@thekush88 A 2-step is a set RPM limit that it will stay at when clutch-full throttle rather than having to limit your foot pressure from normal over-rev. This also allows better focus on reaction time because you can watch the tree and not your RPMs. Lastly, if you have a turbo set up like this Mustang, the 2-step allows for the turbo to spool fully before launch.
@Domman56 It helps with drag racing but it really shines in Turbo cars. If you hold 3000rpms regularly you dont have boost so when you launch you have to wait for boost to build. 2-step builds boost since you are at full throttle so you have more power at launch
@IXGQ4LifeXI I'm just curious, on a belt driven supercharger aren't you boosting even when you're just holding the throttle manually? I understand the point for a turbo (I have one on my boosted k20) I just don't understand why on a supercharged
@jedwards09elmira easier to launch.. set up, find perfect rpm to launch at & floor & go. No rolling onto throttle after launch u already at full throttle .. should make launching easier. I want to try on my car
if you want to be consistent then you use a 2-step. Also you aren't at full throttle if you don't use one. You are part throttle holding it while I am full throttle and only have to release the clutch and i launch at full throttle.
@06Steeda Well not ur not boosting holding 3500rpms because you are at say 25% throttle but a supercharger boost does kick in pretty much instantly. But a 2step still helps you fine tune your launch rpm and launch at full throttle. I had on my turbo car and I do want to get on my supercharged car,.

@thekush88 this prevents you from redlining the car when you are racing so you dont blow the motor.
