  • ugh i need to get to bed but this show is so interesting!!!

  • I can understand this superstitious rebounding fairly well, as it follows something bad (usually catastrophic).

  • Robert Koch is the most under appreciated scientist of all time.

  • 2:34-3:30 cracks me up every time.

  • 6:27-6:32 cracks me up everytime. i seriously watch that part an die laughing at least 10 times a week.

  • And don't pick on chakras, Avatar The Last Airbender proved they are real!

  • @dragonfiremalus

    and Naruto

*gasp* 2 sources!! this must be true then!

quick, call the academy of science, i'll get the press!

  • the one thing that can be said for meditation is that it can reduce stress, lower blood pressure, and help relaxation. This can help with health. But it is just as effective to take some time to relax on a regular basis and leave the spiritual stuff out in the rain. You don't need to pay money. And as for actually healing anything, not really. Just help be a little more healthy.

  • 1:27 that head massage thingy may not be useful in medicine, but it feels sooooooo goooooood!

  • i worked with this amazing woman over the last 3 years and i can honestly say she helped me transform my life BIG TIME! I dont where to begin to say how and why blah blah, yet i can say as bonkers as it sounds what she does actually actually works, for me it worked within a weekend, yet if you re reading and hearing her just with your rational mind im not surprised you ll read her as mental, listen to her with yr inner ears, she s ace and im grateful to her eternally :-)

  • ATLANTIS?WHAT THE FUCK?

  • Is that the Darth Maul music in the inbetween street cene after the woman?

  • Why are these people typically so ugly? It almost looks like their brains are as messed up as their faces.

  • Here's my deal. I believe in chi. I know that I don't know much about it, and that I'm gonna keep my fucking mouth shut about it until I can get some god damn evidence for it. Before that, I know it's just a belief, and that I shouldn't try to convince others about it.

  • @TGGeko When you sat you believe in 'chi', what exact definition do you refer to?

I do love watching this section of the program with the odd atlantis woman.. always makes me laugh.. i cant see how ANYONE can take her seriously.. she looks a lil nutty... and what she talks... its unfathomable! be fair.. she waves her hands a lil and apparently shes 'topped' up his DNA... LOL!

  • "Irrational Belief," Talk about Irrational Costs! Dr. Dawkins, you need to come to America and go after the greedy drug companies and the greedy insurance companies.

  • Belief without evidence is the luxury of fools.

  • @pitbull103 amen.

  • The Atlantis experiment? *facepalm*

  • 3:08 - 3:14

    This had me in stitches...

    3:20 - 3:30

Oh, c'mon? That's just absolutely sickening...

  • @AlbinoCaterpillar Hahahahaha, so true! And this woman believes that she can alter the DNA structure! Mental help is needed immediately.

  • I have a Chiari malformation, which is rare. In a quest to find a diagnosis, I was forced to see many quacks like chiropractors, acupuncturists, etc simply because they have been successful in linking themselves to Primary cares because of the "lack of any risk" and the perceived effectiveness of things like acupuncture. What is going on is a number of people who have had a minor injury that would've gotten better anyways are being sent to alt docs as there is "no risk"(the aspect is always tou

  • Tempered a bit?. These people are not illustrative to anything except bandwagon jumpers. I think you think that Im supporting these shills, not quite. Unfortuantely if you dont think there is anything goin on with control of info, you either cant accept it or youre part of it.

  • Wait...did she really bring up atlantis???

  • 3:90 to 3:13 is hilarious haha

  • Was this program repeated last night (1st sept 2010) ? It isn't available on 4od so I have come here hoping it is the same

  • I had an experience with accupuncture. I had gone for weight loss, but that didn't work. Turned out I had hypothyroidism, which was preventing me from losing weight. But one day, I went for my appointment and had a head cold. My sinuses were totally blocked and I could not breathe through my nose. I mentioned this to the accupuncturist, and she put the needles in. After about 5 minutes, it was like the floodgates opened! I started coughing and blowing my nose, and my head was clear! Amazing!

  • @spikutus - I get the same effect from a double shot of Glenlivet whisky. Ahh, the power of the single malt! Maybe I should start a religion.

