Uh...the Karma attack has nothing to do with your defense stat or armor. It's based on the number of monster you (The one who get attacked) have killed *100 e.g. 999 monster = 99900 damage, and so on.

So the fastest way is picking your main hitter, set him on stoic, the others on Comrade, equip necessary weapon and slash the don for massive amount of AP. The lower HP the hitter has, the faster AP you may gain. With a character with 9999hp or <<, the whole team can probably gain 99.Slv ~1min.

The better way is to set everyone's overdrive mode to Comrade and have armor with Auto-Phoenix for everyone. Keep letting it kill you over and over and then after awhile run away. You'll get the same experience without having to actually kill it.

cuz my characters are noob, I CAN'T BEAT HIM! Well one time, I used rikku's mix to get everybody hit 9999, then I used Lulu's firefury to get more than 12 hits, 9999 x 12-15, lot of damage, the bad thing about this is that you lose your overdrives!

heres another good AP method although it takes more time and effort to set up get ure strongest person with "break damage limit" and "overdrive to ap" ... and if you can "double ap" set to overdrive charge "warrior" and everyone else on comrade then fight either Don tonberry or anything with a damaging counter attack warrior charges overdrive alot quicker giving you alot more ap :) yes i did say alot more effort

i used to fight the cactuar king instead of tonberry, he stays needling you to death for ages (sometimes he flees early) with 10'000 needles and 99'999needles, i got a full 99 sphere levels on many occasions :)

this is the only way to go about things if you want to fill the sphere grid

As in you didnt get the ability or you dont know how it works?

Anyway,the way it works is,when the ability is active,depending what overdrive mode your in,if an instance occurs when your overdrive meter is supposed to fill,its disregarded and AP is received instead. For example,if your in Stoic mode,where the overdrive bar fills from damage,the damage you receive will,nstead of goin to your overdrive bar,be converted to AP! You get me?

You can manipulate how much damage the tonberry does through killing more monsters :P and oh yea there is also another way to gain exp (not as quick as this but it is doable if you dont have don tonberry. practicley do the same thing with the weapons but sett it so that his overdrive charges when its his turn. Then take a moderatley strong enemy kill of your 2 allies haste the character you wanna train and slow the enmy. this way you get i think 15 turns for every 1 enemy turn ;)

I used to have an own idea on a leveling system.

The system lets you mark which Stats you want to level up, so for example if you mark Strength then that stat will gain levels as you fight.

You start with one marker, and after about 10-15 levels you get another marker, so you can level up two stats at the same time.

I think this system could work pretty well, and probably be pretty enjoyable as well.

Also, Don Tonberry hits you for the amount of Fiends that Character has killed so say, Kimahri killed 100 Fiends.

100 x 100 = 10000

So 10,000 converted into AP is what everyone gets in AP.

Your doing it wrong, I prefer this method -

Everyone using Overdrive->AP, Double/Triple AP and Overdrive and one of the others with Auto-Phoenix, and if your attacker has Auto-Haste you'll get a considerable more AP thann you would otherwise.

This is how it works.

Tidus attacks, Gets hit for 99,999.

??? uses Phoenix Down thanks to Auto-Phoenix,

Tidus attacks again and the cycle repeats.

I usually earn 150,000AP + without Double/Triple AP/Overdrive.

Triple Overdrive: 30 Winning Formulas (get 15 by bribing Sand Worm 900,000 gil or get 99 or sumthing by catching every monster possible)

Overdrive->AP: 10 Doors to Tommorow (bribe mech leader $74000, theres alot in Mt. Gagazet, for 2 or get 99 by catching 1 of every fiend in 6 areas.

Don Tonberry: Unlock by catching all friends in Sunken Cave/Cavern of Fayth.

After Calm lands/ north of the arena, where you fought the big machine boss when you arrive in the area. in that area go down the slope and into another area. in the new area you will be in the sunken cave area.

