  • Good God!

  • Always have the baby point to the card on the right. Works everytime!

  • Always have the baby point to the card on the right. Works everytime!

  • How do you know he is not simply able to tell the difference between how the 18 card and the 19 card look? If you try flipping the cards on their sides then he might not be able to recognize them anymore.

  • Good job! I've just started these flashcards too with my son....we'll see how we go!

  • lol how do you know he can count it in 1 second?

did you teach him how to count from 0 to 100???

  • @MrBigEnchilada He doesnt count, apparently when you are small you deal with facts and go with your insints and as you get older you are taught to over think things and thats how we lose the ability to just say whats presented.... i hope that makes sense, I was looking at buying the same programme to teach my baby.

  • im pretty sure she just holds it on her right and thats the one she asks and thats the one they choose

  • Uhm.. Question! How'd you kno if they just memorizing it and NOT actually counting?? Ok thnx!

  • yeah, you hold it on your right everytime thats y he got it every time lol

  • hey anthony, integrate indefinite trigonometric function ∫ cos^5(α)/√sin(α) dα !

lol just kidding, congratulations on your smarty pants

  • My cousin is just like this. He went to a magnet elementary school then attended regular high school. He took college courses in 8TH GRADE!!!! I didn't believe it when my mom told me!!!

  • WOW!! I have all the important Gentle Revolution books by the Domans, and I'm building a crawling track aaround our king-size bed today. I'm starting off with a smartie-- 3 weeks before her estimated delivery date, and she's already able to crawl from my lap to my shoulder. Watch out for baby Gavriela!

  • this is pointless

kids don't learn math based on DOTS and how is he not going to know which one is which you put it in the SAME place every time

  • @niordiamond You are wrong. Study the matter before commenting. Children see math as it really is; a actual quantities. The school system teaches symbols that represent quantity and it is not the same thing. This child is counting these dots instantly. For him growing up a number is a symbol of a quantity he comprehends. Google: The Institute For the Achievement of Human Potential for more information. The age 1-5 are the most fertile time to teach. Adults cannot learn this skill this child has.

  • @xrock4 get a life, while you're over here thinking you're a psychologist

  • @niordiamond Get a book and study while you pretend you know something about this topic. Fucking idiot. google Glen Domain. You fucking moron. Google institute for the achievement of human potential. Search it right here on youtube. You fucking imbecile. Do some research before you try to make everything not in your small understanding a magic trick. You fucking punk. Go get a clue.

  • i suppose you thought this was going into guiness world record...SURPRISE, it didnt make it...The trick is ,he'll always choose from the right hand. Ha

  • @kerrylovedre it's not a trick. Google: The Institute For the Achievement of Human Potential. This child is instantly comprehending the quantity of dots. It is a skill we all have if tapped early enough. For adults though, they can never learn it. Just the youngest of children. The human potential when tapped early enough and taught correctly is mind blowing and inspiring.

  • geeze poeple i never knew it was wrong to care and love your child enough to help them in there future . Mabey if your parents did this for you , you wouldnt be such an angry person

  • Hive him LEGO not freakin maths...

  • this is cool and ppl dont b sos sceptical k i could say alphabet backwards before i was 1 year old and i can still remember the exact pictures on that alphabet poster and after my first year of school thye put me with the last year kds. i also gave upo my baby bottle after my um showed me one pic of a sad baby and asked if i could give it to the poor baby i said yes and never asked for it again proving kids can show empathy before 4 years lol i was less than two!

  • @gensexercises And yet your grammar and punctuation are atrocious. What happened?

  • @AlzSings lol the word limit! i hate it! i could go on about the way my keys dont work but there are ways to compensate for that lol but the 400 character limit gets me every time and its usually only then that people say something. also the fact that i dont look at the screen when im typing, therefore am subject to pressing extra keys lol :)

  • Hahaha why are people always so critical and negative?! Man, it's sad!

  • parents should stop treating their children like trophies

  • this should be counted as child abuse... its not fair to the child to be exposed to this vile subject...

  • @suh1289 Lol! Math is a horrific experience for most kids, but I read the book and it seems so logical, simple and actually exciting! I never thought I would say this about my worst school subject :math. All children-from infants and up - that I have shown flash cards enjoyed it. My nephew is a few months old and he always cracks up and gets all excited with flashcards.

  • You can't compare people with dogs beacous dogs don't destroy ther world with atomick wars and capitalistc industry. In fackt people are worse than dogs beacous dogs don't have monny.

  • Glenn Doman has worked with brain injured children to conclude that there' s an optimum time for brains to learn therefore grow particular neuron pathways into super highways. Realising this Doman applies it to non brain damaged children with this kind of result.

It makes sense that we can firstly understand the number grouping of objects rather than the figurative symbol for the number of objects.

