Those sound real nice I'm after some components but Focals out of my price range have you got any recomendations for some 6.5 components $200 and under?
I have the same radio in my car, could you please let me know how you connected your iPod to your car radio? I tried it with an FM-transmitter from my digital radio first, but the quality was shit, so i bought a tape-jack-adapter, but the CD-changer quality is still better and the adapter makes some noise in the background...
Is there an AUX-In or something? Or how did you connected it?
Mine's using a tape-jack-adapter too. Fortunally mine doesn't make too much noise, but I've seen some mods on the new Clarion head units where the CD changer cable was used as a line-in Aux.
Take out the unit and replace with the new pioneer models with direct ipod connection, and they absolutley punmp in these models. I have the pionerr with direct ipod, running alpine splits in the front, stock in the back and a blaupunkt sub and it absolutley thumps!
Mine is not a bomb system have very much gone for quality, the sound quality i get is very sharp and crisp with the new head unit. I originally had a blaupunkt head unit which was very nice but got tired of trying to get a decent sound out of the ipod! Trust me you will end up with a nice sound. However the question i have for you is what material did you use for the deadening??
Sounds really good man, even through your camerea! Can't wait to do something similar.
Was it Dynamat you used?

It's on the dash, on top there's a place for it, where the OEM ones were located.

Mainly Dinamat Extreme and Brax eXvibration. I've used some other products but on very specific locations like the A pilars for airborne noise.

that bass ONLY with focal speakers? no subs??
gdlrtm 4 years ago
No subwoofer, just the 165 CV1 at the front and the 690 CV1 at the back. The sound deadning really helps to get more bass from the speakers.

amazing!! :D great speakers and installation.

there aren't CV but V (no tweet). very nice without sub. i've the 130V2 and a 27V1 (my amp is the 4.75 fom focal) and it sounds really better.
lecriquet1 4 years ago
You're right, 165 V1, two ways. On the back I have the coaxial 690 CV1, thus the typo.