  • @trumpetuk111 I think that would be the Hitchens religion. haha

  • The " Judeo Christain Nation" notion that religious leaders have been pushing is the LIE. As Americans fall for this lie so do our libertiies as they get sold out to religious leaders who will hold our membership or lack of to their organization againt us.

This is the Legacy of Blasphomy Laws, Religious Requirements and oaths, and laws that use only religious standards to justify them.

Our founders did not want this burden put on people, and neither do I.

  • @Zunile03scape You have no idea what you're talking about. Do you realize that it was the Jews who invented the law and our judicial system? Every country is, in one way or another, influenced by Judeo Christian ideals.

    -

Regardless. All you have so far is "they make us say "so help me god".". So what? There has never been a case of a politician being denied tenure on the basis of his religious beliefs and none have complained about having to say "so help me god". They're just words...

  • The petals have awaken :))

  • @LoiteringWithIntent Not everything has to be proven with out a doubt to assume it works. But everything mentioned here has been proven not to work time and time again.

  • @urantivirus Yea fair enough, but there are things out there that arent researched enough properly, without prejudice. Dont forget that there are vested interests at stake for anything that works but cannot be controlled and given at a cost. You cant deny that. Im not syaing that its necessarily anyhting to do with the stuff in the videos because I find that there are too many people caught up in the idealsim of it rather than understanding the reality of it.

  • @LoiteringWithIntent But I dont think theres an attack on science, I think thats some idea of opposition he uses to justify funding and a slot on TV. The revolution is against the tyranny of institutions that want to control what we should know. But I dont know why they picked the nutboxes in the video, probably to make his side of the story sound more credible and noble, I dont know. But I wouldnt trust any of them either.

  • @LoiteringWithIntent Reality is an illusion brough on by lack of alcohol is as rational as a thinkg persons argument. Jokes are based on the irrational. Life is based on fact.

  • Comment removed

  • @LoiteringWithIntent so let me get this straight - you think it is better to say "magic" did it, or "no way we are ever gonna understand that so let's just do whatever the fuck feels good and we want"??? And in light of all the AMAZING progress we have done so far, you think it is somehow wrong to actually TEST if something works? Like "I have a fever, should I take tylenol or hop on one foot while praying?" And when you test and see tylenol reduces the fever, but hopping doesn't - thats bad??

  • @nybgrus Nope. You have completely the wrong idea.

  • @LoiteringWithIntent Because, quite frankly, pretty much everything can be rationalized. You just don't know what that actually means. Douchebag

  • @nybgrus Well that depends on if youre looking for the truth or just to satisfy the borderline of your limited understading and shut off from your fear. In terms of the latter, then yes. Dickpump.

  • @LoiteringWithIntent Dickpump... haven't heard that one before. Can't say I'll use it, but hey, whatever floats your boat. And I am looking for the truth. And I have no fear. But I can actually find the truth without saying "oooh... pretty lights... err... wait... soo mystical! No one can explain it but it works.... oooh... so non rational but definitely is true and works... there are those pretty lights again." haha...

  • @nybgrus I think you misunderstand. If you read the reply by the poster of this video to my first comment, that is exactly bang on.

  • @LoiteringWithIntent I have no read the original comments, and while tempered a bit, I would say I am still correct. Facts are applicable to life because it is logical. He picked these people because it is illustrative of exactly what we face in the world. You think those are fringe nuts and this sort of thing is not a threat to science? You're wrong. And this grand conspiracy bullshit of people trying to control this or that is not applicable here either.

  • @LoiteringWithIntent It is better to say "I don't know" rather than saying you know when you have nothing to back it up.

  • @LoiteringWithIntent there's an initial flaw in YOUR thinking, right there.

  • the problem is that those alternative things are great painkillers,

because pain is highly subjective, so if you think the pain is less,

it is less, than without the alternative thing,

of course if you try to use this on cancer,

    the argument fails completely

  • He is smart, he may be able to tell you all sorts of wonderful facts about reality, but really has no idea at all how people work. His particular brand of education is often despotic, it polarizes opinions, its frequently not positive, hes on a personal crusade against what he holds to be untrue....whats the difference between that and what religious fanatics do?

