This is impressive.. workstation a mess LOL.. that's quite organized technically man. Theirs a special site I saw that sell's old Nintendo controllers with USB jacks on them, bout 5-10 bucks a pop. Still.. be fun to rig your own up and experiment.

Awesome, get out of my head!! I did the same thing, only I used an ethernet port (I had a lot of old network cards and a dead router) and I attached it to the console. Using a d-sub is probably a better idea, but I wanted to use readily available network cables to plug in homemade controllers. Great job!!

Well, iI sold my DS to pay for Street Fighter 4 Limited Edition. Cool! MegaDrive coolio! I have a Sega CDX - google it. awesome system, 2-in-1, actually 3-in-1. Sega Genesis, Sega CD AND a Portable CD player (thought it is kind of big)!

working on that as we speak. just finished a button function test, now I'm modding a second button and 2 position switch onto an atari 2600 joystick. all said and done I'll have an atari joystick that works an NES - 2 orange fire buttons for A and B, and a toggle switch for start/select. this should be cool.

Hmm, I don't have a power supply and it works fne on my atari and on my genesis...

I did something VERY simiiar to this to hook my nes pad to my wii classic controller in the hack I did.

What are you doing your hack for in particular?

Well, I figured it would make building custom NES controllers a breeze. Just plug and play after they're built. But I think it'll work the other way too - using the modded NES controller for other applications. To do that I need to wire in a 5v supply though and I haven't done that yet. I'm not sure the extent that I can use this thing yet, but I plan on testing what I can do with it.