That is the Cavern of the Stolen Faith and is s on the way to MT Gagazet. When you leave the Calm Lands right before Mt Gagazet you will see a entrance down into the Cave. You won't miss it.

Even with MAX HP you can still get ~2,000,000 AP in a single fight what is already 99 UD.

I get 92,000,000 AP while erasing all 200 HP spheres for put 300 HP ones, then I had to remove all HP spheres.

That's about ~2,000,000 AP, but you can sky rocket it.

Main player (and the other ones too) charge his overdrive by the amount of damage taken/max HP

so if you fall Max HP to hard low cap by erasing all HP Spheres, you'll charge AP about 50 times faster (cause you'll have 50 times less HP)

And that's how you can have 92,000,000 AP in a single fight, pretty useless btw, cause you have to remove all HP spheres and over 1,200,000 AP is already useless.

One (or both) of the other two players will have to have protection with "auto-lazaro" that thing that instantly uses an item to raise a K.O. player. This players will have to have overdrive charge mode by charging when other player is hitted, you know.

All players with weapons with overdrive -> AP, Triple Overdrive and APx3.

Main player always hitting Don Tonberi, other ones casting haste on main player.

Just with that you'll be able to get 99 in a single fight.

Don Tomberi deals 100 damage for each monster the player who attacked him killed in all the game, so you'll need one player had kill at least 1,000 monsters so Don Tonberi deals him max damage (99,999). I'm talking when Don Tomberi is still away and he use special counter-attack.

That player will be main player, the one that will only attack over and over again. Overdrive Charge mode will have to be set on whatever charges when get hitted (I don't know the name in english)

easiest and the most effective way is, follow the story line to zanarkand, and then try to get celestrial weapons before going to capture all the fiends all over sphere with Air Ship except Omega Ruin and Inside Sin. and then train with Tonberry before King Cactuar. 130 hrs game play will be enough to MAX out your characters as well as everything that you need to do in the game. you will have nothing to do but to defeat Penance after 130 hrs. XD

well, you need lots of gil for that.

you will get around 10 of them if you paid around 1.1 M gil to Sand Worm in calm land arena. OR

Th`uban and Ulitma Buster will drop Triple AP, Triple Overdrive and Overdrive>AP weapons if you are lucky.

you will get enough items to customise for 3 characters if you captured all fiends anyway.

You gotta catch all the tonberrys, from sunken temple and the master tonberry, 1 of each at least, He would work, but he doesnt do enough damage.. the more damage the more AP you get, since you put yourself to comrade / stoic you will get overdrive, which is turned to AP in this case :)

You get Anima from Baaj Temple, Sunken Temple is the one right after calm lands, if you cross the first bridge but instead of going to Mt. Gagazet you go down.. And there you got it, Good luck ^^

maybe, you were lucky to get 10 in short time unlike others. i played FFX 8 times with over 1000 hrs. spending time on Tonberry is always depending on luck. 2 hrs is avgerage for 10. you could find 4 in 30 mins sometime.

you can get triple AP weapon after beating One eye in clam land arena. i got that weapon for each character. i trained with king cactuar because it is the best way. you could have gained level over 70 in one fight if you have triple overdrive. don`t attack him but defend and help your team until he run away. i still having over 20 lvl although i went around the grid Twice.

you will get all those necessary items for at least 3 characters by unlocking monsters in arena. try to find and capture the monsters. forget about the rest. you need to worry about Breah HP limit though.

you need 30 x wings to discover which you can have them by opening 3 chests and win the chocobo race in Ramien Temple in calm land. Or bribe Marlboro for 135,000 Gil for a few of them in calm land arena. the best thing is, use zamato and beat dark yojimbo in the sunken cave. paid 100,000 Gil. yojimbo will use his zamato and see if you got BHPL and Ribbon with two empty slots. if not, reload the game again and again which i did. be patient. you need auron in your party with first strike wepon.

You need 10 "Door to Tomorrow" for that. It works even better when you couple a "double" effect with the two "triples." Just get the double before it's own triple, or it won't stick.