  • Dawkins is very smart, makes so many good points and has so much to offer and yet he is also just as narrow-minded and radical as the people and ideas he opposes, he has blind faith in science and science hasnt given us all the answers yet, there is no equation for consciousness. All too often when he is trying to 'enlighten' people he is condescending, patronizing and offensive to the sensibilities of the people he claims he wants to help.

  • That woman is insane! And brave to sit there talking to Dawkins about DNA, Atlantis, and all that shit in all seriousness. "Alternative medicine is silly, I don't know how anyone thinks it will do anything other than a placebo effect.

Plus, I love how Dawkins reacts to hearing people explaining all their nutty things, it's like he tries to blink away the ridiculousness. Always very polite though. :)

  • 2:50 - Amatuer hypnosis..

  • What you know...you know.

  • 03:08

  • ...and it's done...

5 stars for the crazy lady.

  • Elisis Livingstone's references to Atlantis et cetera are pure Anthroposophy (Rudolf Steiner, Waldorf education, Demeter and all that). Frightfully amazing how all that nonsense has gained wide acceptance and is even partially funded/subsidized by taxpayers. ...

  • "thank you very much" hahaha

  • haha. Dawkins at 3:10 is like wtf??

  • at 4:34 he was like "okay she is mad"

  • "we are living long and promiseful lifes because Science exist"

Did science help people live longer in Nazi Germany? We live long prosperous lives because America exists.

  • Stop kidding yourself. America is a great country. But don't give yourselves all the credit.

  • If you deny that America is the greatest country in history then you probably don't live here and chances are you hate us. Canada is going in the direction of the same Europeans the Americans were escaping from.

  • I don't hate America. Is America the greatest country because it's built up the most dept? Or is America the greatest country because 50% of the population is scientifically illiterate. Which is weird seeing as how America has some of the best universities in the world. There is a lot of great things about America. But it has it's problems too. Like no universal health care.

  • Progressivism, mysticism, communism and usery. Anything else? Thank you for making my point.

  • @urantivirus America is the greatest country cause it has the bombs.

  • @knowwaie

    wow you actually believe that

  • Wow, too dumb to actually construct a comprehensive response?

  • @knowwaie In whole history? You do know in Europe we have buildings five times older then your country? Roads ten times older? I'm pretty sure greatest civilization in history was Roman Empire/Republic. Check this out watch?v=tcz_NHAFGS0

  • @knowwaie depends how u define greatness really. Its the wealthiest nation, consumerism and materialism, Americas greatest achievments, are destroying the world slowly. If everybody in the world lived to the same standard as the average american we would need 10 planet Earths to sustain us....is that how u define greatness?

  • @TheEnjima A nations greatness is measured by the freedoms it provides for it's people. It's that freedom which allowed citizens to invent and innovate. What do you mean by the standards as Americans? How much we consume? It's our consumption which made India and China rich.

  • @knowwaie true, but if you were a black male American u probably wouldn't find those freedoms so liberating. Freedom is a by-product of wealth and prosperity. Wealth and prosperity are usually the result of exploitation.

  • @knowwaie I wouldn't say any nation is the greatest, pros and cons as with everything else, maybe more pros than many places, so there are reasons why someone could say America is the greatest, its just that many of those reasons I happen not to agree with. Massive consumption is nothing to be proud of, it is not a positive quality, and within the next 50yrs I expect we'll all find out, one way or another, the reasons why.

  • @knowwaie An unsustainable and ultimately destructive way of life that only works for a limited few over a limited time? And the biggest issue with America is it wants to be sovereign of the world and yet the average American is largely unaware of the world outside its borders. I dont hate America or Americans by any means, but I don't like the pride they wield, when I hear the words God Bless America, I think; why?

  • @knowwaie The indigenous population lived in harmony with their surroundings for millennia. Its a nation usurped from its native inhabitants forcefully and violently, and then its natural resources were exploited for profit for a minority. If god exists why exactly would he be blessing that?

  • @knowwaie and besides, by your own benchmark for greatness, wealth, America is going to be superceded by nations like India and China sooner or later.

  • @knowwaie chill out man youre way insecure and what this about 'escaping' from europeans lol you practically are european if youre white you are the offpring of europeans who colonised america you only escaped' european in the same way jizz escapes from my penis

  • @fluentinsound "lol you practically are european"

You're not very bright, so i wont bother explaining American history to you.

