Doctor Who - Suspension February 1985 : Two News Items

Doctor Who sold around the world and was very profitable for the BBC, but due to the backward way things worked (and still do), none of those profits result in a higher budget for the profitable show. But that aside, to cancel the show citing money saving was an outright lie by a petty, vindictive liar.

Micheal Grade is a complete dick head, JNT gets blamed too much for what happened in the late 1980s, Micheal Grade I think was eventually reponsible for the series degrade

It's also really ironic that Michael Grade and his kids enjoy the new series, however I will never forgive him for taking it off the air in 1985, sheer madness, 7 million viewers and they want to axe it. Didn't make sense, and as for new drama, what other drama did they make that would've come closed to Doctor Who's ratings. Rubbish idea to stop making it!!

"A spokesman stressed the current series (Season 22)will not be the last", well it's the last non-14 part series, it's the last series with 7 million viewers + in Great Britain alone, it's the last series with no ruined reputation, and the last series in a good time slot (Not opposite dam Corronation Street), Micheal Grade you dick head we hate you....

I know, everyone hates Micheal. WHY WAS (And still is) 'CORONATION STREET' POPULAR?! Coronation Street is like old ladie's wee! It's soooo old and skanky, talk about shabby and depressing (Reminds me of Micheal Grade). I laugh the way Micheal hypnotises the stupid people into his propaganda on Room 101. He says Doctor Who was tacky, we'll, I'm sure kind Micheal could have given the show a bigger budget, it's his responsabillity as a Controller.
