  • I thought it was snowy shaw on the album not mikkey dee he left i think after conspiricy or them

  • One of the best guitar pieces in the history of music. But man, don't listen to it here. Put on the CD, crank it up as loud as is goes, and listen to it in the dark. It will change your freakin life.

  • Great song!

  • KD is the shit. I love the man. My screen name should be proof of that. This is such a beautiful piece. Please get healthy King. We need a new CD and tour.

  • This is the type of music that makes a mind drift off

  • The only thing I don't like about this song is that it's not longer than 3 minutes!

  • This is enchanting.

    Andy Larocque is a wizard.

  • @WishmasterTheDark Musically and literally he is one.

  • LONG LIVE THE KING!!!!

  • This triggered this psychosis for a life time .... Hahaha..Thank you King bendix peterson "Diamond.

  • @jaylasen1 is that his actual name? Someone told me it was Lars (like, of course Metallica's drummer's name).... Or maybe having a blonde moment here which is nothing new to me lmao

  • @johnTardyMetallover7 Yeah man that is his real name, And by lookin at your name i believe you must be a fan of Obituary... seen them live once...

Killer death metal from the past !!!!

  • @jaylasen1 Definitely an Obit fan here. Been a fan of old-school death and bm for almost 20 years. Hard to believe how time flies so fast. It seems just yesterday I first got introduced to bands like Death, Morbid Angel, Burzum, Dark Throne, Bathory and many more from that time!

  • The maestro who conducts this orchestra is casting spells...PSYCHE!!!

  • @agentredlum Wicked spells indeed!

  • kushed into insanity 2012kingdiamond

  • King Diamond is not music for masses or time periods.

If you've got ears for these guitars, then you can judge music.

  • This combination of musicians is more than outstanding. This song is just one more proof of their power

  • This album was written about the Spanish inquisition. I have been listening to Mercyful Fate since they first came out as well as King Diamond. I have read many articles on them and I'm glad they are still around. Thanks for the upload!!!

  • exelent!

  • This and "Something Wreid" (from Conspiracy) are two awesome instrumentals.Andy Larocque rules!

  • Theres a video somewhere here on youtube of two brazilian guys playing this together it was incredable.

  • Hank plays in Mercyful Fate, this is Andy LaRocque and Pete Blakk (who replaced Mike Denner aside from Michael Moon who only did the Abigail Tour from Mercyful Fate as part of the original King Diamond lineup after the MF breakup in '84)

One of the best KD lineups, though I did enjoy Glen Drover on House of God

  • @MaelSechlinn Glen Drover was an awesome #2 to andy on that tour .

  • I would love to have this played at my cremation when the time comes..

  • Andy larocque...is Truly one of my favorite guitarist of all time..

  • I always wished that King had left the real satanic stuff for M. Fate and the "story telling" side for K. Diamond. It simply overlapped in was sort of confusing. His band was perhaps more under rated than any in metal from that time...or any time.

    Sam

Please check out break me on our site.

  • @samfrompasingtime I checked it out spammer. Break me is a pathetic excuse for music.

  • I love this song!!! King Diamond is bad ass!!!!

  • @TheRealDamiani he's thee bad ass :D

  • Andy Larocque!!!

  • amazing song. it's all about 2:43 onwards...

  • frickickin' AWESOME!!!!!

  • this is such a pretty song its hard to believe it came from king diamond

  • @spawn2095 Whoa man , King Diamond is full of kick ass songs! why is it hard to believe?

  • Great kd track!

  • This one is a cool melody

  • Why so many comments for an instrumental i wonder to myself?

No vocals are used during instrumentals.

  • This guys brilliant,I grew up listening to Yngwie Malmsteen and reckon it's obvious,Andy La Roque is the worlds best guitarist, with Yngwie a close second.Abigail is pure genius, and wouldn't have been the same without the master.

  • so satanic... and no one notices...

  • @amiin92 i actualy notice it but i dont give a fuck...

