I love both cars but we all know the challenger belongs to the drag strip and porsche belongs to the track if you guys want drag races race american cars if you want track races race european if you wanted to get picked on or laughed at when you go to school or your job get japanese ( except gtr )

My charger total cost 20k, it's puttin 760 Hp to the rear wheels and over 850 ft/lbs... Way less than a 300hp German weinershnitzel on wheels

First of all, I sold cell phones since '92. Second of all, the star TAC was not the "first flip phone" it was the first commercially successful flip phone in the US. @DBtheMenace pretty sure this wasnt a cellphone video....nobody had such a thing back in '99. probably a vhs video camera that was transferred to the net. It was a quick race. the porsche was an easy 10 second car. the challenger was probably closer to an 8 second car. it was the only time we saw the challenger run. the porsche would run anybody every sat. nite. and no, i didnt shoot the video, i was on the other side of the street!

that challenger was a chev 454 with a supercharger. the porshe wasnt stock either. it was est. at 600hp, while the chev powered dodge was 900+hp. the video was shot in calgary ab. back in 99'. how do i know? i was standin on the opposite side of the street that night.

The porsche's now are technically 993s or 997s (I dont remember), however a true 911 the body style the headlights are vertical. Porsche just kept 911 because it is the most recognizable name. most 993's/997's are just called carreras with a s/4/4s/turbo etc after

Yeah I agree. And most ALL german cars give you more HP for your $. For example a 20,000 dollar VW is much faster than a 20,000 dollar Chevy or Ford.

not really, some cars only... and even if they have more horsepower theyre not faster, for example, hmm... lets compare a golf gti which is higher than 20,000 against a cobalt ss which is about 20,000... the cobalt is way faster on 60, and quarter but not top speed i think, but a 335i is faster than a mustang gt, you really cant compare cars by prices, unless youre comparing them overall

the GTR is about how much? 120,000?? i havent paid much attention to it, but as a lot of people argue about... the ZR1 corvette is about the same price and wayyy faster...

its a different kind of engine, Porsche engines put more HP per displacement than most other engines and the exhaust on Porsches are actually finely tuned to the engine displacement, not to mention the fact that the chevy is an 8 cylinder that probably draws twice the ccs of the porsches 6 cylinder. Oh yea and try to corner in the chevy...and die... corner in the porsche and get some clean over-steer

haha, have you driven a muscle car? for that DODGE not chevy, to be blown, it is a MUST to have an upgraded suspension, so, I don't get why people still think of stock muscle cars, where everybody knows almost none, just the most expensive ones keep their stock suspension. I can take happily corners with my old and my new mustang and have way more fun than in a porsche.