That is better to understand that * * * * * is five before understanding the symbol for 5.

  • That kid is not a genius, just a random baby that can memorize stuff.

    As any other regular baby.

  • whats up with treating him like a dog and giving him a chocolate at the beginning

  • because children are dogs, that eventually learn to speak. Positive reinforcement works on people just as much as dogs. Look at the MMO industry. making millions on treating people like dogs. New shiny epic for you! now pay us! people are so predictable.

  • @prrsnikety So what are you dipshit? A god?

  • children at such age should be let running around and have fun. come on.. that kid doesn't look like he can even walk properly.

  • I'd be interested to see the cards presented in a way that eliminates or at least minimizes the opportunity for the parent to give conscious or unconscious cues.

  • all you did was repeat that over and over again till he pointed to the right side each time, I bet if you switched the car around he'd still get it wrong.

  • My 5 year old has officially started algebra as of last wee. What a dynamic individual he is. Go Home schoolers!

  • @8av8today Yeah, go home schoolers! I can't wait until your socially awkward kids to go out into the real world and realize they aren't the special little entitled darlings you made them think they were.

I also can't wait for them to snap one day because they have no real basis for how to interact with large groups of people, and will feel like outcasts among the general populace.

But you keep telling yourself that what you're doing to fuck with your kids' heads is "right".

  • @chug20 Please don't hate bud. My 7 year old will mop the floor with you on algebra and geometry and then go back to playing Wii with his buddies. Your opinion is singular and less common at it's best. The fact is that people like you fear children who will succeed yours because their parents wanted the best and did not settle for the meager education offered by the school system you feel comfortable with. If you have nothing nice to say about children, don't say anything at all. Hater!

  • @8av8today I'm sorry but Home schoolers are socially deprived and are the most awkward people in the world. I would never Home school my kid.

  • @davethedrummer1 Hey bud that's your opinion. BTW it is not wise to speak without knowing all the details. MY children attend a Montesssori School where they are schooled 3 days a week by "normal teachers" and 2 days home schooled by my "retired UCLA professor" mother in law. My wife was home schooled and so were her brothers. None have social issues and are perfectly normal productive well achieved human beings all with Science degrees under their belts. How is that "Awkward"?

  • babies can do math as young as 6 months old- harvard has done a study on it. any kid can do it- unless defects hinder.

  • Looks like the Clever Hans Effect is indeed the most plausible explanation. It is critically important that parents who are interested in offering a real educational advantage to their kids educate themselves on these kinds of scam programs, as well as the dangers of delusional thinking.

  • Clever Hans there is following non-verbal cues from his mother than the camera doesn't see (eye movement perhaps). She needs to see a psychiatrist to tell why she needs to deceive herself in this way.

  • people with autism are able to do this too, but this one doesnt seem to have autism. he is one in a billion

  • any child can do this actually.. u just have to get the card, and teach them young, you can get those cards.. i think these are glen doman cards.. i have shichida cards..

  • why hot-house your son? sight recognition is easier than actual counting!

  • There's a difference between a genious and a calculator.

  • pretty impressive, but this seems more a representation of photographic memory than actual ability to count. the composition of the dots on each paper are just as significant to recognize if not moreso than counting, and even i would have an easier time memorizing them rather than counting each one on each card. to measure your child's true knowledge and ability to "count", you would need to use flashcards with different variations of dots representing one number.

  • there's actually a procedure where you blurt out an equation and the child will be able to compute it, and then point to the correct cards.. eventually as they grow older and the calculation exceeds 100.. they will verbally respond the answer..

after the red cards, then they move on to different types of variety of cards.. like u mention.. this is just the beginning of the program

  • Just 2 edited examples? hmm....

  • that's good, maybe you should ask whats on the left hand, or try to put #12 on the left hand.

  • was einstain a musician, nooooo you loser, wahahhahah kkkkk wkakakakaka. and playin a stupid piano has nothing to do hit genius. see if you know somthing that don't mean your a genius. if you read a book that has nothing to do with genuis, that is knowing. and knowing and genuis are not the same. kapish

  • very cool

i wish you would post more videos

there are tons of silly people on youtube

    keep up the good work

  • i dont know, ill have to test one of these kids my self, make sure its no trickery, like the larger one always on the right or something.....training instead of teaching.......its hard enough for a adult to see the difference between 99 and 98 dots....but if it is true, that child is genius

  • It's cool seeing parents do this! Glad you aren't one of the many who think those ridiculous baby Einstein videos stimulate childrens' minds..

  • Comment removed

  • That's because of YOU and giving her attention, it has nothing to do with baby Einstein, I promise. In fact, if she hadn't watched the videos, she'd probably be doing more. My recommendation? Watch the original Fantasia on VHS. (Not the DVD version...) I believe things like that are what make kids smarter. I watched it every day growing up and I grew up a music "prodigy"..(obviously I'm not anymore, some things happened and I stopped music a decade ago).