  • @knowwaie no no no thats why people hate us, because people like you are too ignorant to read history. Im sorry i love my country but in no way shape or form are we the greatest country in history, sure were the World superpower at the moment, but we have been around for what 400 500 years? Our achievements might be great but without china, the middle east and pretty much every other country we would be nothing

  • @knowwaie

Urantivirus is right, knowwaie. It's not that we have a problem with the USA nor the we deny it is one of the greatest countries when it comes to your constitution and leading position in scientific advancement.

But when it comes to waging wars and killing thousands of innocents, having huge economical differences amongst your citizens and having a huge number of scientific illiterates and religious zelots, you are far from the greatest.

  • @Diemedes This is greatest country as long as we are free to be religious. We wage war against people who don't believe in that freedom. There are millions of atheists in the US still living free. Clearly, your view of America is distorted if you think we're an oppressive nation of religious zelots silencing atheists. In fact i feel i'm the one being oppressed by an atheistic government branch who funds evolution research then forces atheistic ideas to be taught in public schools.

  • @knowwaie Your argument is BULL!!! 7 States currently have unconstitutional religious requirements for public office, that article 6 prohibits.

Many states like Pennsylvania's one, recently found unconstitutional; have Blasphemy Laws on the books with specific christian slants' that 1st amed prohibits.

The Tennessee "Butler Act" which was challenged in the Scopes Monkey Trial also made specific reference to the Bible to constrain science by Unconstitutional legislative action 1st amed also.

  • @Zunile03scape They weren't required to be Christians only deists. They were asked if they believe in a higher power. We don't know for sure if this was even enforced. It's even possible that the question was asked by atheist in order to keep out deists.

    -

The Butler Act is correct, and very constitutional. It doesn't say that they must teach the creation story, it only says that they can't deny it. Teachers denying the creation story is, in fact, unconstitutional.

  • @knowwaie Have you even read the United States Constitution, or was it the 700 Club abridged version? Article 6 was meant to make this writen contract our highest law and prevent the use of religious queastion in the selection process of public officals and execution of publc sevices. This dose not say must be at least this religious!

The same gose for the 1st amendment, make your case for a law without relying on religious convictions or reasons reguardless of extreme of belief.

  • @Zunile03scape Who are you blaming though? You said there is a "christian slant" but obviously this is a lie. I know for a fact the question asked of them is a simple, "do you believe in a higher power".

This is only unconstitutional if people are restricted from public office, but there is no case of this ever happening. The key words are "required AS a Qualification". Did you evolve your reading comprehension from apes?

  • @knowwaie What do you think an "Oath" is?

Oath's are required for virtually all public offices and many public services. The addition of those last 4 words(So Help me GOD) added to the end of our Oath's, not present in the Consitution; become an unconstitutional test because of the required nature of the Oath.

  • @Zunile03scape In reality you're nothing more than a bigot expressing personal disagreement and hate towards religion. Religion, by he way, is actually what is protected by the constitution. Not the anti religious. -

You've continuously made false statements. You clearly know nothing about our country or its founding. Do you also believe we should remove "endowed by our creator" from the constitution? People like you should be tried for treason and deported if convicted.

  • @Zunile03scape I know you've been lied to your whole life and wont accept reality but the truth is, we're a Judeo Christian nation as far as the laws and judicial system. I know you're gonna be stupid and bring up the 10 commandments but we're talking about the 'concept' of laws, not the laws of a specific time. The constitution gives everyone 'religious freedom', that is all religions. In other words it gives us freedom from people like you who hate us.

  • @Zunile03scape You're a typical liberal. You hate our country and our values. If a communist party began in our country with a leader promoting the destruction of all religion and murder of anyone who defends it, you would vote them into power. I'm sure you've heard this hundreds of times but you're so demented that you'll never see the obvious error in your thinking. You actually believe the constitution keeps god out of government when even it mentions the creator. Are you retarded?

  • @knowwaie 2008 election cycle RNC threatened to run a campaine against athiest legistature nominee on grounds of being non-religious.

Former RNC chairmen 2008 cycle made a statement about how if god we're mentioned more election would have been different.

Some recent examples christain intolerance in elections I know of.

