@medfry Tropic of Thunder has nothing to do with this film. This film is based on the true story of Hill 937 in A Shau Valley back in 1969. Tropic was only a parody comedy and in no way relates to this film whatsoever.
@Warflicks they did rip off parts of this film for tropic thunder though, but they ripped off pretty much all nam movies, the part where they escape to the chopper is a rip of rambo 2 and thin red line when the NVA attack and push the americans down the river
