@randomgoofydude well since oil is lighter then water, the oil will stay above the water, since the thing is moving, the water and oil sorta "mix" and cause what looks like waves.

It's not digital, it's analog. The noise is generated by an operational amplifier that is set to oscillate with the RPM of the asynchronous AC motor that moves the vessel.

@randomgoofydude I think the water is on top as it flows more easily. The lower would be an oily substance (more dence) with a dye.

Trying to make a wave machine is a lot harder than one would think, as the liquids have to be "just right".

What you are usig for Liquids? What size is the Tube?

Not sure what the exact liquids used are.

I do know that the liquids have to use an exact ratio and viscosity to function correctly.

The tube is 5 inches wide and 30 inches long.

They only made a few of these Giant Pacifica models and stopped in the early 90's.

I have "never" seen another model like this.

The 21 inch long version is slightly less rare.

There are special chemicals involved using a certain viscosity.

No one makes quality wave machines anymore for a reason.

The rarity of this item made it worth the cost. IMHO