  • @Zunile03scape From "The Constitution of the United States" a pocket constitution by the National Archives, Washington, DC. The Presidents Oath is found in Article 2 section1 claus 8.

Before he enter on the Execution of his office, he shall take the following Oath or Affirmation: - "I do solemly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.".

  • @Zunile03scape My last comment to Knowwaie on the subect of god and the constitution. The one appearnce of the word "lord" is found in Article 7 in the context of "Year of our Lord" the proper date writing convention for documents at the time. Article 7 is the ratification clause of the Constitution and sets no legal frameworks.

I am not a commie, traitor, retard, or any of the other slurs you used here. Get a real copy of the Constitution ans stop listening to that crap your fed by pastors!

  • @Zunile03scape Are you fucking serious? It was assholes like you who kept repeating the phrase "separation of church and state", while having no idea what the amendment really says. You're only proving my point with every comment. The constitution defends religious belief. You seem to think that the constitution defends your sensitive ears against any religious freedom. Did you even read anything i said. The creator is mentioned all over founding documents. You are an idiot.

  • @Zunile03scape The point is that the early Americans understood that it was a common for governments to either take over or abolish religion. None of the amendments were intended to prevent the church from over powering the state but the other way around. You are the type of person we're defending against, you want the state to impose over all aspects of society. The constitution protects the church, not the state. There has to be something wrong with you not to understand that.

  • @knowwaie The Constitution protects the people to individually purse life, libertry, happieness and justice. The only ways it protects the church is by not granting it power over people to abuse or letting governments invoke it as a tool.

The key principle of the Constitution is that it is a contract that gives everyone a say and limits supression by mob rule. This is why the fed lv trumps state at times and Constution trumps rest except by 2/3 petion of legislature & 3/4 state radifiction.

  • @Zunile03scape If you still deny I have the right to be an american free to pursue life, liberty, justice and happiness because I refuse to bow to religion, than what can I say; we are enemies.

I will not surrender my freedom to your graby religious hand. I don't need to micromanage your life, so enough with saying I should only be so lucky to have you and religion to meddle in mine.

  • @Zunile03scape The constitution defends the people from the state. A church is a segregation of the people. And it's you asking me to surrender my freedom, and my understanding of American history. In fact you pretty much deny all of history don't you? You have no idea what the constitution says but you would rather bend it in submission to your radical views than understand it.

  • @knowwaie You are a worthless idiot and a testament to why America is the token joke of the first world.

  • Hah. What world are you living it? Holy shit you're dumb.

  • I can't get over how retarded you are. It boggles my mind.

  • In fact if you could hold your head out of your ass long enough to have a coherent thought you would realize that many of the things wrong with America today come from the very ideologies you support. Liberal retards like you how no foundational philosophy. You're chasing your own tail.

  • I'm not a liberal. Nice try, redneck. Stick with your bronze age myths and see where your joke of a country gets.

  • @knowwaie you make no sense on your statetament. what is your point on comparing Nazi Germany 50 ys ago, with nowadays medical science?

  • I wasn't? I was comparing ideologies.

  • @knowwaie Actually, the greatest "country" in the world's history is definitively Greece. The establishment of formal methods of logic, philosophy, science (the ancient greeks built a steam engine and a mechanical computer), the most famous ruins known, apart from the pyramids. These things make Greece the most significant country in world's history. To say that America is the best country ever is simply stupid. No doubt the US has done great things, but at the same time, it has failed equally

  • Human failure is always an issue. America has the longest standing constitution in history. Nice try bro.

  • @knowwaie Define constitution. The US has a piece of paper which is continually debated upon, with sections that are revoked or edited with By-laws. To suggest the influence of a country by its laws is mildly foolish, at the least. And considering the US has lasted 400 years, whereas many countries have been around for far longer, also suggest that the US is not the best.

  • @knowwaie If you for one second think that nazi-german doctrine = science, you are sadly mistaken.

Nazi german doctrine is a good example of what happens when you let the forces of personal belifs and misconceptions, rather then scientific evidens constitute the basis of how we understand the world.

  • @Elak666b First of all, are you saying that you have no personal beliefs and rely only on science? There were scientist in Germany you know, and Nazi science spoke of evolution and common ancestry, then this was combined with personal belief to answer question that science isn't capable of answering. In the same way, people today are treated like nothing more than bags of chemicals, this is personal belief combined with science. Eventually we'll find that the chemicals do more harm than good.

