My car exactly. He said the tires aren't sticky enough with the power of the Turbo. Not a problem for me. The car has plenty of power and looks good. I was going to get rid of it because 18 mpg city and 24 mpg highway is terrible. The longer I keep the car the more I like it. I think I will keep it because my wife loves it. It would be hard to beat for the price.
i'm 16 years old and i live in texas, so I need a car to get everywhere. i'm already getting my license and I'm determining which car I want. i was wondering if getting a 2009 PT cruiser is a good car to start with as my first car ever. I don't expect to get something extravagant and i'm girly so I really like how cute the car is. I'm not really technical either but I do want a good quality car regardless the look.
i have a 2006 base model PT Cruiser. i myself would have picked out a nicer model with a turbo like this one but i got mine for free. it's a candy apple red color and i love the car. i got it last month and while it only has 140 hp and doesn't accelerate very fast, it's a nice car to drive. handles really well and it really "cruises" once you get it up to a good speed! i hope to put sporty wheels on it in the spring but the car runs great. i definitely recommend it.
PT cruisers suck if you live in a tropical zone, my wifes PT overheats when it's over 95 degrees out, just had the heads machined (they got warped) and got new water pump, radiator, fan, thermostat, the works. Don't recommend the PT to anyone living somewhere with hot summers.
this is actually a nice one. The PT Cruiser i hd as a rental was crappy. i hated the ball shaped shifter. Too bad they stopped production. I don;t why they never restyle the car.
I just bought the real last year (2010) PT Cruiser, that I got it for $4900.00 below sticker! I guess all the first people to buy one in 2000 that paid $5000.00 abouve sticker are ready to scream. Sorry! LOL
if u guys ever buy a pt with the turbo drive in summer with summer sport time the tire that come with arnet worth shit. i know i have a 2008 pt red convetible turbo
I actually liked the 2006-2010 models. I hated the older models since it looked cheap in the interior.

consumer reports said that the 2010 model year is the last. so, if you're into this car, now's the time to get a GREAT deal!

and why is the gas milage so bad?
DJTEVAdotCOM 1 year ago
@DJTEVAdotCOM Because it is simply a DATED piece of crap. And poorly engineered.