  • @Muertodeaththrash you definitely should

  • @Muertodeaththrash hahah dude relax is just music....

  • @Muertodeaththrash i knew you would say that... you know nothing about this world :O

  • @amiin92 hahah dude relax its just music...

  • Snowy Shaw is just as good as Mikkey Dee,both would be top ten heavy metal drummers easy,Snowy does some pretty technical stuff.

  • MIKKEY DEE IS BOSS

  • @davevrbic1 is he on this album? i thought he was until 1989?

  • ANDY FOR THE WIN!!

  • folks hate to bust your bubbles, snowy only played on tour, king and andy used a drum machine to make the album...mickey left and they had a deadline, snowy made it in time for the photo shoot.....sorry

  • This is one of KD's best

  • Musically, it does not get much better than this.!!

  • @chazz187 i dont know if that is supposed to be a compliment or what

  • Does anybody know where i can find "The Meetings" song from the album The Eye?

  • COOL! Finally someone called it Nigger Music!!!

Yeah, King Diamond is the shit! More talent in this instrumental than any pop or shit that's out there now!

Sure, it's not the typical King Diamond tune, (cremation is my favorite) but it has 2 great guitarists from the 80's Andy LaRocque and Pete Blakk and I read somewhere King used a drum machine on most of the tracks for THE EYE because they were switching drummers at the time.

    Cool song though!

  • @sunovbich You are correct. Drum machines were used to make this albumn. Still an excellent one though!

  • @COLL2446 fuck you dude this shit is amazing you fuckin idiot what kind of shit do you listen to nigger music ?

  • @TheM3TaLMeTaLLiCa wow your ignorance is,,, amazing ... I'd like to know you better

  • @TheM3TaLMeTaLLiCa Why it gotta be nigger music man.Im black and i love King Diamond.Lets leave race alone. You dont see any one here saying cracker music. So chill yo

  • @COLL2446 The sort of crap you cannot even understand, let alone reproduce :D This is music..played by musicians...strange huh you fag ? :D

  • @COLL2446 fuck you piece of shit rap boy cock sucker!

  • @COLL2446 HEY FAGGOT, STOP SENDING ME GAY PORN LINKS TO MY PAGE!!

  • @COLL2446 The same crap i had playing when i fucked your mom last night :)

  • @COLL2446 go fuck yourself little kid......find a nice tit and have some breakfast.

  • @COLL2446 fuck you cocksucker!!!!!!!

  • @COLL2446 it's awesome!

  • @COLL2446 I will find you and destroy you,in the name of satan.

  • This is one of the nicest songs I've ever heard,.......you can't be called King unless you are the King, and King Diamond is one of the greatest of all time.

  • GREAT Metal / Hardrock album !!!! This was my first LP i bought !! I was 14 at this time.......still love that sound !!! YEEEEAAAHH !!!! From Heeeeeeell .......

  • fuckin great hadrockmetal instrumental compositision - where guitarist playing by the King Diamond at thats times?!

  • @czechrdrocks Guitar genious Andy Larocque, Snowy Shaw on drums, Pete Blakk, Hal Patino. I think it was the best set up right there.

  • @Szederp Snowy Shaw over Mickey Dee? I don't know about that, but you are entitled to your opinion. :)

  • @alldaytubin Well......there sg you must know about this album anyway. The drums were recorded using a drum machine. Snowy Shaw "only" played on concerts. But yeah, Mickey Dee is legendary.

  • @Szederp I heard that Snowy just used an electric drum kit to record this album, which made a lot of people think they were just programmed. I don't know how true that is, though.

  • @Szederp yeah that bugged me ,why there is a drum machine I dont know. great album though

  • @alldaytubin snowy sham started notre damme as vocalist or im a wrong ?

anyway king diamond is metal way (6) \m/

  • @Szederp yeah Theres no Human drummer on THE EYE album. Mickey For the WIN!

  • @Szederp I was sorry and King Diamond was sorry lost Mikkey Dee to Dokken, then Motorhead. Snowy was good on this album though.