  • @knowwaie It's common when you can't invalidate someone's argument to bring up nazi germany or hitler himself. Science is responsible for the polio vaccing, blood transfusions, and knowledge about germs.

  • @krissy4nik The word science means knowledge. So knowledge is responsible for knowledge? You clowns talking about 'science' as if it's a manufacturing company. If it were up to you then we would go in the same direction as Nazi Germany with government dictated knowledge ruling over all dissenters. Now go ahead and tell me the first amendment is unscientific.

  • @knowwaie According to Webster's New Collegiate Dictionary the definition of science is "knowledge attained through study or practice," or "knowledge covering general truths of the operation of general laws, esp. as obtained and tested through scientific method [and] concerned with the physical world." Dont start with that nazi germany bullshit i never mentioned the government nor did i mention the 1st amendment grow up!

  • @krissy4nik Or systematic knowledge, as i call it. What is higher than Government in your philosophy? Even knowledge is nothing without application and enforcement. You don't have a complete philosophy, so nothing to contribute in your responses. Go away.

  • @knowwaie You dont need government to apply knowledge. In fact it can actually hinder scientific progress as in the case of stem cell research. Im not puting forth any philosophical points. You are the one preaching a world view when you make claims like america is the greatest country in the world and america is responsible for all progress not science.

  • @krissy4nik Who was it that put Scientific research in the hands of the Government? Whether or not you admit it, Government is the highest authority according to you view. America clearly is the greatest country. The reason was because the government was limited by laws and the people were free to innovate. How can Government be under the law if they dictate the law? It was the people who don't believe in a God who put the Government in that position.

You know where stem cells come from right?

  • @knowwaie You dont nohing you say has a basis in fact and you offer no evidence for it so its a bit difficult to reason with you ... in fact its futile i think im going to follow Alkoholwioslaidziwki's lead and cut this thing short

  • @krissy4nik I'll cut it short with a simple question. Has the knowledge of evolution cured cancer?

  • @knowwaie That question is invalid on so many levels. Evolution is one of many things science deals with. The topic at hand is medical science. MEDICAL scientists have cured many diseases. They have not yet cured cancer but the beauty of science is that it is a continual process of discovery. Knowledge of how various viruses evolve has led to more effective treatments.

  • @krissy4nik Of course it's valid. First of all 'knowledge of how viruses evolve' has nothing to do with 'common ancestry'. Completely irrelevant when it's come to advancements in knowledge of the physical world, knowledge of this supposed grandiose evolution wont somehow make the world more physical than currently it is. Secondly, we've already discovered cancer, that is as far as biological science can take us, And Dawkins expertise seams to be in biological science.

  • @knowwaie You said evolution. Evolution on a miniature scale and on a large scale are evolution. You cannot say look i will learn about how a virus might evolve because it may save my life but i will close my eyes and say lalala about evolution on a larger scale because i dont like its implications. You really cant make the world more physical than it is but you can understand it better. As for discovering cancer being as far as biological science can take us you are completely bullshit.

  • @krissy4nik Evolution on any scale is an exaggeration at best. Taking a slight chemical change then drawing extravagant conclusions entirely on supposition. Not to mention the implications, I don't think anyone understands that if large scale evolution is true, that also means that all religions are a result of evolution in the same way as science is. The concept of absolutes and infinites are not within the spectrum of science but still rationally understood as natural establishment.

  • @knowwaie Haha dude you have no idea how you just owned yourself! You know maby something called aspirin? Who do you think first released that specific drug? Yep thats right the same company that first released heroin. The same company that was well involved in medical experiments on people in the times of nazi Germany. And you're damn right we hate americans, you know why? Because most of the time they happen to be arrogant morons such as yourself, that should be turned back to primary school.

  • @Alkoholwioslaidziwki Oh? And what has aspirin cured? I feel like i should be arrogant talking to idiots like you. How did you not know that drugs reduce symptoms and don't cure diseases? You guys need Hitler over there. You're breeding too many retards.

