you could install this thing called gyrator where u can rotate the screen anytime and type in landscape mode

no, there is no landscape keyboard on this phone

yes, there is a landscape mode, but it can only be used on some applications which stinks. =(

Great video! Text input is always one of my main concerns with devices. I almost made the mistake of buying the regular Touch before I found out how horribly small their keypad was!

It's a shame the orientation can't change, I'm sure that would greatly improve the QWERTY keypad.

In all ways that I can figure, the Diamond does. It has 4x the pixel count (VGA vs. QVGA) and it seems to require less pressure to notice an intended input.

For Sprint, the Touch Diamond has came out, and is $249.99 after instant savings and mail in rebate. The Touch Pro will come out around October 19, and will cost $299.99 after instant savings and mail in rebate.

Could you please double check if you can enter text in landscape mode? I read on the user's manual online on page 55 that,

"• When in landscape mode, Compact QWERTY and the Phone keypad are not available."

What I did with my HTC Touch was I set the side button key when pressed and held that it would rotate the screen. It is possible to to that with the original Touch. Can you check if this can be done with the Touch Diamond? Thank you.

I no longer have the Sprint Touch Diamond to test, but my regular Touch Diamond has no screen rotate support at all. I do not believe the Sprint version does either, as TouchFLO 3D on the Diamond does not support landscape mode - that is something HTC reserved for the Touch Pro.

Thanks! This makes the instinct look like my 2-month old son's toy! I love the phone! I didn't want to get the HTC pro cause of how thick it was. I can live with that text style, I'm a accounting major at one of the most elite business schools in america so it helps to look the part! Thanks MOBILE BURN!!
