Ummm... where to start. Simply put, your version lacks the feeling the song needs. When you hold certain notes, they are very flat. End of the day, it's a mediocre karaoke performance. Sorry! My advice - watch the 2 James Brown versions (live & studio) on You Tube, they are the gold standards of this song.

Once again I have to say that I really your cover of this song, I played it for girlfriends at work they all said you are really good. So keep up the good work but make sure you choose the right songs that fit best with your style of singing, this I believe is the hardest part for many artists they play something they like but it doesn't always fit their style or voice, but obviously in this case it worked.
