  • @BloodandGoreevah I know. But even if they train some parts of our military think of what the US does for other countries in their military.

  • @Illumminatiii The Navy Seals aren't trained by Norwegians there trained by ex-seals.

  • @Drpatrick777 I don't think he meant they where solely trained by norwegian Special Forces. But it is true that FSK/MJK and other branches of our military train foreign troops like Navy Seals for several things. Like Winter Warfare.

  • Alright. alot of bitchin here so I am probaly gonna repeat something that's allready been writtien somewhere but even do this you gotta go through hard training. that weapon gets heavy afterwards. Try holding and spinning it 8 hours everyday in 5 weeks or more, and before that we go through alot of ''green'' training, swimming in the mud, alot of shooting with a badass HK 416, intense close combat training and crazy disipline. When you ''gradute'' as a king guard you are a soldier and a guard.

  • Sir(s): If I may, at this Date and Time, state here how well this young man apparently handles his Weapon in the admirable fashion and agile handling he displays in Uniform. Thank you very much for adding this event here. Have a Nice Day. All the Very Best for the Future in your Astute Venture. Godspeed.

  • This guy spends 3 months in learning this, For an american they use 1 year.

so if your american and complains about this vid. join your army and see how tough training it is!

  • omg... this guy must piss bullets.

  • Anyone who can take a 9lb stick ,put a knife on it and spin it around their head... without cutting off any body parts has to be talented. As I have said before I hate being stereo typed as being an asshole. I see alot of people on here bad mouth each other and their countrys. I think there are patriots and hero in every country and I dont think the USA is number 1. I love my country and some of its people. But the people and the media who run it are dip shits. rock on HMKG

  • that was pretty good and you should be f\porud of your country. however, a have a friend in NJROTC who can do it almost as quickly. so Im sure a marine could show that guy up. But like i said it was impressive

  • I really don't think a marine can drill very good at all. But maybe the ceremonal guards could have been up to the task, but i don't think so...

  • Later in the campaign, the Guards fought with distinction on Dovrefjell and at Lundehøgda, near Lillehammer, winning their second battle honour. During the campaign in central Norway they were known among the German soldiers who fought them as "die schwarzen teufel" or "the black devils", due to their ferocity and dark uniforms

  • The battalion served with distinction during the Second World War, where it prevented the Wehrmacht from capturing the Royal Family and the Cabinet at the battle of Midtskogen Gård between the 9. - 10. April. This gave the Guards its first battle honour.

  • On arriving at the battalion from basic training, they spend their first five weeks in ceaseless drill practice, hand-to-hand fighting, physical training, close range firing and case solving exercises before they are allowed to perform their first duties outside the royal palace or around the Royal Family's country residence.

  • Just to put some facts on the table so we dont have to read about all this bitchin.

Wikipedia gives some good facts about the kings guard.

    Here is some.

  • What a bunch of assholes comment on this page. He is doing a good job. What the fuck does it have to do with this tired Europe vs. America bullshit? Nothing. Get a life and enjoy the show.

  • FUCK AMERICA! Because guess what this video is not about you stupid americans and your stupid marines. Its about the HMKG and you all know they own harder than you so STFU gay ass americans.

  • Uh do you think you guys could find something more trivial to bitch about. I cant think of anyone id rather have on my side during war than european soldiers, Im not talking about british . Im talking about norway finland sweden. these guys are ass kickers. My hero of all time was symo hayaa from finland he killed over 700 russians in the winter war of 1939. The fins refused to take shyt from russia, they killed 1.5 million russian and lost only 25k in less than a year. HOOAH And Iam an american

  • then you are probably one of those americans that are not fucked up...

  • LOL i try and there are a few of us who have honor and dont think we are the best.. id rather have friends than enemys

  • in a world of terror, it's better to stick together than run like a bitch..

  • AMEN!!!!!!!

  • respect from Norway, my fellow *not insane and not fuckings fanatic cunt*

  • I apologise but I must hve missed something. I dont have a clue what you mean. Did I say something wrong?