  • @knowwaie Oh yes of course drugs haven't cured anythything, it was done by magical influence of tooth- faries! Live expectancy is much higher because of unicorns and dancing strawberries. Do you even think when you're writting? And whats up with the fascination of Hitler and nazi Germany? You bring that up in every single comment, he's your idol of some sort? And you are claiming that we are breeding retards? Check out the iliteracy rate in your precious country.

  • @Alkoholwioslaidziwki What type of medicine were required to progress evolution before man? Do you bother to think at all? Take your time and try to think straight. You believe evolution, which means nature did it all on it's own. According to your own view drugs are not necessary, nature can do it all on its own. Literacy is useless for someone as clueless as you.

  • @Alkoholwioslaidziwki Oh by the way, in case you were wondering. We Christians believe good health is maintained through nutrition, exercise, and in some cases mental stability. How are those magical chemicals working for you medicine man? If you have any cognition left you might realize that it was we who were right all along. The condition of American education and health is due, in part to ideas you defend. Jackass.

  • @knowwaie I've read couple more of your comments and you are clearly a troll or a complete retard. Either way it's pointless to talk to you. Enjoy beeing dumb!

  • @Alkoholwioslaidziwki I'm dumb? You're trying to tell me that medicine is a necessity in a world that evolved by purely natural processes. You have to have rocks in your head to think that makes sense. Even unicorns are more believable than that logic. Keep playing your fiddle in your emo band, faggot.

  • @knowwaie Lol you really need to try harder dude. Thanks for making me laugh anyway. And thanks for giving the proof to what i said before. ;)

  • @Alkoholwioslaidziwki The life expectancy is higher? Have you even read the bible?! Noah and those other dudes lived for hundreds of years! lol

Please don't take my comment seriously.

  • @ender003 :DD nice one.

In all seriousness, bullshit healing existed long before modern medicine, but people were dying in droves off epidemics. Diseases and wounds that were sure to lead to death then are treatable now. Life expectancy now would have been unimaginable then. But people ignore all the evidence and run after quacks selling toad piss, angel tears, tiger penises, massage performed by your dead ancestors and a lot of other exiting and expensive bogus.

  • @knowwaie wat !?! u r so full of shit! In nazi germany people had much longer lifespans than wat they did, say 200 years before, thanx to science and medicine and if u refering to the fact that the jews were slaughtered by hitler as the reason that people in nazi germany "werent living longer" then u r an absolute dipshit

  • @lequaie1234 The lifespan of who? Healthy people or diseased people? Treating the bubonic plague doesn't qualify for increasing people's life span. Science has done nothing to increase the life span of the average individual. It would be completely retarded to think that it does. You're talking about treatment of disease, which medicine cannot cure, it only reduces symptoms or speeds up recovery. Let me know when science improves vitamins and minerals. You know nothing. Stop responding.

  • @knowwaie ignorant fool, America's scientist came from where? GERMANY you dumb shit. Most of our so called amazing "american" discoveries came from german and british scientists that were brought to america. People like you are the sole reason why i hate living in America sometimes, i hate being grouped together with mindless bigots like yourself

  • @Warlordx91 @Warlordx91 "Operation Paperclip " I've heard of it and i think mentioned it in an earlier comment. As i had said the vast majority of American science originated in Nazi Germany.

    -

The American achievement was taking power away from the British empire, and we would be nothing without every other country? Do you even know the history of the country you're supposedly a citizen of?

  • @knowwaie Does living longer mean living better?

  • @knowwaie sadly... we do have quite a bit of thanks to give to the attrocious practices of nazi scientists... their disgusting, inhumane experiments advanced our medical knoweldge to a degree that probably would not have been reached for another 50 years... and I'm an American, we don't have the highest life expectancy in the world either... we have a bit of a health issue here. Perhaps you haven't noticed the ridiculous amount of fatasses around you.

  • @capereyda Everything you said is completely irrelevant. I've never even hinted that Americans have higher life expectancy, i was arguing that life expectancy of the average healthy person hasn't changed over thousands of years. Despite he fact that today's scientist claim so much responsibility for improving the average life span. When attempting to determine the average life span of a person, you don't factor the ones that died young from life threatening viruses. I though that common sense.