  • @Szederp what about hank

  • @Szederp The drummer on this album was Snowy Shaw, although Snowy actually didn't play on "The Eye" (a drum machine was used instead)

  • Awesome song. Sometimes I play this at weddings during dinner.. Most people have no idea it is King Diamond but I love to throw it in.

  • @Merciful2u The guests have nooooooooo idea :D

  • @Merciful2u If I am ever sitting at a stuffy dinner / event, and the band starts playing King Diamond, I'm heading straight for the ATM (after listening to the whole song, of course) and giving the guy(s) the biggest tip ever! You're awesome!

  • @Merciful2u Thats awesome!!!The most evil ballad ever!!!

  • @blaztradiouz666 I think the only evil part is the ending when the piano plays the dissonant minor notes. :)

  • @Merciful2u You will play when I get married, right?

  • @Goetterdaemmerung7 You are very kind to ask....and i would for sure...I would love to DJ a wedding for people who actually know this music and love it.

  • @Merciful2u Do you serve "tea"?

  • @Merciful2u That hilarious AND awesome at the same time!

  • @Merciful2u fuck that, drink all the wine and chuck on "Nuns have no fun"

  • @Merciful2u Reminds me of how I used to work at a bookstore and made instrumental compilations to play in the store as people browsed the books. This was on one of them, and several times people asked me what was playing. None of them seemed to have heard of King Diamond so I wrote down his name and the track title for them.

  • What a masterpiece!! King Diamond is phenomenal!

  • The first KD album I ever heard and I was HOOKED!!!! Such incredible music and vox! They were GREAT live in Memphis in 1997!!!!!!!!!!

  • This is just...beautiful

  • Ah, sweet sweet memories ... and inspiration. Keep it coming, King & Andy!!

    Love rock!

  • freemanson illuminati eye

  • i love this band like all crazy fucking hell man BUT king does use the word insanity too much. he needs to put out a new album, but i think it would be awesome if he actually changed the style around a bit. hes never done really fast music and i would be interested to see how that would work out with him.

  • Beautiful track...albeit from a douche-y band

  • @trjohn30 Why douchy?

  • used to listen to this b4 exploring the old abandoned Eloise Insane Asylum in southern Michigan in the early 90's,scary shite :D

  • My ex boyfriend asked me out to this... *cries* I miss him :( I didn't want it to end..

  • @SelenaKicks What happend?

  • @DarthNader11 Ugh, loooong story =[

  • bravo romantica guitarrra

  • beautiful-where's the actuall song?

  • @copnite12342 Whatever do you mean? This song is quite actual to me :D

  • @Szederp i mean the lyrics. is it just instrumental.

  • @copnite12342 It is instrumental, buy "The Eye" from King Diamond, it is worth it!

  • @copnite12342 Are you deaf?

  • @bluebrett70 u ought to stop buggin' i meant where are the lyrics?

  • @copnite12342 It doesn't have to have lyrics to be a song? Are you new to music?

  • @bluebrett70 ''shruggs and walks away...''

  • A Timeless Metal Classic

  • The time is now King. Wheelchair, we don't care. We want you back onstage NOW!

  • He was ranked, 48th? of guitar gods of all time. The critics may not know him, but the fan sure as hell do! Andy is one of the all time greats. I would put him up against anyone. His solos in concert when he let's it all out......Wow!

King usually goes back stage 3 times each concert, one for the drummer solo, then for the lead guitar solo and again for the bass guitar solo. Andy never let us down. 30+ live shows for me, I am dying for the next one.

  • every effort is a platinum effort from this timeless great ---everything about the KING is unique --from his personna to his unbelievably forever underappreciated music --FUCK THE WORLD ----- KING DIAMOND IS THE SHIT !!!!!!!

  • This is a masterpiece. Just another song I add to my collection of tunes from back in the day that should be re-recorded with modern tech.

    It would be orgasmic.