  • haha no, i mean't you're one of the sane people in your country.. it's a good thing, really..

  • hahahaha your just a gay marine... insecure about the fact that your army sucks big cocks. HMKG has bigger fucking balls the marines. Bet he could rally you in shooting. Go fuck yourself you piece of shit american

  • @Boofer4555 The kings guard of Norway has one task only,to protect the royal family, just like your secret service is protecting the president.

But i didnt expect an american like you to know anyway, cause you think everything in the world evolves around America.

  • @seawolf1451 Not so I am red blood American and I love you guys. You are the epitemy of honor and loyalty, you have my respect and friendship always. Remeber america is made up of almost all european ass kickers God save the king!!!

  • @seawolf1451 Not defending boofer or his statement here, but I'll take that comment from you gladly if you can tell me that you know the structure and procedures Venezuela has with their security.

Also, unlike boofer, I kind of assumed it was some sort of guard akin to the secret service, in terms of purpose anyway.

and this is more because I felt personally offended, not because you criticized my country.

  • @Exarian And what is it to be offended for?If i did i certainly apologize, but if i only knew why.

What have i said wrong about Venezuela if i might ask?

This was ment to the USA as in united states of America, ring a bell maybe?

  • @seawolf1451 What I meant was when you criticized him for not knowing a relatively obscure fact of your country, you claimed it was typical of americans because they do not care about any other country. I was saying that such a thing is hardly an american trait, and every country has things it doesn't know about other countries.

  • @Exarian Well if you dont know you usually ask.But in this case like most americans, they think everything evolves around the US cause they dont know anything else. Its that simple

  • @seawolf1451 they dont have only one task. they are in the infaltrary also.

  • @THEea101 REALLY ,if you want to share anymore obvious answers, please let me know.

Everyone in the hole Norwegian defence forces have to do the basic infantry training.

  • @Boofer4555 spinning our rilfes is a big thing yeah, we go through alot of training but i wouldnt mess with this guy. Just saying.

  • @Boofer4555 Di you really think he cannot aim and shoot his rifle, when he can spin it like that?

Marines my ass! The Norwegian Special Forces sends our officers to train US Navy SEAL's and many other branches of your military!

  • First of all, this is not a soldier designed to be in Afghanistan in battle, but to defend his king.

Secondly, the HMKG (His Majesty Kings Guard) have a lot of "green" training, which is ordinary combat training, so this guy know how to fight too.

And third. Every country need some of these soldiers. It makes me proud to see them

  • fuck the king, fuck the queen, fight for something bigger you faggot.

  • You just don't get it

  • kid your an asshole and have no honor

  • @kidstryke

sorry.....no oneare going to fight fore your mom.........

  • lol you dont think we get the same sort of traning as the marines do? lol come back when u know more of what this guy's been through. my good sir..

  • @kidstryke kid that is.When you have done your armyservice come back and make some more comments then, untill then just do us a favor and fuck off.

  • Everyone knows whats goin on over there is wrong, i've been there, and not hiding behind the military. You can go by what people tell you or you can go see it for yourself...I don't know how any of us would handle seeing out parents and siblings die in front of us...

  • Literacy is one thing, understanding of other cultures and ways of life is another thing that the common American will never have. They go in not to protect anyones way of life, but to force their own opinion of how a nations way of life should be.

  • Yes we invaded Afghanistan to shove fast food and mickey mouse down their throats. You figured out our ENTIRE secret foreign policy

    LOL have a nice day

  • Now, how do you know that?

If it were not for Stalin, YOU would have lived in a country known as Nazi US.

  • Thats wishful thinking. I know for a fact that if it weren't for Stalin my ancestors wouldn't have died in a gulag

  • Thats besides my point. Don't change the subject.

  • This guy has skill, but no Marines do that because it's not a part of their routine. If you can find a former drill team Marine, ask him, he may be able to do that...With a little practice.

  • Wich year is this??

