meh I figured this out the first day the game came out. Its also one of the easiest ways to acturatly activate sp.

yup ... it counts as both the strum and the SP activation ... so that note will be under SP. However, there have been some times where I strummed the note by tapping the SP meter and it didn't give me the x8 multiplier for that note even though it was CLEARLY under SP. One more example that shows this game isn't as accurate as say ... GH3.
