  • Two super nice guys, what a treat. Thank you.

  • it just doesn't make sense......explain it like I'm a 5-year-old.

  • Yummy, thanks!

  • Garfunkel is an unsung song master

  • So beautiful! Brings tears of gratitude and appreciation to my eyes.

  • WOW

  • Great cover of a Carol King song!

  • How ironic !!

Twin towers in back while crying in the rain!!

  • Looks like before 2001 as the twin towers are in the background.

  • @bdtheqb Stunning observation there !

Filmed somewhere in Brooklyn on the East River ? Anyone know this place ?

  • Perfect!

  • Personally I rather first drive a Ferrari then a Lamborgini, not pull the Lamborgini while driving a Ferrari. These two are too good to mix, they should be heard seperately.

Even Pavarotti/Barry White combo, 2 of best, didn't quite work.

  • Art could blend with a bucket of barbed wire. Taylor has the most pitch perfect voice in the last 50 years.

  • Wow...what two classic voices hitting it together.

  • i would class this as a pretty classic video...two of the greatest musical influences in modern times ..thanks for sharing

  • love how they sound in unison

  • This is lie watching 2 archangels singing

  • I can tell this was before 2011 because they're still two balding guys in baseball caps! These guys used to have serious hair. I am proud of them for having come to "own the bald" since this video was made.

  • Awesome voice

  • I can tell this is before 9-11-2001 because the Twin Towers are in the background. BTW...James and Art are quite a duo. They could make some money together.

  • bravissimi.....

  • The singing is amazing and immortal. It's a heart-breaker to see the Towers in the background.

  • QUE VERSION, QUE VOCALISTAS Y QUE ESCENARIO ...SENCILLAMENTE ESPECTACULAR

  • Yeah...

Very nice, two guys that I respect

  • Art Garfunkel is the king of harmony!

  • picardische terts! yeah!

  • yes, this was on Ellis Island in 1996, as part of the "Across America" album release, as stated by @r0ckar00...

  • Can't be in NYC if the world trade center is in the background. Looks like it was done in NJ.

  • @r0ckar00 It's on Ellis Island. This video is on a live album of Artie, "Across America", which toke place in Ellis Island.

  • @r0ckar00 New York City is more than just Manhattan Island, my friend. This was shot from the borough of Queens, across the East River from Manhattan.

  • Get duet - great song!

  • In the original version, you hear more of Art than James, but they're both still epic. A very beautiful song and the message is just as wonderful.

  • Awesome, beautifully sung , they sing so good together. Long live JAMES TAYLOR.

  • To clear up the year, this performance was recorded for Art Garfunkel's live album 'Across America' in 1996.

  • Wish I could hear a whole album of the two of them ... voices really meld well. Thank you for posting!

  • Great song, thank you for sharin'

  • This is great but I believe it was 1990's not 84. But what a beautiful rendition.

  • 1984 Art Garfunkel Sings for America. Those passersby in Liberty Park seem truly unaware of who those two panhandlers are: James could have left his case open and made a couple of bucks! Didn't know JT was playing the Olson as early as '84.

    Great posting, Thank you.

  • @alexeyre I know! I kept wanting to yell at the people in the background, "Hey! 2 living legends singing here! Get a clue!"
