agree with you tho fusion looks alot better but the legacys interior is better. As for the others you said, i dont trust gm anymore and accord deff doesnt look better.

  • Maybe you're right, but from what I've seen in this video and others...it looks generic. And if you don't trust gm, why do you have a new Camaro?

  • Thats why i dont trust gm. I gave them a chance and bought the camaro and all it does is break on me... and its only 3 months old!!! -_-

My dads 04 forester has over 200,000 miles on it and its still runing like new, except last week whenever you take a right turn it makes a wierd sound. I think it might just be rust on the rotors or something. Other than that its perfect

  • My current and last car have both been GM, and are very reliable. My Blazer NEVER broke down and my current Buick Regal, same thing. So from MY experience, GM is a winner.

  • I guess its just the luck of the draw, or maybe because its a new model camaro. I not know but unfortunately for gm, they dont have a future sale out of me. Subaru for life!

  • GMSUBARU

  • TOYOTASUBARU

  • those cars are also so generic. the only cars in that class that stands out is the Altima and Camry.

  • LMAO@CAMRY STANDS OUT......2'S...

  • lol...huh? lol...another car that isn't generic is the 2010 mazda 6.

  • The Camry has got to be the most genaric car in the segment...which is why I didn't mention it. I had a 2009 Altima as a rental and it was a good car, but nothing special. The Fusion and Accord both have unique designs I think.

  • there is nothing generic about the boxer engine!

  • who said anything about the engine being generic. its the looks of the car and which i think isn't generic because the average person doesn't look at the lines and curves of the car and the car overall compare to the last gen. i actually like this one better than previous one. the front side fenders are much more aggressive.

you are right there is nothing generic about the boxer engine which perhaps could outperform all the engines in its class.

  • indeed

  • Comment removed

  • I think its a bit odd looking but thats just me haha

  • Accord is Awesome too!