  • then they probably were not american beacuas idk in order to go into the military u sorta have to kno a lot more then just reading..... i dont kno who u ran into buddy, but they wernt american!

  • The marines were sent in to beirut around the airport to facilitate the evac of PLO. They were aboard ship when the deaths occurred in the camps. I would like to know what HMKG unit you were in that was assigned to mnf unifil in beirut at that time. A requirement of marine corps recruits is to be literate and every Marine is a rifleman first. I think you are just full of lort, lorten, dritt, skitt, skitten, pick one!

  • The Multi national Force was under US command in Beiruth 82.

They was out of Beiruth for a short while during the massacre, and went back again later, The US had an agreement that they should be responsible for the security over the refugeecamps after the PLO left...This is facts!!

  • HMKG didn't have any units in lebanon but the Norwegian batalion serving in UNIFIL, did pick it's solidier from HMKG and other infantery units in Norway, Multi National Force had nothing to do with UNIFIL. The PLO got a promise that and agreed to evacuate from Beiruth if the refugee camp was secured against terror..do you honestly think that the PLO would have evacuated and left the security to Israeli Forces if they didn't have an agreement with the US.......

  • in 82 - 84 I Was in Lebanon, during the Israeli Invasion the Americans decided to send down troops to guard the Palestinian refugee camps, and we all know how that went.....weapons, ..many of the soldiers couldn't even read! that shooked us! that was your incorrect statement, american marines were in beirut at BIA, the italian troops were at the camps and no mnf were in lebanon when the lebanese entered the camps and murdered palestinians, spread your lies and misinformation somewhere else

  • I see how people are saying this is more precise than the Marine Corps Silent Drill Platoon? how is this, they don't even have to watch their rifle as they spin it like the way he did. I did this stuff for 4 years and only really had to watch the rifle when i was beginning. his movements are also sloppy. and lastly that move he did is what we called a butterfly, it is the easiest maneuver in exhibition

  • Your are a REMF - Rear Echelon Mother Fucker. The only front you saw was the front of the chow line. These guys are conscripts who do this drill in addition to their NATO duties.

  • well get you bags ready your going to china caue the hawaii kings gaurd are american and they can do way better. but still, this is cool.

  • Typical dumbass american answer "we can do better". These guys are on the NATO front line, & you forget them. They are better trained & motivated than your grunt. If their average soldier can do that I'd like that soldier on my side instead of GI Puke.

  • So your talking about skill in the battle feild, not drill. If your talking bout drill the hawaii kings gaurd is better. If your talking about the battle feild, I still belive americans are one of the best. damn why does everyone hate America, is it cause we are easy to put down? get over your selfs If it wasnt for americans alot of things wouldnt be out there, like youtube. or presidents, how about the airplane? get a damn life people.

  • tbforth: alot of peolpe hate americans for the way they behave.. Its not so hard to understand.. sad to say but its the truth..

  • Yeah, but its sad cause alot of Americans don't act that way.

  • Yes that is true tbforth.. but take a look arround on youtube.. A lot of the Americans think everything is better in America.. They think they have better military, better cars, better everything.. And that is fare from the truth.. They think they are "world police"

AND many americans behave that way when the are out in the world..

But yes not all American are this way

  • Yeah, I blame rap and hip hop. I mean back in the day, Most Americans were hardworking, humble, people. Now everything is just to easy, and everyone is wanting to be part of something bigger then them. But i am sorry if you meet these kinds of people. They give the good guys a bad name.

  • I do not think a music style can do so much bad to a country.

What about the school`s? The media? do the schools learn enough about other countrys? about respect for other people/other countrys?

And the media? they are a bit like the Nazipropaganda during WW2.. some americans do not know ANYTHING about ohter countrys and cultures.. And not many Americans can speak more then English.. so i don`t understand why SOME Americans behave this way..

  • Presidents doesn't have anything to do with other countries than your own :P And some of your presidents sucked balls. But I think Obama will be good.

