Living in Canada, where - with all due respect - the general mindset on this and many topics is far different than that of our neighbors to the south, I've always found this rather bizzarre. "Sexual content," ranging from discussion to depictions, is major taboo that "WILL warp the viewer's mind," yet insanely rampant violence is ok??

I have the same issue, but they're blocking all my videos, even one's that aren't mine. Wondering if you have solved the dilemma, yet? Also, I noticed they work fine when you switch your profile format over to BETA... Maybe, that's what they're trying to get us to do?

If you or the owner has set the video to no embed, then you can't play it on your channel page...it's considered an embedding. Otherwise it may actually be a regional thing. YT is getting weird about selling itself to areas around the world that mandate censorship. Apparently YT is willing to censor anything for a price.

If it's your video, you can uncheck the do not embed and allow embedding. If it's someone elses video and they have not allowed embedding nothing you can do.

This is a result of the "featured" video having "Embedding disabled by request"

The solution is to contact "WackaDoodleFreeZone", the owner of the video, and have embedding enabled on the video. Then the error message here will go away.

The age/country block is the result of the fact that your featured video you have chosen has embedding disabled. Your featured video is an "embed" so the system is complying to the wishes of the owner and prevents it from being played in an embed. The error should probably be improved to include this...

I am able to click on the link provided in the video description and the video plays. However when I go to your channel page Tim, I get the following message "We are unable to show you the original featured video for this channel due to age or location restrictions." Okay, Tim, this is wacko. I saw Peggy's vid when she posted it. I went to your channel now and I got that age / location error. Followed your link to her vid and it plays fine.

So on the other computer, NOT logged in to YT, I went to your channel, same error. Went direct to Peggy's channel. The vid plays fine.

There is NO reason that a vid that's not age or location restricted in The U.S. should be restricted from viewing on your channel in the U.S.

I think this is just a bug or a half-finished feature, it has hit a very large number of channels including mine, and covering just about every possible combination of topic, age, location etc. I suppose it'll be fixed in a little while, but they'll break something else at the same time. Whatever they're trying to do might maybe end up being useful when it finally works, who knows.

Yes I have the video featured on my channel.  If you can see THAT video then you are not restricted. THIS video is the "alternative" video I can have play should you not be able to see the original. It's all very strange to me and I don't understand why/what YouTube is doing here by this action.
