I think when people start to take a 'label' that they've given to a certain something (even widely accepted meanings and definitions), and go from that foundation they've built, to form OTHER hypothesis and understandings of social dynamics, they tend to lose sight of the original meaning. It almost evolves to fit perfectly into their own puzzle.
We tend to never flip back to the beginning to make sure that that meaning, that "label" was ever correct to begin with.
before i saw your video, i agreed with you that we are only doing things for aur selfs. But i am doubting now. Also we are a cooperation of cells.
All the cells are only looking for them selfes. I am not an individual cell, i am alreaddy an cooperation. And in a group we are not a pearson but a group. And the groep is selfish.
There is only a reason why we are not selfless ore selfish; we dont make the choise. It just happens. We act like an human becouse we are humans. That is no choise.illus
Despite one's interests to interact & support others, that person still helps him/herself. Both parties (giver & reciever) benefit in various ways- ie: emotionally, materialistically, morally, etc.
It's only difficult to grasp because simplification is required. To deduce. Keep asking "why?" to a particular matter involving social interaction & you'll eventually learn what Jasper digs.
would you consider "love" also being a form of "filling" the ego gaps?
now that word can be differently applied to many different people, but the basis of that word is that you do very willingly things for the other person without expecting something in return.what's your view?
You look like a typical new Yorker in this video...wow...Is that like, your Philosophical corner? You're always in the corner in your videos! lmfao. I swear, you're the next big thing to hit the human race in the face. Name? Avi. Cause? Dominating the minds of troubled beings, one youtube video at a time..
Pretty much everything VenonFangX says is idiotic. If he ever comes up with an intelligent opinion, I hope he's not the one publicizing it because no one's ever going to listen to him.
As far as I could tell you were not arguing for the commonly accepted view that social interaction is developed through incessant interaction coupled with the realization of it as a necessity. The same way empathy is developed.
If you have a trait that allows for you to be successful REGARDLESS of cooperation and teamwork, then that takes a back seat to that trait's efficiency. However, humans have a trait (intelligence) that is useful ONLY when used in unison with other intelligent beings. Thus, that became a necessity and the rest is history.
I might refute that just because even if there were no other human beings conceptual intelligence with access to concepts like time are useful for setting traps to catch (future) prey or potential predators.
But then i realize im just refuting a point to refute it?
This has gotten off of the meat of the message i was getting at in the original clip.
The point is that the consciousness is not really altering or changing, it just has more to work with because of the availability of data built up and collected over time.
Furthermore, "conceptual intelligence", I'm not even entirely sure that's something worth noting. Without the capacity to utilize intellects in connection with one another, there would be far too many missing pieces in the puzzle, as well as the inability to retain information over time and have it explained.
"The point is that the consciousness is not really altering or changing, it just has more to work with because of the availability of data built up and collected over time."
maybe its the limitation of words, but this seems contradictory, for something to even work it has to move or alter in some way, even if slightly, so it is changing.
and for the second part of your statement I'm not sure what to do with that, I don't what you're getting at.

The world view doesn't necessisarily conform to "god" its just a conforming absolutististic ethnocentric world view.
you could replace it with "dad" or "teacher" or "boss" etc. its deeper than religion, its innately human and might never touch religion.
But think of it this way at some point you "conformed" to the group you understood ethics without rational backing.
Mathfails 2 years ago
Thats the worldview i was pointing at, the data out there by dozens of developlemtal psychologists is too hard for me to ignore anymore.
Mathfails 2 years ago
And the idea isn't transcend and exclude or revoke, but transcend and include or become more complex.
You have misrepresented (although i don't believe intentionally) the positions i tend to spew forth)

In a very loose sense, you can look at Jane Luvingers work i believe and she talks about empathy or compassion growing in depth etc.
I'll need to look to her work again myself...it wouldn't hurt.
Mathfails 2 years ago
You also talk about the "bigger and the badder"
Although its true that there are animals with more strength than us and other attributes like physcial speed etc, we posses a greater intelligence.
Namely conceptual intelligence that helps us get the advantange. Now cognitive intelligence should not be confused with the underlying world views.
Example you can have a brilliant doctor...hes just a Nazi doctor...whoops ethnocentric center of gravity or world view! see it yet?
Mathfails 2 years ago
That's part of my point.
Intelligence is useful as a tool ONLY when utilized in cooperation with others who are intelligent as well.
Speed is speed, regardless of how many antelope are running together.
JasperAvi 2 years ago
Sorry this is very ambiguous to me, care to give me another pointer?
I don't really understand your point, is it merely that intelligence is a tool? a tool for man? a tool for what?
i need more context i think so i can understand where you are coming from brother.
Mathfails 2 years ago
Sorry, allow me to clarify.
If you have a trait that allows for you to be successful REGARDLESS of cooperation and teamwork, then that takes a back seat to that trait's efficiency. which was namely world views or 'structures of consciousness'
and that these world views complexify and adapt to their environment over time in individuals and cultures.