As far as airplanes goes, it is a little bit more complex than just what the wright brothers found out, ok? :

But talking about the military, yeah, I agree that the US has probably the best military in the world. But it would be pathetic if you didn't, thinking of how much you spend on it.

  • ive seen a few videos of this team performing. they are very impressive. but calling out the marines i think was an unwise thing to do, as i know several high school kids who can do this.

  • well, this is age 18.. they are only training in about 6 months.. every day!

  • the day the americans reach our precision level, i shall flee to china!

At this point, it's laughable, considering the difference in training time. It is not without reason, that HMKG is maybe the most sought after military display in the world when it comes to tattoos. (And no, it's not because they are skilled drillers.)

  • i wasnt insulting the HMKG at all. i was just pointing out that the skills displayed here are not suffecient to call out the marines on. Im fairly certain that any member of the SDP could do this with their eyes closed...and with less body movement. btw, you should look up King's Guard in Hawaii if you havn't already. That's precision.

  • No, since when did they perform high precision drill? I thought they were more like the american teams`? (spinning the rifles, unlike HMKG wich mainly does weapon commands. E.g: shoulder arms.)

  • umm, im fairly certain no shoulder arms command requires anything demonstrated in this video

  • Totally agree.

    Served in HMKG 07/08.

  • They drill 10 hours a day for 6 months. They don't do anything else.

  • yes, but how good of shot is he hmm?!!?? lol.. fantastically done! :)

  • I just watched the Ed Mil Tattoo (08) - these guys are BRILLIANT!

I just served 26 years in the Royal Australian Navy and seen a lot of parades. These guys can hold their heads high for they performed exceptionally!! BZ

  • Really nice to actually hear someone not from norway posting good comments about our guys :) Cheers dude... And if going by ur name ur dutch? If so then i served with alot of ur countrymen down in Afghan... Really good people they are :D And funny as hell too

  • Thanks mate. No my parents are Dutch who immigrated to Australia in the 1950s. I'm an Aussie, born and bred....just got the Dutch surname. I was in the Aussie Navy for 27 years...just left last year. You might have served with some Aussie Diggers in the ghan. Thanks buddy...and if you're in the Military....your a good man!!

  • Still am yes :) Home on downtime at the moment though. No new mission until autumn. And yes, i was fortunate enough to stumble upon a few of the Australians aswell :) We norwegians allways got a cool about ourselves wich the brits used to call "slacking". But you astralians totally understood us. Wearing shorts and relaxing while inside camp SHOULD be very acceptable.. Its the only time where we can put our shoulders down and take a breather.

  • The Brits (or the 'Poms' we Aussies like to call them) are a little pompous. Take care when you go back on deployment mate.

  • We see this every 17.may outside both live and on tv for those whos home at the time when they start their show.

You can watch the Norwegian tattoo..

That is just few of the tricks..

about taliban, if the u.s had not got us on their side, they would had lost more.

We mostly snipe from 2km away to kill a target.

  • Thou have provoken ze maste of ze houze!

    That aside...

I think there is time for a little....enlightment.

Firstly, the Kings Guard of Norway, is in fact no a huge drill platoon, for those who would like to think so.

Infact the Cermonial company is only a fraction of what HMKG really is.

You see, the kings guard is devided into 6 company's. The most know abroad is probably what they are known for, and their main reprsentant, the third. So yes, they can fight. And HMKG is bataljon size (1000)

  • I don't find that crazy impressive actually. I know I don't like the "About this Video" portion. Does anyone know more about the HMKG?

  • If you look them up on wikipedia, you'll find a lot of info, but there isn't a lot there about the 3rd company, the exhibition company.

If you copy and paste "Gatedrillen" or "Første drill" into the search bar on Youtube, you'll see what the King's Guard really does.

  • Yep.. I looked them up, they are really showy. Great performers. I like the music timing

  • Yep.. I looked them up, they are really showy. Great performers. I like the music timing

  • yeah,in a newly performed parade in the main street of the capitaln Oslo, The royale Guard not just spinned around AG3 but handled them like twigs.

