I don't know about rotors fliying I do know the flywheel can become a flying saw disk, I have seen and heard of a couple people losing a leg, also some getting killed, but never of a rotor leaving the engine that's a first for me
A guy put a hotted up rotor in his van (so the engine was directly under him).
He was showing off at the traffic lights, reving the cunt to 16,000rpm when one of the rotor shot straight up out of the block and killed the poor bastard.
I love rotaries. They don't wear well but they rev and make good power.. I used to install cruise aftermarket controls on RX-7's for a Dallas dealer back in the day. It was required to test them. One guy brought a turbo'd one in for this with 3000 miles and insisted to ride during the test. None theless he had me take it to 130, to make sure the cruise would work. Boost was hitting 12-14 PSI.. sweet little car. smooooth..
ARR016a-rotarys do have headers. rotary engines dont have cams. so when your reading about rotarys you dont see DOHC or SOHC. cause there is no cam. ive just put new headers on my 05 rx8.
lol, its called launch control, ignition cut, notice the engine cutting out? excess amounts of fuel gathered under the car, or the ECM cut too much spark etc etc... happens all of the time, the diff didnt blow up, even so, oil isn't that flammable people.
how did you speak to the driver? cause this took place in puerto rico and your definately not hispanic. i, unlike u, met the driver and he dosent even speak engish.. anormal bruto. tu no sabes na!
lol i agree with 18t..plus he has it perihpial ported its gonna back fire like that wether that guy wants it to or not,i have stock ports in mine and mine does it sometimes, just WAY WAY smaller

Yeah was just thinking that haha, one thing about rota's when they go.. its spectacular. Nothing like 10,000rpm of spinning rotor disintegrating to mess up ur evening
...is it dead?

Rotors can fly out. True story:
A guy put a hotted up rotor in his van (so the engine was directly under him).
He was showing off at the traffic lights, reving the cunt to 16,000rpm when one of the rotor shot straight up out of the block and killed the poor bastard.

rotarys are so a mean and have so much potential its just too bad that the japs used the idea
enzostuk 2 years ago
Japs are the best out there on perfection...NO american company or europeans....

dame, your dim
enzostuk 2 years ago
well if a euro car comp did it it would cost 20 times more,
and if american did it it wouldn't run,
so considering those options id say its a good thing they did it,

10k rpm ...broke the rear end than oil from the damage started leakin right away causing the flames from the headers make that big fireball

what do they have then?

im assuming since they dont have heads, maybe exhaust manifolds?..lol.

Catastrophic failure......NOS backfire bad. Weak rear differential, bad also.
Add those two together, well you do the math.
Thankfully he had a wonderful engine that could handle the high revs.

The diff is gone......The 13b is alive..Those flames are from the nitrous and the rev limiter..
eflecha 3 years ago 9
nope actually the diff let go, and the flames from the exhaust ignited all the oil coming from the diff