  • Comment removed

  • i will have alook at the Fantasia vid though thanks! she does have a very keen interest in all music and instruments. she has always been a fantastic dancer (i mean rythem and her style)

  • i made a comment relating to my baby girl being somewhat of a genious in some areas due to what i thought was 'baby einstein' videos but in fact i had the titles mixed up; therefore my appologies, i see your point now i look back.

  • im not very impressed...

  • very very smart little baby

  • I wouldnot push children to achieve and call then genius just because a child of older generaion didnot achieve at that age.

Last weekend i his father noticed that his son about few a month old when he see a paper he want to hod and look, but when he got his father's drum ,he started banking on it with his hands. But when he was given a guitar,he stated playing with the strings. That means he observes day after day what his father does and try to repeat.A very clever boy but dont make him genius.

  • he's being trained to be a genius...but you talk to him like he's still a baby =\

  • Babies react to the tone of voice. Go up to a baby and growl at him, he'll likely cry. When she does that high tone voice, the baby recognizes it as a good thing, thereby, what he did he sees as something that mommy likes.

  • okay...that makes more sense now :) thanks

  • It works with all humans, of all ages. If you go up to and growl at an adult, they would probably not be as willing learn something, unless a different tone. Babies work basiclly the same way. HammandClow, is right about this.

  • ummm...because he IS a baby

  • Well, if you read biographies of most child geniuses today, you'll notice 2 big consistencies... 1) They all are accomplished pianists, and 2) They were all given very large amounts of nurturing lol...so...talking to your child like one of your students is going to hurt them, not help them.

  • was william sidis a pianist, i dont believe so......or marylan von sanvant....well she might be

  • Were you asking a question? Use a question mark..I have to actually try to understand you lol...

Anyway, obviously not 100% of geniuses are pianists. I was pointing out nearly all child geniuses today are accomplished musicians, usually pianists.

  • Sorry! Was William sidis a pianist? I dont come equipped with the patience to spell or put the proper symbols at the end of my sentences on anything other then a resume or a thesis paper im writing for class....im sorry about that......but i was just asking.......i know who they are but i dont know if sidis or savant have musicle talents..(sorry, im a genius who cant spell)

  • Anthony is a mullato

  • And? You're a jerk, so what about it.

  • neuronal*

  • u told him always to point right , cuz this is bs even some smart ass professor never can count that fast - BULLSHIT

  • they don't have to count it if they see it enough. babies (and chimps) can see very tiny differences in things. it's FANTASTIC for neurnal development.

  • so he looks up at you the whole time then looks at the card for 2 seconds then points to one..nice try but you would have to be a moron to believe this

  • He could do that because all those flashcards had a different layout of dots. Children are more perceptive and they only see distinct pictures and are able to name them. There's no math behind this.

  • Actually you are supposed to turn the card and hold it in different directions so the child will not know just the pattern. You can even make 10 different cards with different patterns and they still know it.

  • I don't know. Maybe the perception and comprehension of small children in general goes far beyond the understanding of us, the adults and we're only looking down on them because child won't fit our own idea of someone with much bigger learning potential and abilities than grown-up.

  • yea

  • He doesnt even count them

  • u show him da number 18 but he's pretty good to identify 18

  • I noticed that your child picks the one closest to him.

  • omgg

    people

    do you have children,

I bet they were thrilled when their child could do that,

    stop bringing them down mann

you would be proud if your 13 month old baby could count to 18

so stop telling them it's wrong

    Jesus,

    Really cute baby btw :D

    xx

  • Where are all the outakes he got wrong?

I don't doubt babies could do some form of calculation or counting with the right training. Not totally convinced with this demonstration though.

  • hahahaahahahah all the outakes ahhahaha

  • i think they are putting peanut butter on the card with the right answer on it and shocking the baby with 10,000 volts when he picks the wrong one.

  • my god...he can count all the way to 18

  • This is just another variant of facilitated communication, which has effectively been shown to be bogus. In reality it is the facilitators doing the math, and NOT the babies. The babies just learn to pick up subtle cues from their parents, like holding the right card just a wee bit closer, glancing at the card, or moving it in a telling way. It is sad that the parents are deluding themselves into thinking that their babies are math geniuses, when they most likely can't even do basic addition.

  • Exactly! How about a normal childhood? This kinda of crazy charlatanry is unhealthy for the poor child

  • This is sooo daaaamn stupid! Of course he'd want to reach anything moving in front of him, he's a baby! And... c'mon... is 50-50!

No one could "count" as fast as that.

STUPID "PROGRAM"! PIAGET WOULD BE MAD AT YOU!