And btw MWDrill: His majesty's royale guard has been declared the worlds best. so I strongely suggest u go and get privy to the nature of the guard.

  • MartinYtrey, "best" is a matter of opinion. In my own opinion, they are not the best. The only impressive quality of the rife drill is the high level of precision, though they do have music to help them keep together. As far as spinning goes, New Guard America remains unsurpassed. They'll be performing at the Norwegian Military Tatoo this year so if you disagree, watch them and then decide.

  • Music to help them keep together? Have you ever seen the kings guard or what? I sugest you take a plain to Norway and see them youself, before you start talking about something you ovlearly dont have any idea about. You see, the kings guard have a silent part, wich there is no command's nor music in.

In my oppinion this goes way higher than any other drill team in the world. And when you get the marching band aswell, it just makes it better.

  • Thinking about it, These guys train for about 4 months before they have their first official show. And then they show a drill at about 30mins. Thats quite a long time dont you think? So yes, we are better than you.

  • By music, I was referring to the marching band. And yes, I'll admit I have never seen the entire performance, but this is mainly because I get bored watching it. Yes they are good, but sometimes short and to-the-point is much better than a long drawn out drill. You have your opinion and I have mine. Let it be

  • No argument there. Thats what they usually do. On big tattoo's they only get to show 10 minutes at max. There, they use the best parts of their drill. Adding a bit of light effects and stuff to top it. But yes i agree with you, i was only saying what they were capable to do.

  • Well the Norwegian drill team and marching band contains of 1year conscripts, while the USMC Silent Drill Platoon contains of people serving a 7years service. See any difference? Still the Norwegian drill team and marching band has been invited to Edinburg tattoo the most time in a raw... 7 or 8 while USA havent.

  • I admit that the USMC silent drill platoon got some nice skills but you can't really compare them, as they have different marching and more drilling with the rifle. I would say HMKG drill team has more skills in marching considering the amount of time they put into it

  • pretty cool !! =3=

  • remember that these soliders are just serving for one year! the only tatoo "groups" that are better than these guys, are proffesional ones, that train for several years to come close.... Still do exersises like this when no one is watching;-D

  • Nice M1 Garand, I wonder where that came from??? Nice skills.

  • Norway... His Majesty the Kings Guard

  • antidead i am just wondering can u do that??

  • PS: This guy is a ledgen! What he does blows my mind every time! Long live the Kings Guard!

  • To all American know-it-all.Just for info, Norwegian special Forces, beat US special forces in exercise again and again. And under an other exercise,a norwegian SUB,simulated 5 torpedo hits on a US Carrier, sinking it under an exercise. Why I know this,I was there.

PS: Please ohh sweet god please check your facts before posting people!

Just to clear opp the Rifle deal. Norwegian combat rifles are the AG3, and uses 7,62×51 mm ammo and are much heavier than the standard American M16 rifle.

  • But no one in the US spins the M16.

  • No thats true, but no one in Norway spins det AG3 either. But the US have there "special" troops for shows and tattoos, That spins rifels (Can't remeber with rifle).

  • PS: Most remeber that the rifle in this clip is not the main Norwegian rifle, but only for show. The main rifle is the A3G3 and MP5, but it's to be replaced by the HK416 and MP7. And also that the U.S. Army Drill Team, one of the 3rd U.S. Infantry's renowned specialty units also spins old fashion rifels.

  • Yeah. That's what I'm saying. Obviously the M16 is much lighter than the rifles used by most drill teams/individuals/organizations. In America, the three most prominent drill weapons are the M-1, the M1903A3, and (at the high school level) the M-14. All of these sans the M-14 are completely out of use.

  • I will say that upon reading some of your comments, I have to disagree. The USA is paving the way for what is referred to here as "exhibition" or "trick" drill. The best HS units/individuals far surpass what our own Service Drill Teams do.

