This guy is a lefty but I have to say that he wrote a very good book on CHE. For informational purposes I would recommend it. I think he is fair and this is coming form a hard core conservative.
i recently bought the book and i am half way through it-false assumption. Che is no different from george washignton, ronald reagan or simon bolivar, who are not too commonly looked upon in a bad way.
well... thats if you consider only literally picking up the gun and shooting to be responsible. reagan for example had no problem approving mass genocide i central america because a village was suspected to be associated with those damn rebel "commies". any tactics to protect "democracy" which there was none of in central america.
Thats not true either. The Sandinista were killing a ton of people, Noreuga and the Sandinistas were smuggling drugs. Look at the shambles Cuba's in right at this precise moment. Che also want the Soviets to launch nuclear missiles even though he new it would lead to annihilation of many civilizations. Even if you don't want to accept that, than you shall read within the books first 300 pages were CHE kills somebody that has nothing to do with the revolution and Fidel also disagreed.
thats not true? My cousin admitted to causing terror on indigenous villages in guatemala while he was in the army , following orders from the government which reagan supported. he was wicked but not stupid and unaware. Yes che hated the U.S.A with all his heart... he saw all the problems of latin america a result of the "yankees" evil ambitions. no murdering citizens is not right, but the truth is both sides kill, thats how the struggle for power goes.
If your cousin did that than he should be in jail. There is no way that would be American policy because there would be so many books written about that and information would be readily attainable. That would be something that people would talk about to this day. Not just some left wing loons who make baseless claims and then put it on the internet.
yes he should be , but then so should the u.s soldier, and i che should be condemned as a ruthless murderer so should goerge washington. im reasonable and believe in equality. but your a right wing radical who can not even acknowledge the truth. i do not discuss with close minded stubborn individuals, have a nice day
first of all, i hope your feel proud that you are attempting to belittle a high school student. Second , you should actually get out of your comfort zone and explore the world, see things for yourself, and maybe then will you open your eyes. do you have any reason? don't criticize spelling or grammar either because yours is not perfect and its youtube-nobody really cares.
sum up george washington and che belong in the same category.=)
I'm not belittling you. I'm giving good advice. If you can correct me on my grammar vs yours than I'm all yours. Why don't I get out a little? Hm, let me explain... I have been to 49 states in the US and 11 different countries. I lived in Chile for 2 years and am fluent in Spanish. I have a college degree in Finance. The only thing history can remember for the good of Che is that he actually believed in what he was fighting for. He didn't believe in the elite class.
well i do not understand how you can support supporters of a corrupt government-considering you have been exposed to Latin America-but anything besides the left(i.e allende's assassination). thats what i admire about che, not his politics, but his resistance to U.S meddlling in Latin American affairs. My beef with the right is foreign policy, not so much domestic. peace man
The truth about US actions in Guatemala and Central America actually are the subject of tons of books. Start with "Bitter Fruit" by Steven Kinzer, "Empire's Workshop" by Greg Grandin, "The Jaguar Smile" by Salman Rushdie, "Open Veins Of Latin America" by Eduardo Galeano.
I disagree. America has spent way to much time in Latin America, assiting and supporting dicatorships.

Except that those guys aren't responsible for murders and mass executions which are clearly documented in that book.

A couple of things that should help you in your life:
1. Get a history book
2. Learn to write so people can understand what your saying
3. Learn real facts so you can argue correct points