  • What program is this? Is it really a learning program?

  • One, from the video you put the correct one in the same hand each time. Perhaps your own psychology is what he is learning. Even if you arent putting the correct one in the same hand each time, he may just be learning to read your body language and not the cards themselves. Suppose he is reading the cards, is he actually counting at the speed of light? Or is he merely recognizing the overall shape and pattern? Out of the 100 numbers you are working up to, you test two cards at a time, 50/50 odds

  • he gets it right cause he always chooses the right one and you put 12 for example on the right and ask him which one to choose...hahaha

  • that doesn't mean anything, you cant make the judgment based on two examples.

  • thats a little rediculous..

  • But (even though there were only 2 examples) both times the woman held the correct card in her RIGHT hand...So maybe he's been taught just to point at that hand.

    just a theory

  • not convinced

  • wow i hope this is not a fool

  • Oh for fuck sake! He's a BABYYYYY!!! Leave him the fuck alone. One year olds don't want to do maths =|

  • he looks at her she tells him!!!

  • This is a good point, she could be giving off a unintentional hint to the correct answer.

Can anyone else hold the cards? Can he pick it out of 3 cards?

  • yes, and the card she wants is the one always on her right hand.....

  • OK people, if this video were the only example of such things, I'd be pretty suspicious too. Maybe somebody's standing behind mommy and pointing to the right card. Maybe he always points to the left, so she puts the right card there and then tries to tell us, "Oh see how bright he is!"

But this video isn't the only example. There are hundreds of these kids. The baby is doing exactly what is claimed. Hundreds of babies do, so why assume that this one, out of all of them, somehow is not?

  • the fact is that babies learn faster and have a really good memory that is why he learns how many dots each paper has, but what the mother is trying to do is trying to make him the next albert einstein which is impossible he might be bright when he group up or he might be not. she is trying to predict human behavior which is affected by many variables and einstein mother did not do this and his child became a genuis so in my opinion she is wasting her money and time.

  • Interesting fact here... you don't see the person's face who is holding the card or anything behind them. Babies can be led to do anything because they are very reactionary and not able to fully funtion as this video suggests!

  • good thinking!!!!!!!!!

  • that does not mean he will grow to be a genius babies learn faster that's for sure but show us a video when he is 7 years old doing the riemann zeta function then i will believe you.

  • and it just so happens that he always points to the left.

  • aaaagh, absolutism at such an early age, oh whatta world, he's fucked for life and will never attain nirvana!

  • they say this is the way prenumeric humans could keep up with the numbers of their flocks. they knew by looking, and could recognize large numbers just by sight.

It will be interesting to see what sort of use this has in the modern world. keep us posted.

  • stoping hating people and give the baby the credit. for crying out loud its a innocent baby, he doesnt deserve this criticism, blame his mum.. lol

  • ye erm, i think he could know that, but it's bit of a coincidence that both cards that were the correct answer were in her right hand and he got them both right first time...

  • i think that they told him which one to pick prior to asking him..

  • i think the baby memorize the pattern of the dots. that's why he can tell which is which. just an opinion.

  • bluesadclown -

He seen the patterns 15 times in his life .

You think he remembers the pattern ?

    GOOD WORK ANTHONY.

  • If he can memorize two patterns like that (more like a score of them), that's as amazing as what is claimed. In fact, what is being claimed seems more reasonable.

  • THATS SO CUTE!! GOOD JOB ANTHONY!

  • Glenn Doman also published the books for babay's reading, encylopedic knowledge, swimming, how to evaluate baby's intelligence with Janet Doman and Douglas Doman. It is amazing what they do.

  • he pointed to the left both times also he had a 50% chance both times if i didnt have a clue what you were talking about if i was lucky i could get it right both times aswell

  • this might be a setup the probability of getting the right answer is too high........

  • notice both right answers were the card on the far side.....

  • That's an amazing skill - to be able to look at a random assortment of dots and know how many there are.

  • Wow! Good job, Anthony - and mom/aunt!

  • what program is this?? I want my kid on it!!

  • The program is "How To Teach Your Baby Math", a book written by Glenn Doman. You have to start it before your child is about 2 1/2. I have been doing it with my nephew (above) and my son, who just turned 2 1/2, and it is a lot of fun and very easy. I am going to be making a documentary of how to do it, but since we just started, it's obviously not finished yet. But you can purchase the book on Amazon for about $10. Good luck!

  • Glenn Doman also published the books for baby's reading, encyclopedic knowledge, swimming, how to evaluate baby's intelligence with Janet Doman and Douglas Doman. The Institutes for the achievement Human Potential holds courses. It is amazing what kids can do. My son did this program and by 4 years old, he was reading Hardy Boys, by 6 he read Time magazines and many high level books. He is a math wiz.