I suggest you search for the Hawaiian King's Guard Drill Team. Without a doubt, they are the most proficient drillers in the world today. In order to understand this, you would have to be privy to the nature of the guard. You might enjoy it!

  • yes, but they are trained all their life.

HMKG trains at this for 3-4 months.

  • That's very true. Obviously, the nature of teams is quite different.

  • hehe .. yeah they are good,, but man .. HMKG has won the most of what is to win for their drilling ;) what the heck, they even sing good :O

    Cheers!

  • that is not true!

HMKG does not compete. They only perform.

  • what do u mean cant affor amerika? u should learn your own laguage..... do u mean cant afford to go to amerika?????? norway is the richest country in the world..... with the highest bnp in the world, ranked by the un 4 times in a row, as the best place to live in the world.... so try checking som facts before acusing ppl to be poor, most americans would be considered poor in norwegian standards......

  • haha thats so true

  • that is so cool, i did not know Norway had a king, it thought it was sweden with the king, o well

  • Idiot... Both contry's have king's (for the record: different ones!)

  • who wants to go to europe just to that, all the people there has never heard of a dentist and smells like shit take a shower eurotrash and its ok that your jealous you cant afford to america we all know

and walk in a park HAH oh please stop lying to yourself thats the only trick he could and was scared little pussy spinning that lol sloppy ass cum shot europeans think they can handle a rifle dont make america laugh even more at you wannabes

  • what do you know about HMKG? Nothing i guess....

we use like 5 times heavier rifles than you.

    God americans are so ignorant!

  • Nah, you really don't. It's the same rifle.

  • Well, well...actally Norway has for several years been voted by the UN as the best country in the world to live in, and(if it matters..) our dental hygiene is just fine:-) You actually sound like you're some white trash bastard pathetic enough to still believe in George Dub'ya....

  • Why do US forces come to Norway to learn from us, then? Why did I myself have to go to Afgh to train your bloody soldiers in mountian survival? What is it that makes you Mickey Mouse-forces, consisting mostly of fellons and yokals, so much better in your worthless opinion?

The only thing here that smells like shit, is yer ignorance.

  • haha=)how can americans be so fucking stupid?

  • You may have better ones in the US, but they also have like 1 kilo-rifles without the ability to shoot. Compared to these 4,5-5 kilo something rifles, it's a walk in the park....

  • ahhhh...like im a U.S citizen and have a Hummer!!! and....i can just run u over...like that...ahahahahah

  • hummer sucks in the cold

  • LOL!... a 4-wheel-drive is pretty normal in Norway and did u know that cars in Norway costs like double the price that they cost in the usa...

    AND "ahhhh...like im a citizen i Norway and have a Audi to 110 000 dollars (770000 kr)!!! and....i can just run u over...like that...ahahahahah"

  • actually i can order a shirt saying EAT SHIT EUROPE and nobody can do shit hows that for freedom of speech

  • yeah, you do that, buy that t-shirt and come to europe and see how much we really care. then you buy a t-shirt saying EAT SHIT AMERICA and see how different the reactions are.

  • Smashing argument...

  • it is. they sucks in cold...

and to make things clear: its cold in norway!

  • In Norway we got freedom of speech. USA lacks that :D Time to wake up americans, you are getting lazy!

  • actually they can do that even HIGH SCHOOL students in junior rotc lol what was that

  • your high school students is too fat and lazy to do such things.

  • HAHAHA your really funny ive been able to dot hat since my sophmore year of high school

  • Really? I dunno...

  • impressive, this guy is a real Pretorian

  • americans are arrogant, what i heard(americans inclusive) from the wars in Irak, and in afghanistan,is that they are the worse troops in action(spoiled and fat),and the norwegians, are between the most effective

  • yea right....NGA has 13 world records...what does HMKG have?

  • yea right....i search for Mew Guard America and i dont find a shit...very impressive xD

  • NGA doesnt have 13 world records, besides NGA have NEVER been in an war.

  • you should check out NEW GUARD AMERICA...

  • HMKG is way better than NGA