  • you should be there with him, you can hear. a great skill! just dive. like the praise so is the magic watch my thumb ill pull it off

  • you should be there with him, you can hear. a great skill! just dive. like the praise so is the magic

  • This song is great when your parent die of your retardness Szederp.

    HAHAHAHAHA!

btw don't going around and talking shit on our video. You're so retarded you got so much hate mail on your profile and you're to stupid to know it.

  • Emo music for pathetic wanker and stupid ass Szederp don't you ever post your shit on my video you no-talent suck sucker. Get the game, play the game than comment on my game ==D

  • The whole album is just another great story made by king's creative imagination...But the 4 th (2 little girls) and the 10th(1642 imprisonment) tracks guide you to feel how king"s fairy tale came up...just fabulus...

  • Peazo cancion

  • after all these years this piece still makes me stand in awe...Andy La roque you are indeed are a legend

  • One of my favorite King Diamond Instrumentals, Andy La roque is a criminally underrated guitarist.

    Hail King! \m/

  • @disturbedspike ... andy is a fucking genius...i've never heard better solos than his!!

  • @disturbedspike Agreed

  • Andy laroque should be put high up there with the greates guitar players! He is done it on every KD* record. UNIQUE!

  • Indeed, he performed the most intelligent of guitar solos I have ever heard. Think of the intro riff in "Into the convent".....brilliant.

  • best album ever and line up too! this record will survive the test of time

  • Best album! So progressive...

  • Thanks so much for adding one of the masterpieces of our time!

  • amazing melodies on this track.

    Hail the king! \m/

  • Incredibilmente bella

  • The Eye by King Diamond -> Musica... Stupenda e... Dolcemente&Intensamente Coinvolgente...

    G.A.'72

  • And now in english please ?

  • @Szederp

    letteral translation:

"The eye by King Diamond the Music is brilliant, sweetly/intensively overwhelming"...

And I partly agree, but "in the shadow" by mercyfulfate I like more :)

  • this albumb is one that was really captavating and it made me instanly a fan long live king totaly epic

  • KING DIAMOND IS THE FUCKING MAN!!!

  • anybody know what is going on with king diamond?????

    Long Live King Diamond!!!

  • @xXDioBoLiCXx Still down after the back operation...

  • I adore this song *****

  • I don't care for king diamond too much...however this album is awesome..his best..in my opinion.

  • I wish there was some live KD version on here. Not a cover version, but the real thing.

  • I love it's stoic quality.

  • KD wrote some beautiful fucking music.

It's ironic that God gave him such a gift.

    Thanks King.

    Thanks God.

You two are some cool, misunderstood motherfuckers.

  • Although KD sure wrote some great songs, this isn't one of them. 'Insanity' was written by Andy LaRocque, who learned to master the guitar through countless hours of practice, not because some invisible sky ghost injected the ability into him at the moment of his conception. If the monster called 'God' in the Old Testament is real, he is a monumental fucker indeed and deserves to be hung, drawn and quartered for insane acts of cruelty to mankind. You may ask King what he thinks on the matter.

  • He's not into him.

  • My point exactly. All the same, he may still have a little something to say about the general depravity of the sordid mess called 'religion'.

  • Yeh, he don't like it.

  • @daemonomaniac I think Rush said the same thing in an interview one time.

  • @daemonomaniac Andy as a guitarist was working on all KD's songs.

  • @jazu40: I know, and never argued otherwise...listened to KD since Fatal Portrait

  • the devil can make beautiful music too you know.lol

  • *sigh* lame joke or ridiculous proposition, take your pick

  • I love this song. Its so relaxing in a twisted way.

  • Impecable

    que hermoso tema

KING DIAMOND por siempre, Andy LaRocque sos un genio.

  • Grossly underrated....some of the best musicians played with King Diamond.

  • @PhilosophicalViking

    So very true :).

This is a very beautiful song, gives me chills.

  • Great piece. Always cranked this up in the car with the windows down!
