Just saying, the red bullets are a result of a heated barrel, it happens when you hold the fire button, when the bullets keep coming, the barrel gets hotter, thus heating the bullets as well, giving them a reddish glow. Crytek got their physics pretty spot on.

@Binxes11 nope, doesn't happen in real life. Red are tracers, used in the first, every third and the last3 rounds of a clip. Used for targetting and to alert the firer that the clip is nearly empty.

I've just started learning sandbox2, but i've read up on AI animations and behaviour for the game, and there is a specific way to turn it off, and get him to fight. Try looking at maxedgaming as thats a useful site with guides on it, and some video guides too, but basically it has everything complex you need on there, including jet animations which im trying to learn at the moment

and what they do is allow the soldier to see were his bullets are going to judge the next shot

No, soldiers with assault rifles do not have tracers in them. Only machine gunners and in a 1:5 ratio. Tracers burn up as they go and become lighter so the real rounds actually hit lower the further out the shot it and tracers also have a tendency to bounce so they don't have the stopping power of a ball round. They also dirty up the inside of the barrel.

yea, no way they load like that. Officers sometimes carry tracers to direct fire but as with most things infantry its all up to local SOP. You should learn how ammo is shipped and loaded into magazines and stop looking at what the manual says because that is retarded.

No dude, its called a joint task force. We are one team so we work together. I've worked with British, Italian, and Egyptian units. When you order a box of ammo its one type. Its easier to order just ball rounds than get tracers and take off every 5th round of the stripper clip just so you can "see" where you are shooting. If you are a good marksman you don't need to see where your rounds are going. They hit where you aim.