  • @knowwaie I'm fairly sure you're wrong on the life expectancy of a healthy individual before the modern age. Please, if I'm wrong correct me and show me evidence, a link would be nice. But as I understand it, the life expectancy of most people, surviving past their childhood, before the modern age was between 40 and 55 depending on what part of the world one lived in. Also it may be noted that even the life expectancy of the wealthy wasn't all that much greater than that of the common folk

  • @capereyda Those averages mean only the majority. There were a majority of people dying at the ages 40-50, but there were still a minority who lived longer. Average life expectancy in ancient Rome was 20-30, yet the majority of emperors lived past 60. It is the same as saying, if there are significantly more abortions than births then the average person will have been aborted. But this is far from the point of my original comment..

  • @knowwaie Lol thats the biggest load of shit!

  • @17thSHIT The whole world revolves around America and Israel.

  • @knowwaie America population = 280m, Israel population - 7.74m... Yeah fucking right. What about Russia, Japan, CHINA! What about those countries who have change the world. That's an even biggest load of shit than your first comment.

  • @17thSHIT Changed the world with what? Communism?... I'm surprised you didn't mention Germany.

  • @17thSHIT What the fuck... So if a third world country has a higher population then it is more civilized than a first world country?.. That seems to be your reasoning here. Or are the countries that have had the most corrupt tyrants the better of them?

Germany 'changed the world'... The early Roman church changed the fucking world... You're retarded.

  • @knowwaie oh ffs, cant understand..

  • Every single drug we adopted for common use has, most probably, a deep function. One that is to ascertain, in most cases, people are going to get throught that disease and keep living. We can only be sure that, MOST PROBABLY, we are living long and promiseful lifes because Science exist, and with Science medicine.

The misuse of Science, as the misuse of medicine, is not something to be denied. However the good Science does to mankind can't be simple thrown away.

  • The woman is fucked up and should be sent to a mental hospital.

  • Science is very hard to manipulate considering it's not ran or regulated by any specific country or group. But they all work together and compete with each other. Can you give me an example of non-science in a scientific field? If someone does evil. You can't blame it on science. And finally what does any of this have to do with superstition?

  • "Can you give me an example of non-science in a scientific field? If someone does evil. You can't blame it on science"

In the video Dawkins mentioned 'scientific medicine'. Do you agree with drugging young children with riddlin and prozac? Not to say that it is 'evil' but there have been many cases of medicines that were said to be safe but were then recalled for having dangerous side effects.

  • True. But would you agree that science has done much more good for the world then bad?

  • Modern science? No. I don't like the idea of dumping chemicals into every ones bodies in an attempt to help us 'evolve'.

The word science means knowledge and knowledge is good or bad depending on how it's used.

  • "I don't like the idea of dumping chemicals into every ones bodies in an attempt to help us 'evolve'. "

Funny, do you know how evolution works?

  • Do you deny that young kids are being drugged up on riddlin? Am i the one doing it? Ask the people who decided these drugs were a good idea if they know how evolution works.

  • There we go. I don't deny that kids are being drugged up. But all medical science is anti-evolution.

  • But medical science is said to be the greatest advancement from the theory of evolution. In fact if you ask someone who believes evolution 'what good is the theory' i guarantee they will mention our understanding of biological chemistry (or lack there of).

  • Just because medical science can use and learn from evolution. It doesn't mean it helps the natural process. I'm not saying I have anything against medical science.

  • @knowwaie

Do you even have the slightest idea what it is like to have ADD or ADHD without medication? Let me make an educated guess here; you read some sites that say "ritalin is bad" and some horror stories about ritalin users who have had complications and jumped to conclusion.

Yes, ritalin is quite simmilar to amfetamines, but due to the diffrent brain chemistry of ADHD and ADD patients the use of speed actualy calms them down and helps them concentrate.

Do some research next time please =)

  • Yup, a good friend of mine has ADHD and when he didn't take his meds he ended up with his head through a window via a kick in the face. True story. He picked a fight with someone twice his size.

You misunderstood. It's not that ritalin is bad (though it is in some ways) but it's just not the solution and certainly wont help Dawkins case for evolutionary advancement. If these drugs are so revolutionary than so is moonshine.

  • For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven. - Matthew 5:20

  • wacky cracky fun ;-)

  • So fucking funny when Dawkins opens his eyes and they dart around to see that everyone else seems totally hypnotised! lol
